  1. Seeing this speach from Tavaresh I wouldn't be surprised if he is going to be eaten by alligators in US.
  2. UAW-FCA close to tentative deal that would include $9,000 signing bonus, source says https://eu.freep.com/story/money/cars/chrysler/2019/11/29/uaw-fca-contract-negotiations-bonus/4332228002/
  3. Kepler Cheuvreux is a French company. No wonder they are making fairy tales but that is not changing the fact that merger is 50:50 and that Exor will have the biggest presence on Board.
  4. GM CEO Mary Barra: Here’s Why We’re Suing FCA for Racketeering We sit down for an exclusive one-on-one interview with GM’s CEO https://www.motortrend.com/news/heres-suing-fca-racketeering
  5. When you are trying to lie that it's better to do your homework. There are MA engines with max power at 5750 rpm. And even than you've messed up or you didn't clearly said what you've thought. MA engines can have red line very low. But in case of GME T4 M it's at 6100 rpm and not at 5000 rpm.
  6. FCA, PSA work to avoid antitrust problems in merger https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/fca-psa-work-avoid-antitrust-problems-merger
  7. Most European unions express support for Fiat Chrysler-PSA merger https://eu.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/chrysler/2019/11/26/most-european-unions-support-fiat-chrysler-psa-merger/4306586002/
  8. GM's 'nuclear' FCA racketeering suit difficult to prove https://eu.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/general-motors/2019/11/26/general-motors-nuclear-racketeering-suit-fiat-chrysler-difficult-prove/4259995002/
  9. Double votes are not calculated in that way. If there are 100 shares and you have 14 and you are the only one with double votes you end up with 28 votes but total number of votes is now 114 and not 100. Or vote right will jump from 14 to close to 25%. And that's in case if no one else has double votes. Ex FGA and now FCA has a very bad realisations with journalists. It something they must work on. No matter how bad are journalists they are still opinion makers.
  10. Haven't John Elkann said that Exor have Peugeot family backing? He even compared with a Ferrari where they have backing of Piero Ferrari. In that case France and Dongfeng are irrelevant.
  11. You guys are jumping with conclusions. Any new Dodge or Chrysler is still to far away. Anything could change. Article above says- HEMI power for Dodge Stelvio. Can they fit HEMI inside of Stelvio and pass crash tests as it is? I doubt it. I think it will be bigger than Stelvio and it will be a 5 seats crossover. It shouldbe accompanied with 2 more new Dodge models. All on Giorgio.
  12. FCA, PSA tell employees they will sign merger agreement in coming weeks https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/fca-psa-tell-employees-they-will-sign-merger-agreement-coming-weeks
  13. Low brand potential? I disagree. It lacks sales network especially quality one. Why not couple it with Maserati sales channel in Europe? And of course the other part is the lack of models. They must be prepared to bleed the money especially in the first decade of relaunch.
  14. I believe that it will be somewhat larger on the outside than Stelvio and it will Made in Canada. Speaking of Canada AFAIK Alfa's big SUV could be made there. It's still in the air. Dodge Is Working On A New Performance UV To Replace Journey: New UV Vehicle To Feature HEMI Power... https://moparinsiders.com/dodge-is-working-on-a-new-performance-uv-to-replace-journey/
  15. I still believe that Alfa B-SUV will be part of triplets together with 500X II and Renegade II. Similar execution as Audi Q2 or Mazga CX-30. Around 1.55 meters in height . Availability of "big" engines, diesels and all wheel drive.
  16. General Motors declares corporate war on Fiat Chrysler GM CEO Mary Barra appeared at the White House with then-FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne in February 2017. Marchionne died in July 2018. https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/general-motors-declares-corporate-war-fiat-chrysler
  17. Yes, but back than specifications sheet said "UK only". http://www.alfaromeopress.com/actionphp/download.php?id_brand=3&filename=2019%2FALFA-ROMEO%2FListini%2F191120_Alfa-Romeo_Giulia-MY20_Technical-Data.pdf&type=attach&subtype=tech
  18. I must say that I don't understand how they/PSA made such mistake with a CMP. Small luggage capacity, no leg space for passengers on rear bench.Even old 208 was better than a new in this aspect. Are PSA engineers so incompetent or is this due to Tavares cost cutting methods? BTW, it seems that new C4 will be on CMP. How many Fiat products could end up on CMP?
  19. https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/detail.jsf?docId=US239193347&tab=NATIONALBIBLIO
  20. "...The pre-chamber is, not used for engine operation with poor dosing, but to increase resistance to engine detonation. The engine can thus be configured with a high compression ratio, with a significant reduction in fuel consumption at the same power level. The second spark plug is only activated at low and medium engine loads to stabilize combustion. ..." https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/detail.jsf?docId=US239193347
  21. But that guy is irrelevant in a bigger scheme. Head of PSA Italy. Really? I can see FCA using CMP for models which need FWD only drivetrain but IMO EMP2 sucks and should be retired. 4 stars on Euro NCAP from CMP are IMO related to a pedestrian impact but it also doesn't excels in Adult passenger safety.
