Because Lexus(luxury image like lancia) sales in Europe are low.....Toyota needs to build a sporty image and only with a mythical firm like lancia will achieve that.....I don't want to irritate you...i am just asking-have you heard those rumors or as Taurus says they are fake news from journalistas we want to impress?

  8. 159 1.9 JTD loses from 320D in Autocars new article 320 wins, but not hands down, they say the Beemer is better on the road Autocar, always bias towards RWD & German cars. The Beemer is nearly £4k dearer and so if you put all the toys in you'd probably afford a 2.4 JTD! They say that they tested pre-prod. version..Some journalist complain that in some versions the steering wheel is light....will they fix it in the production version? They said the Alfa is a viable, much better looking alternative if you're bored of BMW. Many english mags use this silly statement...if you are bored with germans buy the 159...Guys lets admit the reality...They will never say 159 is a better car unless Fiat ''pay'' them like Germans promoters do...

  12. We cant refuse that 159 is heavy but i mentioned the logical reasons..... So if you beleive that Germans cars specs are in ordine di marcia how can you explain me those differences? In the other hand italians differences are not so big(they give ECE measurements)........... Not only from ypsilon but also Musa looks girlish and Thesis is too luxury....the sporty gens have died and the fans are very dissapointed for nowadays situation......also the new delta looks like a sporty suv.......whose decision was this new image of lancia?.....economical reasons?........will we ever see a new integralle...This car is a Myth in Britain.....why italians kill their own history?...without lancia mitchu and subaru are playing alone.....
  18. 0-96km/....in greece 0-100km/h.....the same thing... C&D....and then they woke up......they cant make better 0-100 even than 330's official din measurement+special conditions(surface,no wind...etc).
  19. Now i am totally confused.... It says Din-1740 So as taurus said ECE=75+1740=1815........ But if 1740kg is Ece as taurus says so Din is 1675kg.... Bmw 330 Din=1580....... So if italians measure 159 in Ece we can say that 159 despite being so heavy it has the same performances....really amazing of 159's engine power. 330(1580kg din) 0-100km From 6.9 to 7.1sec as it has been measured in Ece. 159(1740kg din or ece?) 0-100 in 7sec....independent-6.9sec 330 0-1000km From 26,8 to 27,5 159 27,5 And even if we say that ece of 159 is 1675kg,it is still heavier than 330's 1580kg.....159's engines are really strong! Reasons for why 159 is heavy... 1)159 destinated to replace the new 166 and thats because the best torsional rigidity of the bodyshell in its segment at over 180,000 daNm/rad. 2)To be fair it is the succesor of 166 alfa 159 / 1828mm / 1578mm BMW 3 / 1817mm / 1500mm BMW 5 / 1846mm / 1558mm BMW 6 / 1855mm / 1558mm 3)Q4=+80kg 4)BMW 5 got only 4 stars and 3 series has not been rated. So, if this Alfa gets 5 star EuroNCAP , you will know why is heavier and where the extra metal went to. 5)You will also be suprised how much weight the 5 mm glass weight compared to the standard 3 mm used in other cars in the segment.

  24. According to the best Dutch car magazine, the 159 is a very good car and to give you some quotes: It is without a doubt the best mass produced Alfa Romeo ever made. The 159 is in a class of its own when it comes to handling None of the competitors give the meaning to the term Sports saloon so briljantly as Alfa does. When it comes to handling: The nicest handling car on the Nordschleife (old Nurburgring in Germany) is the 185 bhp 1.9 JTS with not too much weight in the nose and therefore perfectly balanced. The JTD can be oversteered in corners (on the track) and the nose dives a bit much due to the heavy diesel engines. The 3.2 has a heavy nose as well, but the 4 wheel drive makes the car handle very nicely. And some engine related stuff: Absolutely lovely diesel engines (what else is new) Lovely GM based 4 cylinder engines (smooth and powerful) Lovely GM based 6 cylinder engine (smooth and powerful) They also said that the new v6 has lost his mythical sound.....but the english magazines say that the traditional sound has not been lost....Did anyone hear the new v6?
