  1. LOL, the last night, some 10 hours before I saw this article, I said that Alfa Tonale production is planned for late December. It's December 28th to be precise, 3 days after Christmas, which I believe pushes it automatically to January 2022. Then this morning I see typical Ciferri's doom&gloom article. Tonale is postponed by 3 months he said. Plan was to start production in October 2021. If someone adds 3 months to it you'll end at January 2022. As usual Ciferri is late and the rest of his article is full of shit. It's usual Cifferi.
  2. Now when I have seen the whole article I can say when is Tonale SOP planned. For the last week of December 2021. And it was planned like that in December 2020. So nothing new here.

  4. @lukka1982 I agree. But it seems that French pride was attacked and broken by Gorlier. They can't pass over EMP2 platform snub.
  5. Imparato is idiot like rest of French guys. He wants more powerful PHEV. That's all. He doesn't understand that Alfa Romeo is about steering feel and handling. For him performance equals acceleration.
  6. Poland/Tychy will get 500 5p, Jeep Junior and Alfa Kid. That's for sure. PSA had transferred this development to Turin. At least partially if not all. I don't have any dates. In the autumn Cassino will get Maserati Grecale production. Folgore version will follow almost a full year later, actually it's more like 9 months from what I remember. Folgore for all Maserati models is slated for calendar 2022. This includes GranTurismo, MC20 and Grecale. So far MC20 sales are going better than expected. It's sold out for 2021 and they sold bug chunk of 2022 allocation already at the beginning of 2021. So at this moment it's very likely that 2022 allocation is close to being sold out. Late this year in Melfi they will start production of P2 MHEV Jeep Renegade and Compass. In 2022 500X MCA is coming. In Pomigliano Tonale should start production at the very end of 2021. PHEV and P2 MHEV versions should follow in Q1 2022. Dodge C-SUV will follow in mid 2022. Fiat Tipo P2 MHEV will start production in Q1 2022. At this moment these are the plans. Of course I may know more but it's unimportant for EU market or European and Italian production.
  7. @nucarote Of course you can shorten whichever platform you want but question is about internal dimensions, habitability and packaging. In this regard CMP as it is can't be used for A segment cars or even for South American B segment. Which actually shows that the new Mini would be much better suitable as a worldwide platform.
  8. Commander? Is it official? Just imagine another surprise with Wagoneer Sport. 😂
  9. I would like to see this car in Europe. I think that it would be the far better choice in Europe than current generation Cherokee.
  10. Jesus, this is trolling. You all know about who I'm talking about. Both PSA and FCA were slightly late with electrification efforts in EU.
  11. @nucarote Not true. PSA is late with P2 MHEV introduction. It should happen in late 2023. Original plan was during 2022.
  12. Small/B Wide MHEV is another new architecture in addition to ICE and PHEV versions. I presume that batteries will not be small. It's a P2 MHEV.
  13. I'm wondering when the decision to build Dodge next to Tonale has came up.🤔 10.25" can be fitted inside of Stelvio. Not sure about Giulia.
  14. PSA doesn't produce 8 speed Aisin. Here it has something with production. I can say as much. And I think that the transmission is 100% FCA.
  15. But some decisions represent their way of thinking and we are still long way of to a joint development. It's still very thick line between FCA and PSA led development. Think about this: Or even better this:
  16. They have EVT. But interesting part is 8 speed. FCA doesn't have 8 speed FWD transmission.
  17. PSA wants less variations in production. That's it.
  18. Idiotic moves by the ultimate cost cutter. Did I already say that?
  19. I think it's just a bad reporting which is usual from AN. For sure B segment SUV is not sellable and will not be on sale in US.
  20. Carlos the ultimate cost cutter Tavaresh is completely idiot if he thinks that this is formula for succes. If Sergio hot anything right that's idea of CAPEX growth. It was one of the most important things for survival. You can fight with excellence and not with cutting and useless savings.
  21. Same or similar things are happening in FCA US plants. Tavaresh pushed them all. So don't make big fuss out of this.
  22. Even a little bigger is still a C in US. For example CR-V or RAV4. Even our Tiguan Allspace is marketed as compact in US. Some engineering goals can define vehicle class, not just size. I don't know if Dodge will be bigger than Tonale. I even don't know Tonale's size. Is it bigger than Compass? One important thing to take for consideration. More and more Jeep dealerships in US will separate from Dodge and Chrysler. So Dodge and Chrysler will be in need of some entry level models. Currently Dodge has young demographics and can command higher average transaction price than Chrysler. So the choice was very simple. Not to mention what Tim Kuniskis thought about Dodge and Alfa. American and European performance. Of course execution must be different for higher segments but both are performance brands. Dodge is about acceleration, Alfa is about handling.
