  3. Cartella stampa Ufficiale: Three fields of competitiveness Renault will evolve into: - a Tech brand, with an ecosystem approach that aims at creating world-leading, next-generation mobility OEMs and suppliers. This ecosystem called “Software République” will allow Renault, other founding members and future partners to develop joined expertise, build European know-how and defend our sovereignty in key technologies from big data to electronics. It will also allow Renault to equip its vehicles with leading artificial intelligence and cyber-security systems. - a Service brand, offering the best connectivity and high-tech services embedded natively in our vehicles. In 2022, Renault will be introducing My Link, a new infotainment system with Google Built-in. Renault will be the first carmaker to bring Google services to mass-market cars. Becoming more intelligent everyday, our vehicles will gain value over time. They will also live longer. Further, Renault will try to break the consumerist cycle and generate value up until vehicles’ end-of-life, all thanks to its Re-Factory in Flins (France). The plant will recondition more than a 100,000 used cars per year, repurpose Diesel LCV and convert them into biogas and pure EV. Renault also has a clear advantage when it comes to second life and end of life of batteries. The control of these parts of the value chain has the potential to generate new business cases and value. - a Clean Energy brand, becoming a leader of the energy transition. Challenging leaders on the hybrid markets thanks to its revolutionary E-TECH technology, Renault will sustain its leadership on the electric market with new families of products based on our two dedicated electric platforms CMF-EV and CMF-B EV. The brand will also offer market-ready, end-to-end hydrogen solutions for LCVs. The target is to reach the greenest mix in European market. As for the range, Renault will make a double-down on both electrification and mix improvement. A repositioned line-up will help the brand win back its front seat in the C-segment while shoring up its B-segment leadership. 14 models will be launched by 2025 (7 electric and 7 C/D segment vehicles) with the ambition to have upper segments accounting for 45% of sales by the same year. Renault 5 Prototype: The rebirth of a cult car, more modern than ever The soul of a brand is in its roots. Without falling into the past, she has to reconnect with it and draw its inspiration to find the spirit of the glorious times. This is the role of the Renault 5 Prototype, to show that Renault will democratize the electric car in Europe with a modern approach to the popular and essential car. The Renault 5 prototype is a cute, pin-sized, city car taking one of Renault’s timeless success to the future with a modern, 100% electric twist. It kept the fun, anti-crisis and mischievous side, with the pop of yellow highlights. Gilles Vidal's design team were inspired by a world-renowned cult model from Renault’s past, the R5. The Renault 5 prototype takes strong features from the original design. The modern approach is also evident in the chosen finishes and materials, which are inspired by the worlds of electronics, furniture and sports. The design of the Renault 5 Prototype is based on the R5, cult model of our heritage. This prototype simply embodies modernity, a vehicle relevant to its time: urban, electric, attractive. Gilles Vidal, Renault Design Director The R5 is immediately recognizable, but thanks to a modern treatment of lines and flush surfaces with futuristic detailing (lights, front face…), the result is resolutely in the spirit of the current times. The styling elements taken from the original design in a modern way hide very modern functions: the bonnet air intake hides the charging hatch, the rear lights include aero flaps, and the fog lamps in the bumper are daytime running lights. There is even a nod to the original ‘5’ on the side grid, the wheels and the rear logo. The front end and the textile roof drawn from the world of furniture are full of ‘French charm’, a hint of mischief, character that pulls on the heartstrings. The front and rear logos light up, bringing the car ‘to life’. The French flag in the rear-view mirrors to underline the “invented in France” side of the vehicle, the headrest lights and the name displayed on the small transparent screen on the dashboard, invite you to hop in for a ride.
Press Release: A UNIQUE LIGHT SIGNATURE 4EVER Trophy puts a new twist on the Renault 4’s iconic wide horizontal grille featuring the round, built-in lamps, now with Matrix LED lights. The innovative lights give the vehicle a strong identity. While the recognisable pill-shaped rear lights have also been entirely redesigned, they remain readily recognisable and are a clear nod to the iconic 4L. A LIGHTWEIGHT OFF-ROADER EAGER TO EXPLORE An electric vehicle that ventures off the beaten track: that is what the rugged 4EVER Trophy show car conveys at first glance. The electric motor reflects the future production model. The low section on 4EVER Trophy, painted Gun Metal Silver, has been designed for the great outdoors. An open invitation to explore new horizons, this show car exudes a clearly adventurous spirit. It has a certain flair to its look with the silver coat, and magenta highlights on the roof straps, suspension springs and wheel emblems. The dune-buggy vibe gives 4EVER Trophy a competitive look. The hollowed-out bonnet has a huge air exhaust that vastly improves the efficacy of the radiator located in the centre of the shield. The front overhang has been shortened considerably for a greater clearance capacity. With a spare tyre located on the carbon fibre roof, and a shovel and waffle boards on the upper section of the rear door, the car is ready to tackle any situation. The vast body protection panels on the lower section are made with a considerable 20 cm clearance around the wheel arches. The high-seated body highlights the width of the 753 mm wheels mounted on 19 inch rims. The underbelly has been reinforced to provide greater protection for the battery located in the middle of the chassis. Each wheel on 4EVER Trophy has a visible compressor that can be readily adjusted from inside the car to adapt the tyre pressure to suit the terrain. While 4EVER Trophy is clearly an off-road car by nature, it was also designed to be enjoyed on any road, fuss-free. The future electric 4L aims to be as versatile as its predecessor once was – or rather has always been since 1962. A FUTURE B SEGMENT SUV The 4EVER Trophy show car paves the way for the future all-electric B Segment SUV that will be at ease on urban and rural roads alike. Like the Renault 5, it will be made using the new CMF-BEV platform for B segment electric vehicles. The platform will guarantee the best performance in terms of range, acoustics, and on-road behaviour, without compromising on the design. The market positioning of the future Renault 5 and Renault 4 will be much like that of Clio and Captur. The 4EVER Trophy and Renault 5 Prototype on display at the Renault stand during the Paris Motor Show embody Renault’s “nouvelle vague”. Like its predecessor, the future vehicle built off 4EVER Trophy’s design will be made in France. Thanks to their shared traits, all vehicles using the CMF-BEV platform will be built in the ElectriCity hub in northern France. TECHNICAL SPECS RENAULT 4EVER TROPHY Length: 4,160 mm Width: 1,950 mm Height: 1,900 mm Wheelbase: 2,570 mm Front and rear tyres: 255/55R19 Powertrain: full-electric, wound rotor Renault Mi piace
Press Release: A design that opens the way to new perspectives Scénic Vision concept-car is a true embodiment of Renault's "Nouvelle Vague" and the result of a thorough design exercise and bold aesthetic choices. Its design prefigures different time horizons for the Renault range of vehicles. The exterior reveals the shapes and style of a new family model that will be marketed in 2024. Its interior design is a forward-looking study of future Renault interiors. Its hydride electric and hydrogen powertrain, reflects Renault's desire to find solutions for all types of use and is part of a longer-term vision, beyond 2030. This design opens the way to new perspectives, that of a world where cars and people converge towards the same values. “Scénic Vision represents a new chapter in the history of Renault Group and for the brand. This concept prefigures the exterior design of the new Scénic 100% electric model for 2024 and the new Renault design language. The interior design, is a forward-looking study of future Renault interiors. Scénic Vision provides a suite of technologies and innovations at the service of a more sustainable mobility.” . said Gilles Vidal, VP Renault Brand, Design. Renault & Jean-Michel Jarre Jean-Michel Jarre is a French composer, performer and record producer. Coming from the world of electro-acoustic research, he has given electronic music a popular dimension. Jean-Michel Jarre is an artist and also an engineer, he has constantly linked technology and creation. This is very close to how Renault has always seen innovation. JMJ is also highy involved into protecting the environment as a UNESCO ambassador since 1993 (on environment and education topics). The collaboration with Jean-Michel Jarre started in the early days of making Scénic Vision, precisely on the acoustics and signal processing. The artist teamed up with the design team in order to shape the sound signature of the concept-car, following the idea of “caring for the resources” with a “less is more” approach with only 1 loudspeaker on each door and the soundbubble system on every headrest. Scénic Vision sets the beginning of a close collaboration with Jean-Michel Jarre. The artist will be an ambassador of the Renault brand, working with the teams on future solutions to be included into the product lineup. Caring for the resources Eco-design and short loops 70% of the materials used in the vehicle are recycled and over 95% of the vehicle is recyclable, including the battery. The floor of the vehicle was composed by agglomerating plastic scraps from other sources (milk bottles, plastic pipes, etc.). On the whole vehicle, 30% of the plastic is biosourced. The vehicle's fittings are made of recycled carbon from the aeronautical industry. Short loops are being deployed on strategic materials such as platinum, copper, aluminum and steel as well as the battery’s minerals Tires are sourced from a GNSPR member manufacturer, committed to environmental and human rights responsibility. The leather is abandoned and replaced by 100% recycled low carbon polyester. The fuel cell tank is made of carbon fiber from recycled paper waste Better air quality Inside: Placed in the driver's door, an air filter improves the air quality inside the vehicle by filtering the outside air. Outside: The black pigments in the paint are derived from the processing of particles captured in the atmosphere;. a paint without synthetic pigment, which contributes to the improvement of air quality. Caring for the climate The best from electricity and hydrogen H2-Tech technology: a hybrid vehicle, both electric and hydrogen, equipped with a 16kW fuel cell. The H2-Tech technology is based on the "range extender" technology, which makes it possible to carry a battery that is twice as light, for the same range, thus contributing to decarbonization beyond the electrification of the vehicle. Although this solution is a vision for a passenger car, Renault Group through Hyvia (joint venture with Plug Power) already offers H2 solutions on LCVs. In 2030 and beyond, once the network of hydrogen stations is large enough, you will be able to drive up to 800 km – or, for instance, 750 km from Paris to Marseille – without stopping to charge the battery. You will only have to stop for 5 minutes or less to fill the hydrogen tank. Following on from the partnerships already entered into, this vehicle has a carbon footprint that is 75% smaller than that of an electric vehicle such as the Megane E-Tech electric. Its battery is up to 60% less carbon intensive than an equivalent battery, thanks to the use of short loops and low-carbon sourcing of minerals, and the use of low-carbon energy to assemble and produce the battery. Caring for the people Safety Total transparency and visibility A camera system integrated into the front of the vehicle enlarges the driver's field of vision by 24% by retransmitting the immediate environment on a screen positioned on the dashboard. The windshield is thus enlarged to 180° for a total and reassuring visibility, the hood appears transparent. New generation of safety and connected health: Safety Coach A risk assessment interface helps to anticipate last-minute stressful situations. It compensates for the driver's possible lack of attention and gives personalized advice to continuously improve driving habits. This interface also provides personalized health advice to the driver via the analysis of data collected by cameras and connected sensors placed inside the cabin (heart rate, fatigue, etc.). Inclusiveness A vehicle that adapts to its user A facial recognition system allows the door to be opened and the vehicle settings to be adjusted according to the driver's profile. This system also offers the possibility of adapting the driving conditions to a possible handicap. Ultra-personalized and inclusive sound space Each seat is equipped with microphones and loudspeakers to provide its own audio ambience (radio, hi-fi, voice-assisted driving) while maintaining optimal communication on board. The retransmission of the voice of the passengers and the driver, and if necessary the amplification of their voice, facilitates communication between the occupants of the vehicle, in particular if a hearing impaired user is on board. Increased accessibility The absence of a pillar between the doors and a flat floor facilitate access for people with reduced mobility. TECHNICAL SPECS Length: 4,490 mm Width: 1,900 mm Height: 1,590 mm Wheelbase: 2,835 mm Rims: 21 inches Tires: 235/45 R21 Weight: 1,700 kg Energy: hybrid electric-hydrogen Engine: 160 kW electrically excited synchronous motor Fuel cell: 16 kW Battery: 40 kWh Renault
