JD POWER 2011: HONDA primo marchio non-premium per qualità

Honda superata solo da Lexus nell'initial quality study di JD Powers per il 2011. (studio della qualità nei primi 90 giorni dalla consegna dell'auto).

Honda INSIGHT, CIVIC prime a pari merito per numero minimo di problemi nella categoria Compatte.

Honda earns seven initial quality segment awards—more than any other brand in the study this year and the most the brand has ever received—and three awards for plant quality.

This year, Honda is one of two automakers to earn the Platinum Plant Quality Award, which represents the highest initial quality among plants producing vehicles for the U.S. market.

Honda also receives the Bronze Plant Quality Award for the Americas for the Crosstour, CR-V, and Element manufacturing facility, and the Silver Plant Quality Award, Asia Pacific for the Civic and Insight production facility.

In all, Honda earns seven model awards in the 2011 IQS for the Accord, Crosstour, Fit, Element, and Ridgeline, as well as the Insight and Civic in a tie. The Crosstour, an allnew model in 2010, and the Accord receive awards for a second consecutive year. In the Compact Crossover/SUV segment, Honda achieves the first and second rank positions for the Element and CR-V. The Odyssey ranks second in the Minivan segment.

Honda has ranked among top 10 industry brands in initial quality for 21 of the past 25 years.

Pensare che tesoro ha Honda Italia in mano e come lo hanno ridotto......

il tutto nonostante molti si scaldino sulla supposta qualità perduta di Honda...

che non siano più le Honda di una volta, non ci piove.

che abbiano fatto un passo, e anche più di uno, indietro, nemmeno.

però quanto ad affidabilità imho restano più di un passo avanti a buona parte della concorrenza!

Ottimo risultato di Honda e delle case giapponesi, anche gli americani con Cadillac, GMC e Chevrolet hanno ottenuto buoni risultati, sopra o al pari dei tedeschi (anche se sono pochine le auto tedesche americane vendute anche in EU).

Comunque l' IQS non c'entra molto con l'affidabilità, essendo basato sui report nei primi 3 mesi dall'acquisto, è più uno studio sulla qualità del prodotto, i migliori stanno sopra "l' industry average", i peggiori, quelli che producono auto con più difetti, sotto a scendere fino all'ultimo. Ovviamente chi ha meno difetti nei primi 3 mesi può averne di più nei primi 3 anni, anche se comunque non è cosi perchè la lista sull'affidabiltià a lungo termine è molto simile a questa.
