    Transaxle is only gearbox, it's not a platform with transaxle gearbox. So, for Ford: Segmento 3 - boxer 2l; 1991 new gearbox; Alfa/Ford which would based on new Ford platform. Ford wanted to use boxer engines for New Escort, like ARNA. Segmento 4 - only Sprtwagon by Pininfarina in 1986 and facelift fot 75 in 1989. In this segment they planed to use Mondeo platform from 1993 and Ford 16 valve engines! Segmento 5 - Station wagon for 164 in two variants for Alfa and Ford. Since 1994 they wanted abandon Scorpio platform and used to modified 164 platform for Ford and Alfa. This new Alfa wold be very similar to 166.
