GENEVA -- Audi expects to win customers from volume manufacturers for its new A4 Avant station wagon.
The A4 Avant will attract buyers of similarly sized cars from Ford, Opel and Peugeot, said Michael Renz, Audi's head of central marketing.
Renz said that he expects the A4 Avant to win customers who normally buy Ford Focus or Opel Astra station wagons " who want to upgrade to a premium brand for the first time."
Renz said that the sporty styling of the new A4 Avant would attract buyers.
" We will gain a lot of customers from volume brands," Renz told Automotive News Europe.
The fourth-generation of the car is sleeker and sportier than its predecessor. It has a lower roofline and more aggressively styled headlights and taillights.
Audi debuted the A4 Avant at the Geneva auto show. It goes on sale starting in the spring.
Non e che Renz ha le idee confuse riguardo le SW generaliste di simili dimensioni?....sono Mondeo SW,Vectra SW etc.....non certamente Focus SW o Astra SW...
