It's a bit mean to compare the configurator rendering with press pictures. 😅 Let the Junior arrive on the market for a few months and there will be much higher promos. Like always.

The door panels are THE weak spot of the Junior. I hope the Alfa people hear the critics and plan a fast upgrade for that. An additional color choice for the fabric parts wouldn't hurt either. Personally I'd also prefer the glossy interior plastics in matte or aluminium style.

I prefer the yellow or blue interior from Geneva. When will the R5 go on sale finally? It's been teased for years now.

No glimpse of retro design left. But at least it looks better than the Cooper E. That press release is full of bullshit bingo. Long gone are the times of the "Is It Love?" campaign.
This is the direct competitor to the Alfa Junior Elettrica and it's technially worse on paper. Only element that's better are the padded door panels front and rear. And most likely more personalisation options.

Anyway, I don't think this story will hurt the model. But they have to adapt all the marketing which is based on the city of Milano. On the car itself, I thought they might change the scripts of the upper versions to Speciale and Veloce anyway.
Personally I would have called it Mito, with minor T. They could build a longer model history out of it. I like the

The standard LEDs (without matrix) seem to have only the upper 3 DRLs.
Judging from the configurator, I like only the 18" 5 hole and the 20" 4 hole wheels. Turbina and the flower style 18" look awkward. Maybe the 18" 3 hole is ok in real life.

That Scudetto insert really looks like an aftermarket part. I hope there are other versions available, maybe even user-changeable? I'd opt for horizontal aluminium bars or simple black mash. And I'm glad the lower air inlets are not body coloured like on 600.
But apart from that I like the rear of the white one. Looks kinda cool. The front looks better with lights out. Would be good of only the upper three lights are the DRL and the lower and side lights are specials for indicator or something else. Now please a nice interior without 600/Avenger door panels. Even Opel Frontera seems to have nice ones.
It's pretty clear that Alfa longs for a young audience with the Milano. It's not made for the typical male 50+ Alfisti. After classical elegant designs this goes more into boy racer direction. Like the Mito GTA concept. So naturally it shocks.
I miss a big hurray for one thing: It doesn't appear like a SUV at all, more like a rallye car!

I'll judge later when I see it from different angles or in motion. But for sure it's a hefty change of design direction after a long evolutionary phase. They didn't go the "safe" way with this, which would have been a scaled down Tonale.
