  1. So far only PHEV reviews, right? Wonder if they fine-tuned the MHEV as well. Didn't see reviews in other languages yet.
  2. Giorgio BEV is possible, but laborious, expensive and simply not competitive. Just compare Grecale to new iX3, Macan or GLC. There is a reason Maserati killed the Giorgio projects for new Levante and Quattroporte. If you want, STLA Large is the proper BEV evolution of Giorgio. And Alfa/Maserati don't have the volumes to justify splitting their models on two different platforms for ICE/BEV versions.
  3. I wouldn't bet too much on PHEV. Recent studies show that they deliver only 19% emission reduction in real life – in contrast to theoretic 75%. Outside of WLTP the combustion engine is running much more than claimed, even if you always charge. So there are EU plans to base taxes more and more on real consumption over the next years. Article about it: n-tv.deSo dreckig sind Plug-in-Hybridfahrzeuge wirklichPlug-in-Hybride gelten als solide Kompromisslösung: Hersteller bewerben sie als saubere Alternative zum reinen Diesel- oder Benzinmotor und als Antwort auf begrenzte Batteriereichweiten. Eine Studie wImparato mentioned upcoming FHEV and REEV possibilies several times as Europe COO …
  4. How safe is the plant in Serbia with its ongoing lack of manpower? As the EU and single members are planning BEV support and the E-Car class for "Made in Europe" products only, which Morocco cars wouldn't get – how likely is the shift of some production into EU countries?
  5. As Tonale 160/175 and Junior 135/145 have more or less the same performance (because Tonale is 300 kg heavier, Junior 1.2 surprisingly faster than official numbers in different tests) — Tonale 130/145 would be Alfa's entry powertrain below Junior. Production wise it's not cheaper but adds expense. They should rather offer something between 175 MHEV and 270 PHEV. PHEV adds so much weight and complexity.
  6. Like the Stelvio 2026 leak? I prefer the plate at the bottom. This way they can also switch to non-centered plates for export markets like with the Junior:
  7. Can this really be the case? For Junior 136 + 29 makes 145. How can 160 + 20 make 175 then? With the same logic it should be more like 170 combustion plus 5 electric now. And is the official power reduction of the Plu-In from 280 to 270 maybe a mathematical change as well or real because of the latest emission standard like 70 to 65 for Panda/500? I like the updates, from photos/videos the Tonale looks better planted to the ground now, front appears shorter with the wider air inlet. Has anything changed at the rear, apart from the black/silver logo? I love the Giallo Ocra! 😎
  8. This recent article explains it a bit: https://de.motor1.com/reviews/773417/alfa-romeo-giulia-q4-2025-test/ If they can build the generations paralelly I wonder why they don't start with the new Giulia/Stelvio Elettrica and bring the Ibrida when ready. The old generation will sell close to zero as petrol only anyway. Makes only sense if the whole base has to be modified or the electric version isn't just good enough yet.
  9. Twingo will be built by Ampere in Slovenia. If the E-Car class by EU gets reality I can imagine A segment Citroën and even Peugeot/Opel in Pomigliano. Recently some brand managers indicated the option to go into A segment again.
11. I think the interiour is nice and valuable but also rather "vanilla", not very alfa-esque. The Junior feels much more driver orientated.
  12. As it's a Geely cooperation — does it have a Chinese sister car with known data?
  13. Interviews with new European head of design Gilles Vidal about the Italian brands: https://it.motor1.com/news/775196/gilles-vidal-designer-stellantis-intervista-2025/ https://www.alvolante.it/news/design-stellantis-cambio-di-passo-secondo-gilles-vidal-408231
  14. It's not like other car makers have golden times. This is a recent accessment for the German car industry: https://www.n-tv.de/wirtschaft/Die-Autoindustrie-rettet-sich-aber-nicht-mehr-in-Deutschland-article26083351.html
  15. I'm no fan of those hollow light clusters with dirt corners everywhere. As we tend to interpret headlights as eyes they remember me of a hypnotised smurf. And why those vertical bumpers? The original was cleaner.
  16. And still there's the illogical decision to build the smallest (500), cheapest (Panda) models in Italy — and that in different plants while on the same platform family.
  17. It's still about this shared Alfa-Maserati project, right? https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/maserati-plots-new-manual-super-gt-flagship-twinned-alfa
  18. Oh, the 500 production didn't last long. I wondered about the North African market for such a little, rather impractical city car. Was it a real full production or sort of kit after as well? Is Serbia ready to feed the Algerian CDK production or will components come from Morocco?
  19. Yeah, that's the article. But he doesn't indicate a specific source for anything. Apart from something like "Stellantis has 14 brands. Analysts think that's too much." Anyway, I can imagine some investor having interest in buying a luxury brand with "craft" production, but nothing with mass production, big factories and many workers. If Stellantis has "excess" brands, that would be Lancia and DS of course. Too bad the rumour speculating analysts don't know them. 😉
  20. Let's face it: This whole discussion doesn't make any sense. As if any Arab investor group had know-how for car production. They have money, but they don't want to burn it. If anything it's about exotic Maserati production only. What is this rumour based on? Is the rumour spreader/speculator trustworthy in stories like this? It's only a couple of days since the last "Alfa Romeo is not for sale" dementi by Stellantis to AMuS. It's way too easy to fill headlines with brain farts nowadays.
  21. What's the reason for Tychy and how long? I guess Pomigliano will produce Tonale MY26 after the break?
  22. That may be correct for base management. But the global cost for brand distribution, showrooms, advertising etc. gets multi-plicated for the brands. It looks like not enough importers and dealers outside the initial markets see return of investment in the Lancia relaunch. That's Citroën's identity since the beginning. 2CV on the one end, DS on the other. Which doesn't have to mean it still works today.
