Does someone know if an Abarth version will come? If so when? The first "Spyshots" are old....
-
We should see new engines in Geneva or around that period, with euro5 specs:
2000 mjet 170cv replacing 1900 150cv
1800 tjet 200cv replacing petrol 2200 185cv
1800 tjet 165cv (maybe?) replacing petrol 1900 160cv
Thanks for the reply!
My dad needs to replace his 156 JTD 2005 for a new lease car in April 2009; so probably the 2.0 JTD comes to late (unfortunately).

Does someone have information about when the 2.0 JTDm will be fitted in the 159?

Do you have a source of those pictures? Considering T-JET? Would Fiat launch a Abarth with 150 hp ? They have said that they would not use the name Abarth any more for cars that were not sporty enough. 150 hp seems not enough when you compare this to the competition (Clio Sport 197 & Corsa OPC). Or will this car get the 1.8 Turbo?

So it is the current 3.2 V6 with Turbo? But 1 or 2? And what about the problems? Considering the fact of the too high torque (680Nm) for a manual gearbox? No manual on the GTA?
-
Maybe this is the new Alfa developed V6? And not the "GM" V6?

I am wondering: why are the bottom screws/bolts of the red engine bay cover not in-line? The Maserati V8 has them in one line.

Alfa 147 in Q2
Another example of the Alfa Romeo world of style and technology is the 147 model exhibited in three versions at the Paris show. The first car, enjoying its world premiere, is distinguished by a front self-locking differential (known as the Q2) that confirms all the strengths of a front wheel drive configuration, i.e. increased driving satisfaction and control while guaranteeing some of the typical benefits of a four wheel drive. The system is available solely with the 150 bhp JTDm engine. This choice takes into consideration the current technological turbodiesel scenario. Since 1997, the debut year of the Alfa 156 JTD (the first vehicle in the world with Common Rail technology), the amount of torque to be transmitted to the wheels has increased greatly, even on compacts. Alfa Romeo has therefore developed the sophisticated Q2 system to guarantee maximum control and traction in all driving conditions. The Alfa 147 Q2 therefore offers satinised ‘whiskers’, grille and mirror farings, rear spoiler chrome exhaust tailpipe, low ride and a special Q2 logo.
Inside, this version offers a sporty look including: gauges with red scale and white lighting, leather upholstery with red top-stitching on the steering wheel and gearlever gaiter and parking brake, dark grey steering wheel panels and central console, special Q2 door sill and aluminium pedal unit. The Alfa 147 Q2 equipment list is complemented by radio controls on the steering wheel, cruise control, a VDC system and 6 airbags. The car on show also adds leather seats in a sports configuration with red top-stitching, Bose® sound system, satellite navigation and xenon headlights.

Does the GT Q2 have part-time AWD or does it have FWD with torsen LSD?

I am wondering, when Alfa is making a Alfa version of the Peugeot 2008 / Mokka, why aren't they making a Alfa (or Fiat) version of the 208/Corsa including the E-version?
That would be such an interesting market. Personally; an electric Alfa 208/Corsa with 400 km WLTP range would be my daily commuter; a Stelvio would be my private/holiday car. (OT: Tonale not my cup of tea; to high on its heals and narrow)
