Mercedes-Benz Introduces The 2010 E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID

STUTTGART, GERMANY - Mercedes-Benz recently released details about their new 2010 E-Class diesel hybrid car that will go on sale in Europe shortly. Called the E 300 BlueTec HYBRID, this new Mercedes offers both ample power, high fuel efficiency and very reduced emissions. Mercedes-Benz says the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID E-Class will be the first of three new models that have BlueTEC technology, a new 7G-Tronic transmission, and a hybrid powertrain that they will introduce to the market.
The new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class BlueTEC HYBRID has a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that has a maximum power output of 150 kW/204 hp and an incredible output torque of 480 Nm. The E 300 HYBRID's 2.2-liter Mercedes-Benz engine is mated to a compact modular hybrid drive electric motor system that produces an additional 15kW/20 hp. With the combined diesel engine/electric motor hybrid powertrain, Mercedes-Benz says the 2010 E-Class E300 HYBRID has a maximum torque output of 560 Nm, giving it acceleration equivalent to a conventional large six cylinder diesel models.
The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID has a fuel consumption of just 5.1 litres/100 km in the combined city/highway test and it produces a very low 134 grams of CO2 per kilometre which makes this Mercedes-Benz E-Class Hybrid's emissions equivalent to the output of some low emissions compact cars.
