Record al Nürburgring per la Carrera GT

The Carrera GT is the fastest car to lap the Nürburgring North Circuit. With the clock showing 7’32.44 minutes, Horst von Saurma, Chief Editor of the German specialist magazine “sport auto,” achieved a new record for road-approved vehicles, at the wheel of the 612 HP strong Porsche. He completed the 22.6 km long round in the Eifel at an average speed of 164 km/h.


"It was really touch and go. The circuit was dirty in some sectors, which didn’t make it any easier,” beamed Horst von Saurma with glee, after his record round.

For ten years the magazine has been awarding an (unofficial) challenge cup to the driver who drives the fastest round on the Nürburgring using a road-approved car. Thus the race for the best time round the circuit has become a prestigious affair, as Nürburgring is still the best and most honest test of the quality of a vehicle chassis, motor performance, aerodynamics and naturally of tires. Since 1995, times have gradually improved from 7’52 minutes to the current 7’32.44 minutes. Wolfgang Dürheimer, Member of Porsche’s Management Board responsible for Research and Development: “The time achieved by Horst von Saurma is excellent and demonstrates the potential of our car. Until recently such times could exclusively be clocked up with pure racing prototypes.”

The journalist von Saurma clocked up the fastest round in the context of a so-called “super test,” which the magazine executes regularly. Top times on the Nürburgring, always driven by the same tester, are among the criteria. Wolfgang Dürheimer: “It is precisely for this reason that the 7’32.44 minutes are so easy for us to put in to context and are thus valuable.”

ma qui Porsche e la rivista "Sport Auto" prendono veramente in giro tutti. Quando la Carrera GT fu presentata sempre lo stesso Horst v. Saurma ha fatto un tempo di 7.40, che é stato una delusione xche una 996 modificata da TechArt faceva 7.43.

Adesso hanno cambiato magari il set-up e le gomme per ottenere questo tempo. Per una differenza di ben 8 secondi non vedo altre possibilitá

Grazie delle precisazioni, Granturismo :wink: ; probabilmente in Porsche hanno paura che qualche Tuner riesca a migliorare il loro vecchio tempo di 7.40

Che nn e' tanto difficile,visto che i suddetti tuner,se devono fare qualche modifica,la vanno a testare proprio la....quanto mi vorrei fare un giro su sta pista...ah a riprova,basti vedere come le prime sono tutte porsche,per carita' gran macchine,ma nn riesco a immaginare una lamborghini meno performante di una porsche

certo che tra le auto della lista di granturismo, manca una certa Enzo Ferrari, altrimenti se c'era lei, ciao che 7.40, avrebbe stracciato sia quel record che quello nuovo, non ci sono dubbi gente...

quanto mi vorrei fare un giro su sta pista...

Si, beati quelli che abitano vicono. Una mia amica fa un giro ogni settimana o con la sua 147 GTA o con una Porsche 993 "modificata" con ben 500cv.

Il giro record su quella pista é del lontano 1983. Stefan Bellof - il pilota tedesco più talentato di tutti tempi - ha fatto registrare un tempo di 6.11,13 min. qualificandosi in pole con una Porsche 956.

@megale85: Non hanno provato la Enzo xche bisogna aver corragio su quella pista. Penso che ormai sarebbe troppo pericoloso ... Il giro che ha fatto Bellof é veramente una cosa pazesca, pensi bene che l`unico giro sotto 7´ della F1 é di Lauda e sappiamo bene che la Enzo é molto vicina come prestazioni a quella vecchia Ferrari 312T. Oggi, secondo me, non ci sono piloti capaci (von Saurma ha +/- 50 anni) di affrontare la "Nordschleife" con una bestia come la Enzo.

MC12 su un percorso come questo sarebbe decisamente piu' veloce della Enzo....del resto e' una vettura di omologazione per una vettura di competizione che deriva appunto da enzo....cioe' una enzo competizione in versione stradale....

La MC12 potrebbe anche essere più veloce di enzo visto che la sua aerodinamica è ancora più curata... certo, le mancano 30 cv... ma nn dovrebbero pesare troppo.
