The long rear overhang also creates an impressive, large cargo capacity of 510 liters—a figure unchanged from the previous model. Aerodynamic efficiency. The car's aerodynamics were also optimized by the new proportions and more precise design DNA. Dopo aver presentato la Symbioz Concept al Salone di Francoforte, la Renault ha voluto concretizzare il suo impegno verso la guida autonoma, presentando un prototipo marciante denominato Symbioz 2. Se la prima è una visione di un nuovo concetto di mobilità per il 2030, la seconda è una concreta anticipazione di quello che i clienti Renault potranno trovare nelle concessionarie nel 2023. 500 kW di picco con batterie da 72 kWh. La Symbioz 2 conferma la scelta del powertrain elettrico e dei sistemi di guida autonoma di Livello 4, quelli in grado di governare in maniera completamente automatizzata il veicolo, pur mantenendo a bordo i comandi tradizionali. La vettura è dotata di due motori elettrici sull'asse posteriore con una potenza totale di picco di 500 kW e 600 Nm, abbinati a batterie da 700 V da 72 kWh (con la piattaforma già predisposta per varianti fino a 100 kWh). I 100 km/h da fermo si raggiungono in sei secondi, mentre l'autonomia non è stata dichiarata. La ricarica sfrutta sistemi rapidi da 150 kW e consente di recuperare l'80% dell'energia in 30 minuti. Design ispirato alla Concept. Il design riprende alcuni degli spunti della Symbioz, specie nell'equilibrio dei volumi e nella organizzazione dello spazio interno. Con 4,92 metri e 3,07 metri di passo, con 1,44 metri di altezza, la vettura promette un grande confort e sfrutta al meglio i ridotti ingombri meccanici. Grazie all'ampia superficie vetrata dell'intera parte superiore l'interno è anche molto luminoso e la nuova plancia a sviluppo orizzontale, che integra gli schermi Oled dedicati a strumentazione e infotainment. Il pavimento piatto, l'assenza della console centrale e la specifica disposizione delle bocchette di areazione hanno permesso di creare uno spazio interno modulare. La zona posteriore, con due sedili singoli, propone la curiosa soluzione del rivestimento di legno curvo, che insieme alla linea di cintura alta crea una maggiore privacy. Forme e aerodinamica al centro. La carrozzeria è stata studiata in modo da offrire la migliore efficienza aerodinamica. Oltre alle canalizzazioni nei paraurti, nei passaruota e nella zona dei montanti posteriori, è presente un elemento attivo sul portellone. In più il progetto è stato sviluppato in funzione della guida autonoma, integrando al meglio tutti i sensori e le telecamere in maniera fluida e discreta. Per informare gli altri utenti dell'attivazione della guida autonoma la vettura modifica le luci a Led esterne con una specifica tonalità blu. Tre modalità di guida. Evolvendo il concetto delle Renault attuali, la Symbioz 2 adotta il Multi-Sense 3.0 dal quale è possibile selezionare le modalità di guida: Classic, Dynamic e AD, alle quali corrispondono anche tre fragranze diffuse nell'ambiente interno. La prima è quella standard e propone una guida convenzionale, la seconda esalta le prestazioni e offre una risposta più grintosa del powertrain, mentre la terza attiva la guida autonoma. Quest'ultima include tre diverse opzioni: Alone@Home, Relax e Lounge, che modificano gli spazi interni e offrono ambienti diversi in base alle preferenze del guidatore. Giocare, rilassarsi e conversare. Nella modalità Alone@Home volante e plancia arretrano di 12 centimetri per offrire maggiore spazio. Nella modalità Relax i sedili anteriori assumono la posizione "zero Gravity" e viene attivata una simulazione di realtà virtuale studiata dalla Ubisoft, che trasmette sul visore dedicato delle immagini basate sui sensori della vettura. Nella modalità Lounge, infine, i braccioli dei sedili anteriori vengono rimossi e le sedute si avvicinano e ruotano di 10 gradi per consentire una più facile conversazione. La Renault Symbioz 2 anticipa anche l'esperienza di connettività che la Casa francese vuole offrire ai propri clienti, integrando la vettura in un ecosistema completo. Lo smartphone permette di essere riconosciuti dal veicolo e di ottenere così tutti i settaggi preferiti e l'accesso ai propri contenuti multimediali. Inoltre, abitazione e autovettura sono sempre connessi per offrire un flusso d'informazioni ininterrotto: se da casa è possibile inviare informazioni alla vettura e controllare lo stato di carica, in auto si può dialogare con tutta la domotica. La Concept mette in campo le più avanzate soluzione V2X per la connessione alle infrastrutture, settore dove Renault sta investendo secondo i protocolli del progetto Scoop promosso dalla Comunità Europea.

La Fiat ha comunicato l'apertura degli ordini (ottobre ‘17) del model year 2018 della 500X, appena aggiornata con numerosi dettagli dedicati a entrambe le versioni, la Urban e la Cross. A quattro anni dal lancio, l'aggiornamento della piccola Suv del Lingotto porta in dote allestimenti con dotazioni più ricche e tecnologiche, unite a nuovi pacchetti e a maggiori possibilità di personalizzazione. Invariati, invece, i prezzi che, sfruttando il finanziamento Menomille, partono da 15.700 euro a fronte di un listino base di 19.000 euro. Sempre connessa. Tutti gli allestimenti a partire dalla versione Pop Star dispongono di serie dell'impianto di infotainment Uconnect HD Live con schermo da 7" che porta al debutto sulla 500X le compatibilità Android Auto e Apple CarPlay. Il sistema integra il Bluetooth con funzione di streaming audio, il vivavoce, i comandi vocali con lettura dei messaggi e le porte Aux e Usb per connettere dispositivi esterni. L'impianto multimediale può essere controllato tramite il touch screen integrato oppure, così come altre funzioni dell'auto, anche dai comandi al volante. I clienti possono richiedere in aggiunta anche una telecamera di retromarcia, proposta di serie solo sulle versioni Cross e Lounge, e il navigatore satellitare TomTom 3D. Più colori.
