Bentley has released details of a limited-edition variant of its Arnage sedan. First created when Bentley was owned by Rolls-Royce, the Arnage embodies what many would consider traditional Bentley values, including the trademark 6 and 3/4 liter V8 engine. Just 150 Arnage Final Series vehicles will be produced before the automaker bids farewell to the line.

The Arnage Final Series includes the Arnage T powertrain, including the aforementioned twin-turbo 6 3/4 liter V8 that produces 500 horsepower and approximately 735 lb-ft. of torque. The powertrain delivers power to the rear wheels via a six-speed ZF automatic transmission.

Outside, the Final Series features unique 20 inch wheels, a retractable “Flying B” mascot, body-colored headlamp bezels, dark tint matrix upper and lower grilles, lower front wing vents, a “Jewel”-style fuel filler cap, dual exhaust pipes and Final Series badging.

Open the door and the lucky 150 buyers will be greeted by Final Series step plates, drilled alloy brake and accelerator pedals, unique chrome trim throughout designed by Mulliner, a rear cocktail cabinet with a stainless steel flask and shot glasses and two picnic tables. Further, the Final Series comes with four special umbrellas and a premium 1,000 watt audio system by Naim.

No two Final Series cars are expected to be alike thanks to 42 unique exterior schemes, 25 interior hides and three wood veneers, not to mention the bespoke color-matching service Bentley offers to make an entirely personalized car.

The Final Series also marks the 50th anniversary of Bentley’s V8 motor. The 2009 variant of the engine is still essentially the same design that was introduced in the 1959 Bentley S2. Though most automakers wouldn’t be proud of this accomplishment in today’s world of rapid engine redesigns, Bentley’s motor stands on its own. Power and torque were described as “adequate” in Bentley literature when the motor was first unveiled. Now twin-turbocharged, the all-aluminum engine is probably a touch more than “adequate.” Bentley lists 0-60 in 5.3 seconds for the 5,699 lb. automobile. Naturally, fuel consumption suffers a bit: Bentley says that the Arnage Final Series averages less than 10 mpg in the city and just over 20 on the highway in European testing.
