Basta chiedere a Vettel.

https://www.motor1.com/news/696046/cars-that-depreciate-most/

CitaKnight said that there were no plans to give the Leapmotor's new Four-Leaf Clover Leap 3.0 electric and electronic architecture to other Stellantis brands.

CitaStellantis will have another brand for low-cost EVs, top executive says
Europe will be the first market to get China-built Leapmotor EVs, sold by a new Dutch-based joint venture.
October 31, 2023 06:47 AM UPDATED AN HOUR AGO
LUCA CIFERRI
TURIN – Stellantis will broaden its offering of low-priced battery-electric vehicles with models from Leapmotor starting late next year in Europe.
After Stellantis' deal to buy a stake in the Chinese electric vehicle maker, Stellantis now has another brand aimed at consumers "who are cost conscious but want the best technology in their products," CFO Natalie Knight said.
Stellantis and Leapmotor are establishing a joint venture incorporated in the Netherlands for the export and sale of Leapmotor's models outside China.
Knight said Europe will be the first market for Leapmotor's EVs. The JV will also distribute Leapmotor products to other global markets, Knight said on Tuesday on the automaker’s third-quarter results call.
Stellantis will invest about 1.5 billion euros ($1.6 billion) to acquire a 20 percent equity stake in Leapmotor's parent company. The two companies will set up a Dutch-based joint venture called Leapmotor International. Stellantis will control it with a 51 percent stake.
The joint venture targets 500,000 sales outside of China by 2030, according to Stellantis's third-quarter results presentation, which also said that Leapmotor aims to sell 1 million units annually in China long term.
EV sales growth
Stellantis on Tuesday said its global BEV sales grew 37 percent in the third quarter, mainly driven by the Jeep Avenger battery-electric small crossover and higher light commercial vehicle sales led by the Citroen e-Berlingo.
"We are on track to exceed 300,000 BEV vehicles globally this year, Knight said, adding that the automaker is one of the top performers in Europe.
According to figures from Dataforce, Volkswagen Group is Europe's top EV seller and also leads overall vehicle sales. In BEV sales, Tesla is No. 2 ahead of Stellantis at No. 3.
Knight is confident the new Citroen e-C3, starting at 23,300 euros in France and Germany, will reinforce Stellantis's position in small electric car sales.
The cooperation with Leapmotor permits Stellantis to broaden its benchmarking on BEV production, she said.
"Working with Leapmotor, we will be able to have even better real time benchmarks, so that we are always aware of what it takes to win against the best competitors in the market," Knight said.
Stellantis is already competitive on BEV costs, Knight said, adding that the e-C3 will be profitable from the start.
She said Stellantis is continuously looking for ways to reduce EV's high costs. CEO Carlos Tavares has said producing a BEV costs about 40 percent more than corresponding internal combustion models.
Knight said Stellantis continuously considers how it can innovate quickly, how it can bring more verticalization to its processes and how to better use low-cost countries.
"Those are things that you have seen very successfully as part of our DNA,” she said, adding that benchmarking with Leapmotor “will add another dimension -- the agile environment of the Chinese ecosystem."

On 26/10/2023 at 20:18, Marco1975 scrive:Proprio un buffone Tavares

Audi puts planned Formula One entry under review, report says
Audi announced last year that it would enter Formula One with one of the sport's existing teams.
Reuters
BERLIN -- Audi has placed its plans to enter Formula One under review, German news outlet Spiegel reported.
Citing sources at parent company Volkswagen Group, Spiegel said the plans were being "analyzed in detail" in the wake of a management change and cost-cutting measures.
Audi announced last year that it would enter Formula One from 2026 and that it had taken a minority stake in the Sauber Group, whose Swiss-based team is competing this season as Alfa Romeo with Ferrari engines.
Audi is making its own Formula One power unit at a facility in Neuburg an der Donau, near the automaker's headquarters at Ingolstadt.
The driving force behind the deal was then-Audi boss Markus Duesmann. At the beginning of September, Duesmann was replaced by Gernot Doellner.
An Audi spokeswoman said the Formula One entry had been agreed by the company's management and supervisory boards as well as its parent company, and that the timetable remained unchanged.
There was no immediate comment from Sauber but speculation about Audi's commitment to Formula One has been swirling in the paddock for weeks.

CitaStellantis Says U-Turn on China Will Help It Beat EV Rivals
Albertina Torsoli
Thu, October 26, 2023 at 9:25 PM GMT+2
(Bloomberg) -- Stellantis NV says its $1.1 billion purchase of a stake in a Chinese electric vehicle maker will help it offer more affordable EVs and gain an edge on rivals bracing for an onslaught of cheaper exports from the country.
“The Chinese offensive is visible everywhere,” Chief Executive Officer Carlos Tavares told reporters on a call Thursday. Through the deal with Zhejiang Leapmotor Technologies Ltd., “we can be benefiting from this Chinese offensive rather than being a victim.”
Stellantis will end up with about 21% of Leapmotor and two board seats after the deal. Crucially for Tavares, it will also have a controlling stake in a joint venture that will allow Stellantis — the maker of Jeep SUVs and Peugeot and Fiat automobiles — to build and sell some Leapmotor cars outside China.
The European Union last month launched an investigation into Chinese subsidies for EVs to ward off a flood of low-cost imports. Stellantis earlier this month unveiled its e-C3, the cheapest Europe-made EV, with a starting price of €23,300 ($24,560), a key model at a time when some countries, notably France, are changing their incentive systems to subsidize locally made cars.
Leapmotor’s technology and its better insights into China’s EV supply chain will enable Stellantis to produce cheaper EVs, without relying on the outcome of the EU’s probe, Tavares said.
“A probe is like giving you a shot to go to sleep,” the CEO said. It “can represent a bad excuse not to do the right things at the right speed to compete with my Chinese competitors. I have to race.”
The tie-up marks the second deal in three months between an established auto giant and a little-known Chinese EV company, after Volkswagen AG agreed to take a $700 million stake in Xpeng Inc. The spurt of deal-making shows how important China has become in the global transition to electric vehicles.
Stellantis has struggled to gain traction in China, compared with the likes of VW and BMW. The deal with Leapmotor comes just days after Stellantis decided to end manufacturing in China, a country that in the past Tavares had described as risky in geopolitical terms.
The about-face shows he’s willing to be pragmatic to better compete with local champions such as BYD Co., which offers a broad range of battery-powered cars suited to local tastes.
“Ten years down the road, you would not like to think that we are missing a fair share of the biggest market in the world,” Tavares told analysts on a call. “There is a point in time where we need to find the right formula to have a productive and added-value exposure” to China.
Thanks to the joint venture, Stellantis will be “in the driving seat for the exports and we are in the co-driving seat for the Chinese market,” the 65-year-old CEO said.
Bloomberg News first reported in August that Stellantis had been exploring an investment in a Chinese EV company such as Leapmotor. Apart from the purchase of a stake directly from its new partner, Stellantis bought another 90 million Leapmotor shares from selling shareholders for about $460 million.
Chief Financial Officer Natalie Knight told analysts the China investment won’t diminish opportunities to return capital to Stellantis investors.
Trojan Horse?
Leapmotor vehicles will arrive in Europe in two years, at the latest, according to Tavares. Its EVs may end up being assembled in Stellantis plants around the world, including the US, if tariffs imposed on them will otherwise be too steep.
Tavares brushed off the notion that the Leapmotor deal could turn Stellantis into a conduit for Chinese EV manufacturers trying to take over the European market. The key to this deal, unlike the Volkswagen investment in Xpeng, is that Stellantis will remain in charge, he said.
“We are not a Trojan horse, because we are controlling their export business,” Tavares said. “We are supporting that profitable sales growth for our own benefit and that makes the whole difference.”
