Parzialmente Ot: ma la Mazda e le altre Jap (fortissime negli Usa), saranno ancora interessate al mercato EU/Italia oppure......?
Tecnicamente sono molto valide (vedi la CX5 , che vorrei acquistare...), con qualche attenzione alla qualita' percepita e alle finiture , potrebbero risalire nelle vendite. Sempre che a loro interessi....

FEBRUARY 1, 2012 (MAHWAH, NJ) – Jaguar Land Rover North America today reported January 2012 sales: Land Rover sales for the month were 3,205 up 41 percent from 2,271 in 2011; Jaguar sales for the month were 985 up 5 percent from 935 in 2011; Jaguar Land Rover North America sales for the month were 4,190 up 31 percent from 3,206 units in 2011. 2011 full year JLRNA sales were up 11 percent from 2010. "For the beginning of the new year we are seeing a continuation of the strong business results Jaguar Land Rover North America had in 2011," said Andy Goss, President, JLRNA. "In 2011 JLR in North America surpassed the 50,000 unit sales mark for the first time since 2007 indicating the strength of our brands and our business in this market. We look forward to business remaining strong throughout the new year for both our brands."



U.S. BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

Land Rover
For the month of January, 2012, Land Rover sales were up 41 percent continuing the momentum established over the last two years. For 2011 full year, Land Rover's U.S. sales were up 21 percent driven by the growing appeal of the luxury SUV lineup and improved business conditions. The volume leader for January, 2012 was the Range Rover Sport with 1,129 units sold, up 35 percent from 838 sales in 2011. The all-new Range Rover Evoque, winner of the 2012 North American Truck of the Year, hit 680 units sold in January, 2012.
Land Rover's 2012 Model Year line-up features four models: The 230-hp 3.2 liter I6 powered LR2; the LR4 powered by the 375-hp 5.0 liter V8; the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover, both available with the Naturally-aspirated 375-hp V8 and 510-hp supercharged 5.0 liter V8 powertrains. The Model Year 12 Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV went on sale in October. The 2012 Range Rover Evoque has a starting price of $43,995* for the five-door, and $44,995* for the coupe and achieves 28 MPG** EPA highway and 18 MPG** EPA city.


Jaguar
Jaguar's U.S. sales for January, 2012 were up 5 percent to 985 units, from 935 in 2011. The volume leader for the month was the Jaguar XF with 455 sales, up 37 percent from 331 units sold in January, 2011.
Jaguar's 2012 Model Year line-up features three models: The Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, powered by either the naturally-aspirated 385-hp V8, the 470-hp supercharged 5.0 liter V8 or the 510-hp supercharged 5.0 liter V8; the Jaguar XF sports sedan powered by either the naturally-aspirated 385-hp V8, the 470-hp supercharged 5.0 liter V8 or, in the XFR, the 510-hp supercharged 5.0 liter V8 powertrains; and the XK coupe and convertible sports cars powered by either the naturally-aspirated 385-hp V8, or for the XKR, the 510-hp supercharged 5.0 liter V8 powertrains. For 2012, Jaguar has added its highest performance model ever, the 2012 Jaguar XKR-S coupe and convertible with a 550-hp supercharged 5.0 liter V8 powertrain.

a loro interessa eccome, solo che ci sono un paio di punti che rendono per loro più complicato vendere qui che non negli Usa.

anzitutto, per i costruttori che esportano, c'è il discorso del cambio dello yen. in un mercato in ripresa come quello americano, il problema è evidentemente sentito meno che da noi (o forse il dollaro è più forte dello yen e questo spinge le importazioni dal Giappone ?).

in secondo luogo, il livello di finiture e materiali standard americano è di più basso che in Europa. questo significa che le auto giapponesi che arrivano lì, sono, rispetto ai corrispondenti modelli importati da noi, rifiniti peggio e quindi vendibili anche a un prezzo più basso che non da noi, il che li rende ulteriormente competitivi in quel mercato .
