Which are the reasons Alfa stopped producing V6 TB in Gtv? 1)Euro 2 2)The front axle of Gtv could not manage to put down the big torque of that engine...anything else? I have heard that an engine in order to catch Euro 4 should have from a capacity of cylinder and above. If the cylinders he cannot pass Euro4.This explains the suppression of V6 TB and the replacement with 3lt engines.
  4. http://fifthgear.five.tv/jsp/5gmain.jsp?lnk=201&make=Alfa+Romeo&mk=&model=1059&x=19&y=2 -The 156 changed the fortunes of Alfa Romeo in the UK but the 159 could prove an even bigger success story. Stylish, refined and chic, this gorgeous saloon makes the BMW and Audi alternatives look plain dull.
  5. Yes but 108 is the same in Vectra if i am not wrong.....nevermind i mean someone with 156/147...etc cannot choose a wheel from the new range....thats all.
  6. The use of LSD is sth remarkable for that period? I dont like this concept.
  7. Whats the use of the front plastic cover?
  8. The new range of wheels of 159 cannot be fitted to 156/147.....why italians did sth like that?
  9. Top Gear Test Drive http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/1074/motorshow02318pd.jpg -Well, this has got to be rear of the year. Tapered, slinky, strong, and unlike anything else on the road.Saunter up close and enjoy the perfectly integrated detailing. From 10 paces, admire the strong surfaces. And when it's just 'Tangoed' you on the motorway, check out the wide track, the tough stance, the serious way it suckers down onto the road. http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/3995/motorshow02414og.jpg -Well, the Brera is proof positive that George, like some blues man in his 70s, has definitely got his mojo back. -What's under the hood is just as aesthetically pleasing. You get the choice of Alfa's three choicest-sounding engines. At the top of the tree is a 260bhp V6 doing its stuff via four-wheel drive. It's unrelated to Alfa's old V6, but manages to sound remarkably similar - deep and thrumming at low revs, sharp and keen higher up. An engine that loves to be pasted. http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/6493/motorshow02617gs.jpg -The way the Brera looks and the way it sounds:you could easily fall in love with this car before you so much as get to the first junction. Then the snaking and empty mountain road we've just found is another reason to let your heart rule your head. -The engine sounds terrific, encouraging you to swing the needle to 7,000 in second gear. -The backbeat of the V6 is a wonderful thing, and once you stretch this car's legs you find the performance is pretty authoritative.A 150mph car is generally enough for me. But I'm driving it around the Balocco track itself, and on a track you always want for more go. Especially when the car deals with what it has as easily as this one does. http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/8356/motorshow02713uk.jpg -I've never driven a car that less needed its ESP system. It's so benign, full of messages as the torque works its way around the car when you squeeze the throttle at the exit of a corner. The Brera simply squats, neutralises and claws its way toward the straight. If the straight in question is a motorway, you'll have a more relaxing time in the V6- the 2.2 four-cylinder is spinning pretty fast even in sixth. -On the contrary, tell yourself you're being generous. You're illuminating the lives of others by showing them something of extraordinary beauty. http://www.topgear.com/drives/A0/00/roadtests/01/01.html

  12. At CRF, in order to achieve these gains, a wide range of well-proven and advanced technologies are combined with considerable know-how and experience, with significant advances being made recently in the following areas of technology: * application and industrialisation of the electronic valve control system UNIAIR on a L4 engine; * development of an industrialised actuator architecture and advanced control and diagnosis functions for the UNIAIR system; * development of the Belt-Alternator-Starter technology for small and medium engines to allow Stop & Start functionality. At CRF, in terms of Diesel Engine Technology, significant progress has been made regarding: * evolution of Advanced Common Rail (Multijet) injection technology control strategies to reduce fuel delivery dispersion at new and during its lifetime in order to improve the emission engineering margin; * development of advanced model-based concepts focused on Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration management; * development and integration of the CRF's electronic valve control system (UNIAIR) with the advanced Common Rail fuel injection system to improve combustion efficiency and control in order to reduce PM and NOx emissions; * advanced Common Rail hydraulic component development. http://www.crf.it/uk/B/B2_1.html http://www.crf.it/uk/B/B2_2.html

  19. In the commercial it says that 159 has steel of double coating and this puzzled somehow... The reason is that, if it has "double coating" it means "double-skinned", then will exist problem of antirust protection in the repair of the sheet metal after a car crash. Often after a car crash repair some elements that will cause rust will enter in the two leaves of steel....do you know if there is further protection or do you have any information in that matter?
