Going back to Turin’s coach-builders old tradition, also this year, on the occasion of the 74th Geneva Motor Show, we manufactured our prototype, deriving from Lancia Thesis. This choice is not fortuitous, in fact, falling the 85th year of Stola Company foundation, we wanted to honour our customer Lancia, that in 1919 committed us the manufacturing of the Lambda show car. The name of this prototype is “S 85”, where “S” stands for Stola and “85” refers to the years of the Company. With this prototype, we intend to show to the Customers our experience in the engineering and CAE field and in the use of the virtual simulating, reaching: the maximum use of the body structure of the present project; the structural rigidity suitable to the segment of belonging, reducing as much as possible the performing decrease in comparison to the original car, due to the wheel base lengthening; the optimum exploitation of the available spaces for the habitability. The changes we’ve introduced on the EXTERIOR are quite evident: we lengthened the original car of 600 mm, and in order to avoid the profiling defects of the classical limousines, among roof interior covering, glass surfaces and side panels, we revised the surfaces on the 3 axles, so that the prototype doesn’t seem lengthened but perfectly and harmoniously built. Interesting is the painting, that has been performed bicolour: amaranth on very deep amaranth. With this choice we intended to revive a very popular tradition of the Thirties and Forties. A lot of care has been devoted to the manufacturing of the INTERIORS, that make this prototype absolutely sophisticated and exclusive. The rear floor is completely flat and in wood, the interior covering is in Frau leather, the two rear seats are completely adjustable. Moreover, the car is equipped with other accessories: a drink cooler, a special diffused interior lighting and the sophisticated LWD Mobile Car System, engineered and performed by Informatica Delta S.p.a. (www.informaticadelta.it ). This last item represents a portable “travel solution” extremely complete and suitable to any professional need. In fact, besides the GPS system equipment, it allows to use whatever “office application”, guaranteeing the connection to Internet and to the company itself sending and receiving mails or faxes from everywhere. In the end, it allows to watch movies on DVD, to play at video games and to listen to a CD or a file MP3. This custom-built car can be produced, on request, according to the customer’s personal demands, including the armour plating.
