Hethel, UK – 25 October 2022  Lotus has unveiled the prices and specifications for one of the most eagerly anticipated models in its history – the award-winning Eletre Hyper-SUV. The news was delivered during Lotus Eletre: Unleash the Future, a global broadcast watched by tens of thousands of customers and fans around the world.

The Eletre is the all-new and all-electric lifestyle model from Lotus, as it continues its transformation from a UK sports car company to a global performance car business and brand.

It is the first of a new breed of pure electric SUVs. It takes the core principles and Lotus DNA from almost 75 years of sports car design and engineering, evolving them into a desirable all-new lifestyle car for the next generation of Lotus customers.

The company’s famed expertise in the fields of ride and handling, steering and optimised aerodynamics, have been carefully and respectfully evolved. The Eletre takes the soul of the latest Lotus sports car – the Emira – and the revolutionary aero performance of the all-electric Evija hypercar, and reinterprets them as a Hyper-SUV.

With a world premiere in London in March this year, the Eletre is ‘Born British, Raised Globally’, a collaboration between highly experienced and dedicated Lotus teams in the UK, Germany and China. They include the product definition and attributes teams at Hethel, the home of Lotus since 1966; the design teams at Lotus Tech Creative Centre (LTCC) in Coventry; the engineering teams at Lotus Tech Innovation Centre (LTIC) in Raunheim; and the Lotus Tech engineering and manufacturing teams in Wuhan.

Matt Windle, Group Vice-President and Managing Director, Lotus Cars, commented: “Confirmation of the pricing and specs of the Lotus Eletre is a key moment in the transformation of Lotus through our Vision80 strategy. We know from media and customer feedback that they’re hugely excited by the arrival of this car – indeed, the Eletre has already won awards as 2023’s ‘most excited to see’ new model. Customer deliveries start during the first half of next year.”

He added: “The launch of the Eletre is the natural next step for Lotus. Two-seater sports cars are not for everyone, and we want to offer a Lotus for every stage of your life. The Eletre is the start of that.”

Already thousands of customers around the world have placed deposits to secure their Eletre. Three different versions of the car are available – Eletre, Eletre S and Eletre R – with the choice of two powertrains. Eletre and Eletre S feature the 450 kW / 603 hp single-speed version, with a maximum range of 600 km (373 miles). The Eletre R comes with the flagship 675 kW / 905 hp dual-speed system and a maximum range of 490 km (304 miles). Torque figures are 710 and 985 Nm respectively, delivering a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) performance of either 4.5 or 2.95 seconds. The 112 kWh battery for both versions has a charging time (10%-80%) of just 20 minutes using a rapid charger.

As part of the Unleash the Future global news broadcast, key Lotus personnel explained the company is embarking on an ambitious future based on three key pillars – Life, Tech and Speed. They also previewed how the world’s first Hyper-SUV, the Eletre, measures up against the original Lotus EV hypercar, the Evija.

As part of the Tech story, Lotus announced more details of its advanced ‘digital cockpit’ cabin on the Eletre, including the name of the Operating System – Lotus Hyper OS. Lotus is using ‘Unreal Engine’ technology from the gaming industry, allowing the Lotus User Experience / User Interface (UX/UI) team to create next-generation real-time 3D content and experiences. The Eletre boasts state-of-the-art processing power which includes two Qualcomm 8155 System-On-Chips.

Lotus Hyper OS provides a seamless interactive experience that offers best-in-class performance in terms of visual effects and interactive feedback, putting the user – driver or passenger – in complete control.

A next-generation Digital Head Unit from global mobility tech company ECARX will debut on the Eletre. It reconfigures the user’s in-car experience by providing fully customisable displays, hosted on an advanced Driver Information Module (DIM), and ultra-slim floating one-billion-colour OLED touchscreen for more realistic graphics and a more futuristic visual effect.

The platform includes ECARX’s first dual-chip system to enable server-level computing power for rapid processing and smooth rendering. The resulting immersive multi-screen user experience can be continuously improved during the lifetime of the car via future Over-The-Air (OTA) updates.

Lotus has also revealed it is partnering with HERE Technologies to deliver integrated navigation services for the Eletre. The service includes EV Routing, EV Range Assistant and Predictive Routing, and can be updated via OTA updates.

Lotus also announced a new collaboration with Dolby, creator of the renowned immersive audio experience Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos is a new way to enjoy music that takes listening to new heights through unparalleled depth, precision and clarity. Together, Dolby Atmos and the Eletre’s KEF speaker system combine to elevate music listening to new levels. Driver and passengers will feel like they’re sitting in the middle of the recording studio alongside the artist. The Eletre is the world’s first car to combine Dolby Atmos and KEF Audio.

In the UK the Eletre is priced from £89,500 (from €95,990 in Europe). The standard spec includes five drive modes, active air suspension, torque vectoring, matrix LED headlights, active front grille and 22-inch 10-spoke forged wheels.

The premium cabin takes Lotus interiors to an all-new level of desirability. As standard the Eletre comes with wireless smartphone charging, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, four-zone automatic climate control and many other features. The ‘intelligent cockpit’ infotainment system, which includes Apple CarPlay / Android Auto and a 1,380-watt, 15-speaker KEF Premium Audio, is operated via a centrally mounted 15.1-inch full High-Definition OLED centre screen. All versions of the Eletre feature five seats as standard, with a four-seat version available as part of the Executive Seat Pack.

Also standard is the deployable LIDAR technology, a world-first in a production car which supports end-to-end autonomous driving (AD) technology. Integrated OTA software update capability ensures the system will be fully ready when individual market regulations allow for the more advanced levels of AD.

In the UK the Eletre rides on 22-inch wheels as standard, though 20-inch and 23-inch are available. There are five different wheel designs and six colours of brake caliper. At launch there are six exterior colours to choose from – Natron Red, Galloway Green, Stellar Black, Kaimu Grey, Blossom Grey and Solar Yellow. More will follow later.

Six unique interiors are available, all offering premium high-grade materials and detail choices. Sustainability has been at the heart of the development. For example, the Eletre is available with a state-of-the-art alternative to leather that is environmentally friendly, odour-free, and lasts longer than genuine leather. In addition, a new man-made fibre has been used in the carpets and boot liner. It is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable, and there is no waste in the production process.

The Eletre S costs £104,500 (from €120,990 in Europe). The enhanced specification includes numerous additional features such as privacy glass, active rear spoiler, configurable ambient lighting, illuminated side sills, soft door close, auto-dimming side mirrors and an air quality system. It also includes a 2,160-watt, 23-speaker KEF Reference Audio.

The flagship version is the Eletre R and is the world’s fastest dual-motor pure electric SUV. It has a top speed of 165 mph (265 km/h) and can accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 2.95 seconds.

During the Unleash the Future broadcast Lotus revealed how the car has been testing on the Nürburgring, which is just two hours’ drive from LTIC. Maximilian Szwaj, Vice-President of Lotus Technology and Managing Director, LTIC, explained: “The Nürburgring circuit is very challenging, and we are proving with our tests there and our simulations that we will achieve the performance targets we have set for the Eletre.”

He also revealed that Lotus is working on advanced technology which will ultimately allow customers to drive the Nürburgring circuit autonomously. It means they can experience the thrilling driving performance and dynamic capability of a Lotus from the driving seat supported by AD technology.

The experiences from the Nürburgring have been implemented into the Eletre with Track Mode, which is exclusive to the Eletre R and part of its standard specification. Compared with other versions, it provides a lowered ride height, and more performance-oriented settings for the dampers and anti-roll control. It delivers a higher level of dynamic performance at longitudinal and lateral limits for the most ambitious drivers. Track mode also includes a fully open active grille and a launch control with instant access to the car’s full power.

As part of Unleash the Future, Gavan Kershaw, Director, Product Definition and Attributes, Lotus, spent a day on the test track at Dudenhofen, also close to LTIC. Gavan commented: “The Eletre is truly a global car with involvement from the best engineers around the world. The Dudenhofen test track is tight, twisty and undulating – like the perfect English B-road – and the Eletre is so enjoyable to drive, exactly like a Lotus should be. The Eletre is a true Lotus.”

The standard specification of the Eletre R also includes Lotus Dynamic Handling Pack, Carbon Fibre Pack, gloss black wheels, stainless steel sports pedals, black badging and high-performance tyres. The Eletre R is priced £120,000 (from €150,990 in Europe).

All Eletre customers have further opportunities to customise and personalise their car to their requirements using option packs. Those available at launch include the Lotus Dynamic Handling Pack, Ceramic Brake Pack, Executive Seat Pack, Comfort Seat Pack, Carbon Fibre Pack, Extended Carbon Fibre Pack and Interior Carbon Fibre Pack. Many options from the packs are also available individually. Two Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Packs are also available – the Parking Pack and a Highway Assist Pack.

In the UK the Lotus Eletre will come with a five-year / 100,000-mile vehicle warranty, plus five years of pan-European roadside assistance.

Pricing in eight key European markets is detailed in the table below, with launches in other countries in the region to follow. Plans for the arrival of the Eletre in North America, Middle East, Asia Pacific and other regions are well-advanced and roll-out will begin from 2024. Prices and specs for those will be revealed nearer the time.

During the Unleash the Future broadcast, Matt Windle revealed it isn’t just the Eletre which has been to the Nürburgring. The all-electric Evija hypercar has also been lapping the track, albeit via an advanced vehicle simulator. He commented: “Our simulations are showing us that the Evija is very quick. That’s exactly what they should show because the car is ultra-powerful, lightweight for an EV and it’s got incredible downforce. In terms of taking the car itself to the circuit, all I can say at the moment is watch this space.”

    • Assertive exterior complements clean interior design with standard 13.2-inch landscape touchscreen and SYNC 4 cloud-connected 5G infotainment system
    • Advanced driver assistance technologies including enhanced Adaptive Cruise Control will boost driver confidence and comfort

COLOGNE, Germany, Jan. 17, 2024 – Ford is inspiring drivers to embrace the electric future and new Kuga – Europe’s bestselling plug-in hybrid (PHEV) in 2021, 2022 1,2 and on track for 2023 according to the latest available data – will play a key role on the journey. Bold and assertive new Kuga offers surprising performance from hybrid powertrains, the convenience of seamless connectivity, and a full range of latest-generation driver assistance systems that make it the ideal companion for everyday adventures.

The new Kuga range – built in Europe and designed for European drivers – offers up to 69 km 3 of pure electric driving for Kuga PHEV customers who can take advantage of home or public charging. For drivers who may not have convenient charging close at hand, the full hybrid Kuga Hybrid offers the convenience and comfort of an electrified powertrain, with up to 900 km of driving range on a single tank of fuel 4 and up to 64 per cent pure electric driving in the city. 5

Both Kuga Plug-In Hybrid and Kuga Hybrid AWD deliver significantly improved acceleration, with the reduced emissions of an electrified driving experience. Offering up to 2,100 kg 6 of towing ability, pulling power beats all rivals and means new Kuga is able to take everything from a large caravan to a horsebox in its stride.

“The Ford Kuga has been a hit with customers since it was first launched in 2008. The new Kuga is our best ever, moving the game forward with new levels of capability, connectivity and comfort,” said Jon Williams, general manager, Ford Blue, Europe.

    Fresh design and seamless connectivity

New Kuga has evolved both inside and out, with a fresh, confident design. The smart Titanium, sporty ST-Line and rugged Active models have unique design features and distinctive personalities. An eye-catching full-width LED light bar frames the new front grille design, which proudly displays the Ford Blue Oval, underlining its strength and purpose.

Inside, new Kuga features Ford’s latest-generation SYNC 4 7 infotainment offering twice the computing power of the previous system. Integrating seamlessly with smartphones, it has 5G connectivity for fast access to information, cloud-connected navigation to help stay ahead of the jams, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto 8 for cable-free access to key apps and information. Alexa Built-in 9 is also standard, so drivers and passengers can ask questions or make commands even without a smartphone connected.

SYNC 4 also supports drivers in making the most of new Kuga’s towing ability, 6 with the Trailer Connection Checklist helping to support safe and secure connections. Trailer Tow Navigation enables drivers to enter the dimensions of their car and trailer so that SYNC 4 can select a route to help avoid tight turns, low bridges and other obstacles.

Cutting-edge tech from factory to driveway

Advanced driver assistance technology supports an effortless, comfortable drive in even the most challenging conditions. The new generation Adaptive Cruise Control 10,11 can now apply the brakes automatically for curves and junctions as well as other traffic, while the 360-degree camera system 12 offers an aerial view so that parking, preparing to hitch up a trailer or even using an automatic car wash are a breeze.

Practicality is at the heart of new Kuga’s interior, offering comfort and convenience ready for adventures in the city and beyond. Sliding second row seats can boost legroom to over 1 metre for rear occupants or create up to 150 litres 13 of extra boot space. Optional comfort seats approved by a leading spinal health organisation deliver support where it is most needed.

This fresh Kuga line-up boasts the new Active series, perfect for those who want the most rugged Kuga, both in looks and capability, and able to handle surfaces including sand or mud.

Advanced lighting technology helps to improve comfort and confidence for the driver, with full LED headlights including Automatic High Beam Control 10 as standard. Available Dynamic Pixel LED headlights 10 use navigation data and a windscreen-mounted camera to read road signs, altering the light pattern at curves, junctions and roundabouts to better illuminate pedestrians and cyclists.

New Kuga is built in Europe at Ford’s advanced Valencia plant in Spain, where 3D printing of parts delivers highly accurate and sustainable manufacturing. Artificial intelligence works hand-in-hand with engineers to ensure the highest standards of quality and production.

New Kuga is on sale this month.

DEARBORN, Mich., Oct. 25, 2022 – Equipped better than ever before to conquer daily adventures – from heavy traffic to lunch with co-workers or maneuvering into the last parking space on the block – the new Ford Escape® SUV is ready to shine in the city and for quick getaways.

Ford has given the compact SUV a thorough makeover that includes a stylish new ST-Line series, available 13.2-inch display with cloud-connected SYNC 4 Technology and new advanced driver-assistance system technologies. Continuing popular features include a sliding second row seat with more second-row legroom than the Toyota Sequoia,1 and hybrid and plug-in hybrid engine choices.

“The new Escape is the perfect getaway vehicle,” said brand manager Adrienne Zaski. “From large touchscreens that can wirelessly display Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ while your phone stays in your pocket to a sliding second row that offers more legroom, it makes everyday adventures easy to handle – from meetings on the fly, to coffee runs with friends, or even a power nap in the back seat.”

Sporty New ST-Line, New Series Lineup

A new sporty ST-Line series, offered in three models, boosts the look of Escape with athletic touches. The ST-Line offers a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine targeting 180-hp with front-wheel or available all-wheel drive, as well as an available hybrid option with front-wheel drive. ST-Line Select and ST-Line Elite both offer an available 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine targeting 250-hp2 and standard all-wheel drive and an available hybrid option.

The ST-Line models stand apart from the crowd with a series-specific black mesh grille, unique rear skid plate and a large single-wing rear spoiler. Every surface is monochromatically painted down to the moldings for a dynamic, refined appearance. The well-equipped ST-Line Elite model includes an available eye-catching “coast-to-coast” LED light bar that stretches from headlamp to headlamp for a distinctive addition.

The calming interior offers a respite from the outside world. The Ebony environment is highlighted with red stitching on the door panels, seat trim, center arm rest, floor mats and steering wheel. Also, a flat-bottom steering wheel and 18-inch Rock Metallic painted aluminum wheels are standard. The ST-Line Select model offers the optional 19-inch Machine-Faced Ebony Painted aluminum wheels that are standard on the ST-Line Elite model.

“Not every customer wants a rugged and boxy SUV, so we’ve made the new Escape more energetic, confident and sleeker,” said Amko Leenarts, director, Ford Design. “The Escape interior complements the exterior, with a relaxing space that’s stylish yet comfortable with easy access to technology for the road or staying connected with friends and family.”

In addition to the ST-Line models, the Escape lineup also includes Base, Escape Active, Platinum and Plug-in Hybrid models. Escape Base and Active models offer a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with front-wheel or available all-wheel drive. Hybrids Offer Consumers Power of Choice

Escape, which debuted the world’s first hybrid SUV in 2005, brings back two hybrid choices for 2023, a full hybrid and a Plug-In Hybrid** model.

“Ford is among the leading hybrid automakers in the U.S. because we understand that not all of our customers are ready to go all-electric,” said Zaski. “With two hybrid powertrain choices, customers can spend less time at the gas station and keep more money in their pockets.”

Every model in the 2023 Ford Escape SUV lineup, whether powered by one of two available EcoBoost engines or hybrid powertrains, targets an EPA-estimated range of at least 400 miles per tank*. The full hybrid model with front-wheel-drive targets an EPA-estimated range of more than 550 miles.

Escape Plug-In Hybrid model** includes Ford’s advanced fourth-generation hybrid propulsion system, which includes a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle hybrid engine and electronic continuously variable transmission. The front-wheel drive hybrid model is projected to produce a combined system of 210 hp.5

The 2023 Ford Escape SUV Plug-In Hybrid model** targets an EPA-estimated range of 37 miles in electric-only mode.6. Escape Plug-in Hybrid has a Level 1 / Level 2 AC charging port. Using a 110-volt Level 1 charge, the estimated time to fully charge the battery is 10 to 11 hours. Using a 240-volt Level 2 charge, charge time drops to roughly 3.5 hours.

The Escape Plug-In Hybrid model** features four EV modes that allow customers to select the settings most suitable for their individual needs.

    • In Auto EV mode, the vehicle decides whether to run on gas or electric power
    • In EV Now mode, drivers can operate on all-electric driving
    • In EV Later mode, drivers can switch to full gas-powered driving to conserve electric miles for later
    • In EV Charge mode, drivers can continue to charge the battery while driving and generate electric-only miles to use later

New Levels of Connectivity, Driver-Assist Features

The new Escape is also smart and connected with SYNC 4 providing cloud-connected navigation and integrating standard wireless Apple CarPlay software feature and Android Auto smart driving capability for fast, easy connectivity.7

The cloud connectivity combines SYNC 4 with available Enhanced Voice Recognition with the power of internet-based search results so drivers and passengers have access to the latest information with almost every request – from close restaurants to nearby charging stations.8 Available Connected Built-In Navigation delivers accurate traffic information on closures, accidents and more, while a digital owner’s manual lets owners find information about their vehicle quickly and easily.9

In addition, Ford Power-Up over-the-air software updates are transforming the ownership experience by regularly adding new software features and other improvements that keep making Ford vehicles better over time. Customers can pre-schedule software updates at convenient times – perfect for owners with busy schedules.10

The Alexa Built-in hands-free experience with complimentary connectivity for Alexa for up to three years makes it easy to listen to music, navigate, control smart home devices, add items to a shopping list and more.11 The integrated system offers seamless voice commands such as “Alexa, find the closest gas station,” or “Alexa, play my road trip playlist,” or “Alexa, call Mom.” Enhanced Voice Recognition also can tailor Alexa to customers’ natural way of speaking.

Available Ford Co-Pilot360 technology now features Intersection Assist 2.0, which helps clients avoid potential collisions with pedestrians while turning.12 Escape also will debut Blind Spot Assist, which will alert the driver with a light on the sideview mirror, applying a nudge in the steering system to help caution against an unsafe action in a case where the driver has missed warnings from the Blind Spot Information System. This feature will detect other vehicles and motorcyclists in blind spots.12

The new Escape SUV is assembled13 at the Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky, available to order now, and will reach dealerships early in 2023.14

    • Outstanding aerodynamics combined with high energy efficiency delivers a range of over 310 miles (500 kilometres)** in the WLTP cycle
    • Emotive design with signature vRS details and spacious interior

Mladá Boleslav, 25 October 2022 – ŠKODA AUTO is expanding its vRS family to include another all-electric model – the ENYAQ iV vRS. Just like the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV vRS, the Czech carmaker has opted for two motors with a total system output of 299 PS (220 kW)* and all-wheel drive for the top version of the SUV. Thanks to an exceptional drag coefficient of cw 0.265, the ENYAQ iV vRS has a range of over 310 miles (500 kilometres)** in the WLTP cycle.

A new addition to ŠKODA’s range: The Czech car manufacturer’s sporty vRS line-up has been expanded to include a second all-electric model – the new ENYAQ iV vRS. The SUV features all‑wheel drive and two electric motors with a system output of 299 PS (220 kW)* as does the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV vRS. This makes the two vRS versions of the ENYAQ iV family the most powerful vehicles in ŠKODA’s portfolio. The ENYAQ iV family is based on the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) and rolls off the production line at ŠKODA’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav. The ENYAQ iV and ENYAQ COUPÉ iV are the only MEB models to be manufactured in Europe outside Germany. ŠKODA AUTO has announced that in the coming days, the 100,000th car from the ENYAQ iV family will roll off the production line. This figure includes both the ENYAQ iV SUV and the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV series in all their respective variants, such as the sporty vRS and SportLine versions. Alongside all-electric models, the car manufacturer also offers customers a ŠKODA iV ecosystem, which includes wallboxes for convenient at-home charging and the POWERPASS, a charging card that can be used throughout Europe.

The ENYAQ iV vRS has a dynamic appearance, with sports suspension as standard, large 20- or 21-inch wheels and distinctive vRS features, to make it instantly recognisable as a vRS model. With a top speed of 111 mph (180 km/h), it is 12 mph (20 km/h) faster than the other ENYAQ iV models, as is the coupé variant. Locally emission-free, the vehicle sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds and boasts a maximum torque of 460 Nm, which is available from standstill, as is typical for an e-vehicle. Its 82 kWh battery, high energy efficiency and drag coefficient of cw 0.265 give the model a maximum range of over 310 miles (500 kilometres)** in the WLTP cycle. Thanks to a maximum charging power of 135 kW, the ENYAQ iV vRS’s lithium-ion high-voltage battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 36 minutes at fast-charging stations.

ENYAQ RS iV offers excellent driving dynamics and generous space
Besides its sporty look and dynamic handling, the new ŠKODA ENYAQ iV vRS offers a generous amount of space for up to five people. The SUV is 4,653 millimetres long, 1,879 millimetres wide and 1,605 millimetres high, with a wheelbase of 2,768 millimetres. At 585 litres, the boot capacity is 15 litres larger than the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV vRS and can be expanded to up to 1,710 litres by folding down the rear seat backrests.

vRS-specific exterior, full LED Matrix headlights and Crystal Face as standard
The ENYAQ iV vRS sports a particularly dynamic exterior with numerous vRS-specific details: The frame of the ŠKODA grille is in high-gloss black, as are the window frames, exterior mirror covers and rear diffuser, as well as the ŠKODA wordmark and model designation at the rear. The front apron sports high-gloss black accents on the air curtain surrounds, which are E-shaped on the vRS model. The side skirts are painted in the body colour and the red reflector in the rear apron runs across the entire width of the vehicle – a distinguishing feature of all ŠKODA vRS models. The front wings bear exclusive green vRS logos, and the ENYAQ iV vRS comes with the Crystal Face as standard; 131 LEDs illuminate the vertical ribs as well as the horizontal bar of the ŠKODA grille. They combine with the full LED Matrix headlights and full LED rear lights, both of which come as standard on the vRS model, to create an animated welcome effect.

Large wheels, lower body and outstanding aerodynamics
Underlining the ENYAQ iV vRS’s dynamic appearance, the standard sports suspension lowers the body by 15 millimetres at the front axle and 10 millimetres at the rear axle. This ensures excellent aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of cw 0.265. The streamlined plastic aero inserts on the large wheels also have a positive influence on the aerodynamics. As standard, the ENYAQ iV vRS comes with black 20-inch Taurus wheels, while anthracite-coloured 21-inch Vision wheels are available as an option. The solid paint finish in eye-catching Hyper Green is exclusive to the vRS models, and all other colours offered for the series are also available. Another option for the ENYAQ iV vRS is a large panoramic sunroof, which can be opened halfway at the front.

Sporty interior with vRS details and two exclusive Design Selections
The interior, which is predominantly black with generous space for up to five passengers, is characterised by a sporty ambience typical of the vRS series. The ENYAQ iV vRS’s comprehensive standard equipment includes carbon-look decorative trim on the dashboard and door panels as well as aluminium design pedal covers and heated sports seats with integrated headrests, bearing the vRS logo. A 3-zone climate control system, LED ambient lighting that also illuminates the dashboard and door panels, as well as the Phone Box for inductive smartphone charging also come as standard. The 585-litre boot can be accessed easily thanks to the factory-fitted electric tailgate with virtual pedal. Customers also have a choice of two Design Selections exclusive to the ENYAQ iV vRS models. The black seats in the vRS-series-standard Lounge design selection are upholstered in Suedia microfibre and feature lime-coloured piping and contrast stitching. Contrast stitching in the same colour is also featured on the heated multifunction sports leather steering wheel, bearing the vRS badge and the Suedia-trimmed dashboard. The optional Design Selection vRS Suite offers black perforated leather seat upholstery with grey piping and contrast stitching, which is also found on the multifunction sports leather steering wheel. The dashboard sports a leather-look finish with contrasting stitching.

Two digital displays, head-up display with Augmented Reality available as options
The ENYAQ iV family has the largest central display currently available in a ŠKODA production model, with a screen diagonal of 13 inches. The displays are customisable and can be controlled by touch function including touch slider, multi-touch gestures, gesture control or with the help of the online digital voice assistant Laura, who understands 15 languages. Added to this is a 5.3-inch Digital Cockpit, which presents information on speed, driving data, navigation and assistance systems clearly in four different layouts. The data displayed, as well as numerous vehicle functions and assistance systems, can be controlled using the multifunction steering wheel. The optional head-up display with augmented reality projects additional information into the driver’s field of vision. In addition, the CANTON sound system with twelve speakers and digital equaliser is available as an option to create an immersive sound world.

Permanent Internet connectivity and ŠKODA Connect functions for electric vehicles
ŠKODA ensures that the ENYAQ iV vRS’s software is always up to date thanks to a permanent online connection via an integrated eSIM, which also allows the driver to download additional apps or activate new functions in the infotainment system. The latest ME3 vehicle software includes updates for the displays as well as optimised climate control and improved battery management with battery care mode. The Internet connection supports numerous functions, including traffic information, route planning and searching for parking spaces with real-time data, and enables a wider range of voice control functions. Some of the comprehensive ŠKODA Connect mobile online services have been specially developed for all-electric vehicles. For example, the MyŠKODA app can be used to control battery charging remotely, and the air conditioning can be switched on and scheduled before the start of a journey. The navigation system will identify charging stations nearby or along a planned route. In addition, the MyŠKODA app can prompt the driver to switch on the heating or start a charging cycle if the temperature outdoors is too low at the ENYAQ iV vRS’s location for the battery to be used efficiently.

Highest-performance powertrain in ŠKODA’s model range
The ŠKODA ENYAQ iV vRS is based on the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) and, like the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV vRS, boasts the highest-performance powertrain in the current model portfolio. One electric motor sits on the front axle while the second is on the rear axle. The ENYAQ iV vRS benefits from all-wheel drive, with a system output of 299 PS (220 kW)* and a maximum torque of 460 Nm.

Sporty chassis and 82 kWh battery for long range
Delivering the energy for a maximum range of over 310 miles (500 kilometres)** in the WLTP cycle is an 82 kWh high-voltage battery, the largest battery in the range. It can be charged at DC fast charging points with a charging power of up to 135 kW and at AC wallboxes at up to 11 kW. The ‘Plug & Charge’ function is new. This makes it possible to start the charging process at suitable charging points stored in the POWERPASS app simply by connecting the charging cable; the vehicle is identified at the charging point and the charging session is billed automatically.

The centre of gravity in the ŠKODA ENYAQ iV vRS is very low thanks to the battery being mounted in the underbody. This, in combination with the sports suspension and progressive steering as standard, makes for particularly dynamic handling. Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC) is available as an option. It constantly monitors the situation on the road and automatically adjusts the damping. Drive Mode Select offers the predefined profiles Eco, Comfort, Normal and Sport, while a custom slider allows the driver to adjust the settings to their own preferences. The ENYAQ iV vRS also offers the additional driving profile Traction. This is ideal for driving on unpaved roads or slippery surfaces, offering constant all-wheel drive at speeds of up to 12 mph (20 km/h).

Excellent active and passive safety as well as numerous assistance systems
The ENYAQ iV vRS offers a high level of active and passive safety. The base model ENYAQ iV achieved the highest rating of five stars in the 2021 Euro NCAP test, scoring 94% for adult passenger protection and 89% for child passenger protection. In addition, the ENYAQ iV was awarded the safest vehicle in its class in the 2021 test year with the best rating for an electric SUV up until that point. The ENYAQ iV vRS comes with up to nine airbags, with driver and front passenger airbags, front side airbags and two head airbags as standard, which also cover the side windows in the first and second rows of seats. A central airbag between the front seats prevents the front passengers from hitting each other in the event of a collision. There is also an option for two side airbags on the outer rear seats. Proactive Occupant Protection, included as standard, tightens the seat belts and closes the windows in the event of an imminent collision, emergency braking, or risk of skidding or tipping over. All the assistance systems ŠKODA currently offers are available for the ENYAQ iV vRS. Travel Assist provides comprehensive support, for example with longitudinal and lateral vehicle guidance. In addition to Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), it also includes Adaptive Lane Keeping Assist with Roadworks Detection, Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist. Online access to current traffic data enables the assistance systems to perform even more accurately. In addition to Front Assist with predictive pedestrian and cyclist protection, which comes as standard, Blind Spot detect including Rear Traffic Alert is available, as well as Collision Avoidance Assist, Turn Assist and Exit Warning. The optional Parking Assist also offers the Trained Parking function, where the system records the path to a frequently used parking space, for example through a narrow, winding driveway. The vehicle can then repeat this path at any time as required.

The full LED Matrix headlights and the head-up display with augmented reality also improve safety. With 24 individually controllable LEDs in each high beam module, the matrix technology makes it possible to keep the high beam on permanently without dazzling other road users. As soon as the camera on the windscreen detects vehicles, people or objects that reflect light, the beam is automatically adjusted to eliminate any glare. The optional head-up display projects information onto two fields on the windscreen so that the driver can keep their eyes on the road at all times. In the augmented reality projection, for example, direction arrows from the navigation system are displayed as larger symbols and projected virtually onto the road in front of the vehicle.

*Maximum electrical power 220 kW: Maximum power determined in accordance with UN-GTR.21, that can be engaged for a maximum of 30 seconds. The power available in individual driving situations depends on various factors, including the temperature outdoors, the temperature of the high-voltage battery, and its charging status, condition and physical ageing. The maximum power is only available if the temperature of the high-voltage battery is between 23 and 50°C and its charge level exceeds 88%. If these parameters are not met, the maximum power may be reduced or unavailable. The battery temperature can to a certain degree be influenced indirectly via the stationary air conditioning function, and the charge level can be set in the vehicle. The currently available power is shown on the vehicle’s driving performance screen. To optimally maintain the capacity of the high-voltage battery, a charging target of 80% is recommended for everyday use (this can be changed to 100% before long-distance journeys, for example).

“This truck is everything customers know about the Sierra, but is so much more,” said Nichole Kraatz, chief engineer, GM Battery Electric Trucks. “Leveraging GM’s dedicated Ultium pickup platform, it takes the Sierra franchise to new benchmarks of capability, versatility and luxury — all in a zero-tailpipe-emissions package.”

    NEXT-GEN POWER

The 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1’s Ultium battery pack enables its GM-estimated driving range of 400 miles1 on a full charge. It is also a structural element of the vehicle, which contributes to its overall strength, durability and performance. Furthermore, the placement of the battery pack lowers the truck’s center of gravity, while enhancing ride comfort and driving confidence on and off the road.

Front and rear electric drive units channel a GM-estimated 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque to the wheels via an e4WD system in Max Power mode, giving the truck exceptional traction and capability in almost every driving scenario.

The foundation of the all-new Sierra EV’s range, performance and capabilities is the revolutionary Ultium Platform, first seen on the GMC HUMMER EV supertruck. After the launch of the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, GMC will introduce additional trims with a selection of ranges and trailering ratings.

Additionally, the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1’s Power Station Pro allows the truck to be used as a mobile power source in multiple situations. With the available Ultium Power Bar accessory, the 2024 Sierra EV offers 10.2kW of off-board power through up to 10 outlets that can help power tools and other accessories on the trail or at a campsite, as needed. When properly equipped, the Sierra EV Denali’s Power Station Pro can even power another EV.

This off-board power capability means that with the right configuration, such as a bi-directional charger and additional products and services offered through GM Energy’s Ultium Home line, the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 can power a home’s essential necessities, for up to 21 days collectively10.

When it comes to charging performance, the 2024 Sierra EV Denali includes a 19.2kW onboard AC charging module for home and public charging. It also features 800V DC Public Fast Charging capability of up to 350kW, enabling approximately 100 miles of range to be added in only 10 minutes4.

Owners also have access to Ultium Charge 360, GM’s holistic approach to EV charging, designed to help simplify the overall charging experience, including access to more than 110,000 publicly available charging points in the U.S. and Canada.

    PURPOSEFUL TECHNOLOGY

The Sierra EV offers the brand’s latest charging, infotainment and propulsion technologies that work holistically to help enhance and optimize every drive.

It all starts when the driver enters the vehicle. With Hands-Free Start, the vehicle turns on after the driver enters with a key fob. Once in the vehicle, the driver simply has to put their foot on the brake and put the vehicle into gear and they are ready to go. Simple and intuitive11.

The driver is also welcomed by the bold animation of the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1’s multiple high-resolution display screens, the center point of which is a large, 16.8-inch-diagonal freeform touchscreen5. It’s the first portrait-oriented screen for GMC.

The touchscreen offers a user-friendly, freeform, customizable experience where icons can be organized similar to a smartphone, while keeping common buttons easily accessible. The screen can also be “split” to operate up to three apps simultaneously. And with GM’s Ultifi vehicle software platform, new features, apps and experiences can be downloaded over the air for greater personalization12.

Additionally, in the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, the central 16.8-inch-diagonal screen is paired with an 11-inch-diagonal reconfigurable driver information center and a multi-color Head Up Display offering 14 diagonal inches of view. It all adds up to more than 40 diagonal inches of digital displays providing ease of use and confident command for the driver. Further supporting that confidence are up to 14 available camera views13 to enhance visibility around the vehicle.

When it comes time for long trips, the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 includes Super Cruise6, the industry’s first true hands-free driver assistance technology, allowing drivers to travel hands-free on more than 400,000 miles of compatible roads across the U.S. and Canada, even when towing.

Customers have even more control over their driving experience with technologies enabled by the versatility of the Ultium Platform, including:

    • Customizable Drive Modes enable the driver to adjust steering, suspension, propulsion, sound and power settings for the ultimate personalized driving experience. These modes include:
      • Standard
      • Tow/Haul
      • Off-Road – for when the pavement ends
      • My Mode – a fully customizable experience for the driver
      • Max Power – a thrilling amount of EV torque enables 0-to-60 mph acceleration in under 4.5 seconds (GM estimate)
    • 4-Wheel Steer enables all four wheels to work together for a smaller turning circle and improved maneuverability
    • CrabWalk, a GMC-exclusive diagonal-drive feature that, at low speeds, turns the rear wheels in unison and at the same angle as the front wheels, allowing diagonal movement of the vehicle7
    • Variable Regen on Demand Braking14 converts the kinetic energy of the vehicle’s forward momentum into electricity that’s stored in the battery pack to help improve driving range
    • One-Pedal Driving15, which can slow the vehicle to a full stop, using only the accelerator

    ‘GRILLE-TO-GATE’ VERSATILITY

Functional innovations enabled by the Ultium Platform provide unprecedented flexibility and versatility for hauling and cargo stowage never before available in a Sierra.

“Without the need to work around a conventional propulsion system, there was an exciting opportunity to reimagine the Sierra EV with a refined yet bold, next-generation modern style and functionality,” said Sharon Gauci, executive director, Buick and GMC Design. “The Ultium Platform allowed us to design what a truck can offer differently when it comes to appearance, spaciousness and capability. It was an important goal for Sierra EV to be visually distinctive yet maintain the essence of GMC and this can be seen in many elements inside and out. For example, the powerful front shield and strong, continuous body side with machined detailing.”

The 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 has a bold, forward-looking, and ultra-premium aesthetic that announces a new era for the brand’s design language, including a new interpretation of the GMC grille, which serves as an integral part of the sophisticated approach lighting animations, including perimeter grille lighting. Additionally, the Ultium Platform is integrated into the truck’s body structure, which enables more expressive overall design and a confident stance.

The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 will be offered exclusively in a Crew Cab model with an integrated 5-foot, 11-inch cargo bed. Its storage capacity is maximized with the innovative MultiPro Midgate™, which provides 9 feet of storage between the cab and the tailgate, when the Midgate is open.

A 60/40-split second-row seat offers four configurations that allow users to haul gear or equipment while still accommodating a passenger, and an available tonneau cover allows longer items such as a kayak or windsurfing board to be stowed under a lockable, weatherproof cover.

GMC’s popular MultiPro Tailgate is also standard on the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1. When this innovative tailgate is down, the maximum load floor length extends to nearly 11 feet with the MidGate down and the MultiPro Tailgate’s load-stop open.

At the front of the vehicle, the spacious eTrunk offers lockable weatherproof cargo space with two drains where the engine would be in a traditional truck, along with a 120-volt power outlet. The flat floor enables more storage space in the cab, including a modular center console.

GMC trucks are made to be used, and the Sierra EV is no exception. When it comes to the all-important task of towing, the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 delivers with up to 9,500 pounds (4,309 kg) of trailering capacity8 and up to 1,300 pounds of payload16. A trailering package comes standard8 on the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1.

    MODERN LUXURIOUS APPOINTMENTS

Distinguished by distinctive interiors, next-level materials, exclusive features and technologies, Denali has always represented the pinnacle of luxury done the GMC way. In the new 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, that signature experience delivers the height of premium in an all-electric truck.

One of those expressions is the all-new, panoramic fixed glass roof that stretches above both rows of the cabin, creating an open-air ambience and a greater sense of spaciousness. The roof is infrared reflective and has a UV coating to help keep the cabin comfortable.

The interior accentuates openness, with attention to detail that shepherds in a modern and clean aesthetic. While distinctive quilting and the embroidered Denali logo on the front seat backs will be familiar to customers, the Sierra EV Denali introduces a new rich quilting pattern invocative of the vehicle’s bold front end. This attention to detail and premium materials is carried throughout the interior from the precise finishing on the doors to sweeping lines of authentic open-pore wood on the instrument panel. Also new is an inductive wireless charger9 finished in the same open-pore wood, creating the modern feel of uninterrupted lines and surfaces.

The wood décor is complemented with aluminum accents and even etched stainless steel on the speaker grilles of the Bose audio system. Additionally, the electric vehicle sound enhancement technology, developed with Bose, elevates the driver’s sensory experience.
