  1. Patriot is idiotic name for car which is not US bound.
  2. New generation Charger and Challenger are also in development. Two additional cars or better said SUVs are in so called limbo.
  3. You are ignoring the fact that the same pressure as on the European FCA factories was put on the American FCA factory. All by Mister overrated Carlos Tavaresh.
  4. Tonale project is related to a Dodge C segment SUV. Both development and production. In internal schemes this projects are labeled as D-SUV projects. I believe that some goals like NVH and handling are set closer to D segments levels. Compass is connected to different projects/cars.
  5. Just kill DS and Lancia with immediate effect and put all resources into Alfa and Maserati.
  6. Side is almost the same which is not strange because of the same platform and of course design language. Rear is the best side of the car. Front is strange and gives a feeling that front overhang is longer than it is although it's not short at all. Rear bumper is strange and similar to 2008. I don't know why are they doing it. Interior is always disaster for usability. Car with PRND buttons for transmission reminds me of city buses. LOL
  7. Some media outlets, well most of them, are saying that multilink will not be seen on EMP2 v3 hatchback models. So no P2P4 PHEV on them.
  8. So which one would you kill. Wrangler or Ram 1500? It's impossible to made them on the same platform. P.S. Platform is not the same as architecture. Platform can be the same as family of architectures. For example Ram 1500 and new Jeep Wagoneer are not on the same architecture.
  9. FCA is already on Android OS while PSA planned to do so. https://newmobility.global/connected-car/groupe-psas-infotainment-systems-adopt-android-automotive-os-2023/ So in my opinion they will merge the efforts and use Unconnect 5 as the base for any future development. Don't forget that recently FCA opened new R&D center in India. https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.businesstoday.in/lite/story/fiat-chrysler-to-set-up-150-million-dollar-global-digital-hub-in-hyderabad-create-1000-new-jobs/1/425073.html
  10. Hmh... I don't think that platforms itself bring additional costs. Something or a lot of things bring additional cost. It know that mister Tavaresh thinks that American FCA factories are also not as lean as European PSA factories.
  11. Chinese want upscale foreign brands, not Fiat or Peugeot. Maybe Chrysler brand could be good choice for non premium brand. But maybe. For premium they should go big, they should go bold. They must build Giorgio based cars at site if they want any chance to succeed. Otherwise they are doomed.
  12. French brands in China? Good joke mate. Politics can and will change overnight. European New Green Deal is utopian.
  13. PSA was well known for extremely low CAPEX. Switching from EP and EB to GSE in Europe would mean (substantial) CAPEX spending. This is something which Tavaresh doesn't want to do.
  14. Yes, Fastback is 376. Production start planned in the second half of 2022. Fastback compact was on the Small Wide platform but with a very long 2.7 m wheelbase.
  15. https://www.lavoixdunord.fr/945181/article/2021-02-25/le-moteur-ep-de-prochaine-generation-ne-sera-pas-fabrique-chez-psa-douvrin-mais https://www.lavenirdelartois.fr/109817/article/2021-03-09/billy-berclaudouvrin-quel-avenir-pour-la-francaise-de-mecanique @iDrive
  16. @Davialfa Absolutely! Not to mention that mister Tavaresh had failed with PSA at 2 out of 3 markets. Markets where PSA was strong in terms of sales. He basically killed PSA in China and almost did it in South America. Every market, every brand, needs different approach. Something which may work for Peugeot and in France may not work for Fiat and Italy and for sure will not work for Alfa Romeo.
  17. iOS is at very low market share in Catholic Europe. Much higher share in Protestant Europe. 1.2 EB has some constant problems which are less apparent with newer versions of engine. Like any GDI engine without SMPI it has problems, actually a lot of problems, with LSPI (Low Speed Pre Ignition) which may lead to engine block crack. 1.3? In few years in Europe 1.3 should be thing of the past. 1.5 turbo is coming.
  18. You have right. I completely agree with you. But hatters gonna hate. US is the extremely important market for both Alfa Romeo and Maserati. Who says otherwise has no idea what he is talking about.
  19. In Marchionne era contracts had been put in the place for 3 Alfa Romeo modela yet Manley canceled, switched to other brand, or frozen each of these three. One of the three was an E-SUV in Giorgio Evo. BTW Grand Cherokee WL is on Giorgio Evo or if you prefer you can call it Giorgio Global. Contracts were for Phase 2 lightening. Usually plastic lately replacement materials. Giulia and Stelvio are using Phase 1.
  20. Of course my dear troll. GM North America Q4 EBIT 8.7% FCA NAFTA Q4 EBIT 11.6%
  21. Who said that it's based on the Compass? It's based on another, more modern, car. Dodge is not an entry level brand anymore. It's an American muscle.
  22. He was there for a few years. Nothing extraordinary in terms of performance. His right hand was Larry Dominique. The very same guy who is the new Head of Alfa Romeo North America and who was responsible for Pug's return to US.
