Honda: JV con Proton per nuove piattaforme e tecnologie

Recommended Posts

Honda and Proton have signed an agreement this week to explore new opportunities in developing technology and a new product lineup.

Malaysia’s national automaker Proton Holdings has established a partnership with Japan’s third largest car manufacturer Honda. This tie-up could result in jointly developed technologies and future models, as well as the possibility of sharing car platforms and production facilities.

While Honda is already making the CR-V in Malaysia, for Proton this deal could provide them access to technology which might help increase their exports. This announcement from Proton comes after two failed negotiations with Volkswagen and PSA Peugeot Citroen.

As a reminder, Proton's parent DRB-Hicom Bhd owns Lotus.
