  1. PSA platforms have always the same issues. Technical or better said mechanical impoverishment and very bad packaging. Giorgio? It's alive and many different forks are under development for different brands and markets. If I got it right staring with this year we should have 9 new Giorgio products by 2024. And that's without Alfa Romeo. With 2 Alfa Romeo projects which are on hold it could climb up to 11.
  2. I can say that for ex-FCA Lancia was done and dusted. They were all in with 500 family as replacement for Lancia. I'm now wondering how will 500 fit in Fiat's Core brand positioning. It's more in the line with Peugeot's positioning.
  3. One of you gave the correct answer. At least from what I've heard it seems that way but I repat it was a long ago. Like in 2018. And contrary to GME T4 which has an open deck block this one has closed desk engine block. In addition to GME T6 there is the 2nd generation GME T4 in development.
  4. From what I've heard, and it was a long ago, it should be larger than 3.0 liters but for sure smaller than 3.6.
  5. EMP2 v3? I saw videos of the new DS4 and it didn't convince me. They still have issues with the rear knee room. Same rear suspension choice with twisted beam. I already said it and now I'll repeat it. Actions like using EMP2 v3 would led time to the dark ages of the worst Alfiats. I'm talking about products like 145/146, 155 or even MiTo. And we know how they ended. EMP2 v4? I don't know if they'll make some adaptations for premium brands. But problems with PSA are always the same. Their engineering is really not worth the shit. What PSA does well or even the best in the car business are their retail channel and marketing.
  6. @pennellotref Unfortunately politicians are idiots. It's not unlikely that car ownership will be a premium in the future. But also PHEV is a must in the future. Many car makers have set goals of the 100 km electric range as the ultimate goals for PHEVs. With upcoming technology the price of batteries but also their weight will not prohibitive as is today.
  7. Yes, but I'm not expecting that many people will buy them. Grand Cherokee could be the best selling SUV with north of $50k MSRP. The one will be surprised to see how much is Grand Cherokee cross-shopped with German premium SUVs.
  8. Grand Cherokee L is not cheap. If you want anything but base trim and if you want AWD you are already very close to $50k and it's without clicking on any option. Grand Cherokee L Limited AWD with 3.6 V6 Pentastar will start close to $50k.
  9. No... The new engines will be 1.2 I3 Tce and 1.5 I4 Tce. Actually these engines already exist as naturally aspirated for many years now. They are produced by Nissan. Diesel engines will live in commercial Renault vehicles but they said that they will live for passenger cars if market wants them.
  10. 100% Fiat. Lancia's R&D at the time was non existent. It was created by Fiat R&D, by Fiat engineers, for Lancia Beta. First Lancia on Fiat platform and with Fiat engines.
  11. Moose test is test for ESP setting and is rewarding non invasive i.e. soft suspension set-up. In other words it's better for cars which are not set-up for good cornering. Of course there are some exceptions. New 208 and 2008? Very bad cars in terms of handling.
  12. Moose test is not for the dynamic qualities of a car. It's something else. PSA doesn't have good driving qualities. Actually far from it. And their technical base is for several reasons lacking for a proper Alfa Romeo. Not just set-up. It's lacking both in suspension typology and materials. To this day Giulietta is more advanced in suspension department than all compact EMP2 cars. Nuff said.
  13. @davos Better dynamic qualities? Have you smoked something?
  14. Usage of PSA platforms is a step towards the darkest age of Alfiats. I'm talking about cars like 145/146, 155 and MiTo. Cars which had zero Alfa's DNA. This is the way to kill Alfa Romeo brand. If eVMP is based on EMP2 then it brings all of drawbacks into a game. No independent rear suspension, no front aluminum suspension, very long nose which gives unpleasant side proportions, tiny rear bench leg room... It only brings BEV option but every platform could receive BEV platform if they want to do it. Small Wide BEV? I haven't heard about it. Who knows, maybe they'll give a green light to it. Dunno.
  15. Where? IMO they should put Alfa from D segment up back to Modena. Pair it yet again with Maserati. That's the only way. DS and Lancia are old man, grandpa, brands with baroque design. They are waste
  16. Even EMP2 v4 could end up very bad for Alfa. Small Wide is alive and kickin'. IMO they should kill of DS brand wit immediate effect.
  17. Ouch! As always with EMP2 even this EMP2 v3 seems to have very little rear leg room. In addition to this every EMP2 car has a very long, even too long nose, which gives unpleasant side look.
  18. Dodge has 4 or 5 new cars in the cards. And that's it. It could end up with sedan, Coupe and 2 or 3 SUVs. I don't know how many of them are green lit. The one of them will be in production in less than 18 months. I can say as much. Future of Dodge is not dependent on PSA. They are 100% FCA products.
