  1. I would argue and say that this model should be offered in Europe. Model like this is much more important than for example Cherokee.
  2. New plan for the whole Stellantis is coming in late 2021 or early 2022. How do I know it? I just saw financial results for 2020. You can find it there.
  3. 2008 better than 500X? BS! 500X is a designed like a compact car, not subcompact. And it's much older than 2008. Thus it has more weight. But it offer superb torsional rigidity and passive safety in comparison to 2008. No doubt about it. FCA Mini platform is comparable to PSA CMP. Small Wide is akin to EMP2. Speaking about market success. Just compare how strong is French market against Italian, not only in terms of total sales but in terms of market segmentation. What kills FCA in Europe is really Italian market where they havr a combination of impoverishment of customers and hate towards Fiat.
  4. It depends on a trim level you choose. Let's say that Jeep is sort of jack of all trades. It's cross shopped against Ford but also against BMW or Audi.
  5. Similar car to Das Shit 7 Crossback is Alfa Tonale, certainly not a Maserati.

Seven torque transmitting devices are each selectively engageable to interconnect one of the first, second, and third elements of one of the planetary gear sets directly with (i) one of the first, second, and third elements of another one of the planetary gear sets, (ii) a housing, or (iii) an input member. The seven torque transmitting devices are selectively engageable to establish nine forward speed ratios and at least one reverse speed ratio. Upon removal of a fourth torque transmitting device, the transmission is arranged in the 8-speed configuration and the remaining six torque transmitting devices are selectively engageable to establish eight forward speed ratios and at least one reverse speed ratio. 7. ZF on Tonale? ZF 9HP? I don't know. As I said FCA is working on something new for FWD cars. I don't know if it will be ready for Tonale. 2.0 turbo on Tonale? Knowing what is its "sister car" I would think that it's quite possible.
  8. It shouldn't be a 1.3 T4. It could be a 1.5 T4 but I would not exclude 1.0 T3.
  9. For sure there will be Getrag Magna 7 speed wet DCT with built in electric motor. It should be used with the new 1.5 turbo engine. I can say that FCA is working on a brand new automatic transmission for FWD cars. I don't know when and where will they use it.
  10. Different GME and different ZF... It wouldn't work in US. Alfa is driver's cars and PHEV is all contrary to it. It would bring too much weight. Actually I'm not sure if 2.0 eBooster MHEV would work in US. Maybe for D segment but surely not fo an E-segment which is very important for future of Alfa Romeo brand in US. ZF 4th gen can be both P1 and P2 MHEV. Actually there is no HEV version anymore. Only MHEV and PHEV.
  11. First application of P2 MHEV technology will not be on Alfa Tonale. It will be on another FCA brand. AFAIK P2 MHEV is strictly connected with the new 1.5 turbo engine.

Grecale will have ambient lighting, that's for sure.
  13. If the timing from VP to SOP is the same for both models that would mean that Tonale VP should be seen on the road in April or May. You can't compare hand made car like MC20 with mass produced cars like Grecale or Tonale.

I would put it differently. Will Grecale outperform Ghibli? Speaking about PHEVs, BEVs and hybrids in general. Mercedes will not offer EQC in US. The same with BME iX3. So it seems that PHEV is MUST for US market.
  15. Have you seen any of PSA factories? They look like in the middle of WW2. Very little money spent for them. On the other side FCA factories in Europe are modern and clean, most of them very recently completely updated.
  16. 2.0 PHEV was under development for Grecale. That's for sure. What had happened with it is still a mystery.

Same wheelbase length as Stelvio? 😕
  18. What will be used for around 450 HP? Something or nothing?
  19. PSA platforms have always the same issues. Technical or better said mechanical impoverishment and very bad packaging. Giorgio? It's alive and many different forks are under development for different brands and markets. If I got it right staring with this year we should have 9 new Giorgio products by 2024. And that's without Alfa Romeo. With 2 Alfa Romeo projects which are on hold it could climb up to 11.
  20. I can say that for ex-FCA Lancia was done and dusted. They were all in with 500 family as replacement for Lancia. I'm now wondering how will 500 fit in Fiat's Core brand positioning. It's more in the line with Peugeot's positioning.
