February 2008 Top Selling Models!

February is what could be called a slow month for car sales, with everyone wanting to spend a few dollars on their family over the Chinese New Year festival, cars are usually shoved aside. Another factor that affected car sales in 2008 was the adverse weather that affected most of Southern China.

The Santana still comes out on top, but the Jetta has disappeared from the Top 10 in January. Strong Santana sales could be attributed to the fact that many taxi companies are currently upgrading their range of Santanas to the newer Santana GP/Vista model.

Mercato da 500 mila auto al mese solo il 2% dei cinesi ha la macchina , il parco circolante é di 6 milioni circa da qui al 2015 é previsto a 260 milioni.

Augurarmi una crescita di questo mercato proporzionale alla popolazione, mi fa venire i brividi pensando all'impatto ambientale. Il problema è che presto o tardi i cinesi ci arriveranno.

China vehicle sales down 18% in July


Recent statistics from the China Passenger Vehicle association have revealed that sales of automobiles are down 18% compared to sales in June. Shanghai GM and FAW VW are the top selling companies in July, Guangzhou Automobile also saw sales rise by 57%, but all the other marques are down.

Big losers in June were Beijing Hyundai (down 50%) and Chery Auto (down 20%) Dongfeng-PSA were also down 50%.

Dongfeng Nissan saw a massive boost to sales with the launch of the new Teana, which hit a high of 8905 orders in the first month of sales.

In the mid size luxury sedan sector, in which the Teana also competes, the Honda Accord took the top sales crown with it selling 17,191 cars. Its nearest rival the Toyota Camry sold just 9,439 cars in July. Previously the Camry nearly always outsold the Accord, but it seems the new Accord is taking back lost ground.

Ventas Octubre 2008: China
Durante el pasado mes de Octubre las matriculaciones de vehículos nuevos en China crecieron en un 1,37% en comparación con el mismo mes del año anterior, con un total de 715.700 unidades.

En el acumulado del año, entre Enero y Octubre las matriculaciones subieron de manera más importante si cabe, con un crecimiento del 11,1% en relación al mismo periodo del 2007 y un total de 7,940.000 unidades vendidas.

Los modelos más vendidos en China durante Noviembre

Decir que la crisis ha afectado también al mercado chino no es nuevo pero tampoco esperábamos una caída tan grande como la sufrida en Noviembre, superior al 15%, y que de seguir así podría provocar grandes problemas debido al gran stock almacenado -por no haber previsto lo que se les venía encima-.

Por marcas, las más vendidas en Noviembre han sido:
