  1. One thing is important. During 2019, at one FCA Conference Call, Mike Manley said that FCA in Europe has higher margin than PSA for fleet sales. So it's very easy to figure it out that PSA excels at retail sales. It's very important to note that Imparato was PSA Vice President who was responsible for retail channel.
  2. New marketing names for platforms, nothing else. No more CMP, EMP2/eVMP or Giorgio. 😂 The question remains how much of FCA's engineering ethos will they take. Where you fine develop every platform for specific use. This is especially valid for higher end cars. Even VAG is doing this with MLB but of course not with MQB.
  3. Stellantis has at least 6 major R&D center, 4 of them from FCA's side. Not to mention all computer guys from India. Germany should become more and more irrelevant.
  4. I don't like omission of PHEV tech in the long run. On one slide they've highlighted only JVs, only so to speak in house production. And of course it all comes from PSA. PSA in comparison to FCA has very different policy. FCA wants to deliver the best possible products which consume time. Of course FCA has much more advanced development methods so it doesn't take more than for PSA. But FCA tends to do what I call "fine development". Some additional development for vehicle purpose, not just fine tune it like PSA is doing. And FCA wants to offer best possible technology. On the other hand PSA is all about cloning, make many clones as soon as possible at very low price. For example on electrification front. PSA has a JV with Punch for fake e-DCT. I say fake because it has a single clutch so it can't be DCT. On the other hand FCA is buying best possible tech. For the European FWD market Getrag/Magna 7 speed wet DCT with built in electric motor which can be P2 MHEV/PHEV. From ZF for RWD line up their 4th gen ZF 8HP. Or on electric motor front. PSA has JV with Nidec. FCA is buying or will buy electric motor which are state of the art, ZF electric motors for Maserati. I was thinking that Stellantis will combine best practices from both companies. Aiming high attitude from FCA with quick rollout from PSA. But it seems they are all behind cost cutting PSA policy while advanced FCA's development tools will help with faster development times.
  5. 2nd gen eCMP should be in the hands of Italian R&D teams. Large chunk of it. That's for sure.
  6. Klaus Busse is not Head of Alfa Romeo design. His role is and will be different. He is the Head of Design for Italian brands. Pure managerial position. He is 2nd in command to Ralph Gilles or now Gilles and Ploue because those two can't be present at Turin Design Center.
  7. PSA's CAPEX in 2020 was around 3.5 times lower than FCA's. Just sayin'.
  8. @lukka1982 But the most important for Grecale is SOP for October 2021. It was even confirmed by FIM-CISL few days ago. And this is completely in line with my information.
  9. Compass and Renegade MHEV SOP is scheduled for 2021. Renegade October, Compass December.
  10. They have new generation 2.0 MJT ready for use. It's here. All they need is mechanical AWD option. 😂 For ex FCA and how platform thing is working. Platform should be the same as family of architectures. ICE, P2 MHEV and PHEV are all on different architectures. So if they want and need it they can green lit development of B-Wide BEV architecture. Why not? With FCA's speed development it would come out around the same time as EMP2 v4 i.e. eVMP. And they would get much more versatile platform in terms of powertrain and ready for much more markets like US and Brazil. I don't of you are reading news which are not for Europe. They are developing new pick up on B/Small Wide for Brazil. This one is bigger than Toro. Most likely it will be sold under RAM brand. Small/B Wide still has a lot of life left in it.
  11. SOP Tonale 28.12.2021. Tonale PHEV 21.2.2022. Tonale MHEV 23.3.2022.
  12. Usually Compass is faster with every internal combustion engine. I don't know why would it be faster with PHEV. Weight is similar while Compass has much better aerodynamics.
  13. You are talking about data sheet. That's not what I've asked. I asked about QR measured data. AFAIK Compass PHEV was much faster than declared 7.3 seconds. Not to mention that 2.0 turbo would serve both Alfa's and Dodge's image in US.
  14. Do you have data form QR tests of 3008 PHEV? Both P2 and P2P4 PHEV. I'm interested in 0-100 km/h time comparison against Compass P4 PHEV.
  15. Let's not forget that the Dodge Hornet at Pomigliano is the car which will be used to bring costs down. If we are going to see mules with the final bodywork on roads in late April or during May then they are on track to start production late this or early next year. Grecale was seen in February I think. Its production is still slated for October. I gave this numbers for comparison.
  16. LOL, the last night, some 10 hours before I saw this article, I said that Alfa Tonale production is planned for late December. It's December 28th to be precise, 3 days after Christmas, which I believe pushes it automatically to January 2022. Then this morning I see typical Ciferri's doom&gloom article. Tonale is postponed by 3 months he said. Plan was to start production in October 2021. If someone adds 3 months to it you'll end at January 2022. As usual Ciferri is late and the rest of his article is full of shit. It's usual Cifferi.
