Il telaio é sempre a longheroni con trazione 4x4. In Corea sara disponibile a 9 o 11 comodi posti adatti ai piccoli coreani, per l export é prevista solo a sette e otto posti. La gamma motori in USA arriva con il V6 2.7 Ecoboost da 340 CV e 515 Nm abbinato ad un cambio automatico ad 8 velocità e con la trazione integrale AWD che equipaggia la Edge ST. Mentre sono ancora disponibili il V6 3.5 litri aspirato da 315 CV ed il 4 cilindri 2.0 litri turbo Ecoboost da 250 CV. Entrambi accoppiati all'automatico ad 8 rapporti. In Europa, invece, ci sarà esclusivamente il Diesel ereditato dal modello precedente. Sul campo della sicurezza debuttano una nuova serie di sistemi ADAS: Forward Collision Warning e Dynamic Brake Support; Pre-Collision Assist con Pedestrian Detection; BLIS® con Cross-Traffic Alert; Lane-Keeping Alert; Lane-Keeping Assist; Auto High Beams; Hill-Start Assist.
