Poche info rilasciate da Toyota in merito alla GR GT3 Concept, vettura che viene definita come creata ad hoc per il campionato GT3 al posto di adattare un'auto già esistente. Ciao ragazzi, vi riporto qui qualche novità risalente a qualche mese fa e provenienti da insiders del gruppo. Interessano perlopiù la divisione americana, ma spero vi faccia comunque piacere leggerle. News pressoché certe per Toyota e Lexus da un insider (la fonte ha inviato il product plan, non pubblicato per privacy): - Toyota GR86: in collabo con Subaru, debutta entro fine 2020; - Toyota Camry: facelift previsto per l’autunno 2020 e nuova generazione nel 2024; - Toyota Avalon: facelift nel 2021; - Toyota Corolla Cross: una sorta di Xceed che vedrà la luce verso fine 2020; - Toyota Venza: come già annunciato, comeback del nome, sempre su un crossover, per fine 2020; - Toyota RAV4: facelift nel 2021; - Toyota Sequoia: nuovo modello nel 2021; _ Toyota 4Runner: nuovo modello nel 2022; - Toyota Tundra: debutto nel 2021 sulla piattaforma TNGA-F; - Toyota Land Cruiser: molto più rugged, soltanto a 5 posti e nessuna enfasi sul lusso, avrà come base tecnica il Tundra. (Nessuna data di lancio); - Toyota Tacoma: nuovo modello nel 2023, probabilmente unificato con il futuro Hilux previsto per il medesimo anno. L’attuale Hilux riceverà un altro facelift, a breve. Passiamo a Lexus: - Lexus UX: facelift nel 2021; - Lexus NX: nuovo modello nel 2021 su base TNGA-K. Propulsori hybrid, e phev, display infotainment da 14’’ sottoforma di cockpit unico, design avant-garde; - Lexus RX: nuovo modello nel 2022 su base TNGA-K, probabilmente soltanto a 7 posti, ma decisamente meglio eseguito a livello estetico dell’attuale; - Lexus ES: facelift nel 2021; - Lexus LS: facelift nel 2020; - Lexus GX: nuovo modello nel 2023; - Lexus LX: debutto nel 2022 per il nuovo modello, totalmente differente dall’attuale e molto più lussuoso. Non sarà un Land Cruiser imbellettato; - Lexus LC-F: debutto nel 2022 con un nuovo V8 Twin-Turbo.- 67 replies

Tra tutti i concept presentati, indiscrezioni dalla Cina identificano la già annunciata sedan in co-produzione Toyota-BYD "per il mercato cinese". Sarebbe questa Bz SDN, primo frutto del team di progettazione congiunto BTET (Byd-Toyota) e seconda EV dopo il SUV Bz4X appena presentato. Codice interno 290D Piattaforma BYD e-platform 3.0 con BYD Blade battery (strutturali) Dimensioni all'incirca della BYD QIN (4,75 mt), segmento D quindi. Marchio Toyota, costruita nello stabilimento Toyota-FAW di Tianjin Fascia di prezzo a partire da circa $30.000 In produzione in H2 2022 Presentazione aprile 2022 al Salone di Pechino Direi che questa non è un econobox dedicato al mercato cinese, ma la prima Toyota-BYD EV globale. Mi aspetto di vederla molto simile in vari mercati mondiali. Ma addolcire la pillola di questa cooperazione pesante per l'immagine di Toyota con un'auto presentata come "per il mercato cinese", potrebbe essere accettabile. La BYD e-platform 3.0 con le sue batterie supersicure BLADE integrate nella struttura del telaio (video). Mentre Tesla presenta maquette fake di Model Y con batterie strutturali che non riesce a produrre, le 4680, questi invece fanno le batterie strutturali, le vendono a Toyota, e vendono a Tesla 10 GW di batterie BYD Blade non strutturali.

The experimental hydrogen-powered Corolla Sport has already been competing in the Super Taikyu race series in Japan since May this year under the ROOKIE Racing arm of Toyota GAZOO Racing where the team has taken on the challenge to test the experimental hydrogen combustion engine under the harsh environments of motorsport. “ Akio Toyoda, President of Toyota Motor Corporation „ Hydrogen combusts at a faster rate than petrol, resulting in good responsiveness whilst delivering excellent environmental performance. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing aims to develop its cars and people toward the goal of "making ever-better cars" through participation in motorsports activities, such as top category races including the World Rally Championship (WRC) and World Endurance Championship (WEC), as well as national rallies and races. The technologies and know-how acquired through such activities are subsequently fed back into the development of new production vehicles. As part of this integrated development process from motorsports activities through product development, Toyota launched the new "GR" sports car series in September. The theme selected by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing for Tokyo Auto Salon 2018 is "Meister's Workshop" and will feature cars that have competed in various motorsports activities, as well as cars that have been developed as a result of these competitions. The aim is also to promote the enjoyment of vehicle customization and communicate how cars will continue to exude an increasingly exciting presence in the future. In addition to vehicles competing in motorsports such as the Yaris WRC and TS050 Hybrid, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing will also be exhibiting the GR Super Sport Concept, a concept car originate from participation in the WEC, as one example of how technological feedback acquired through motorsports activities is incorporated. The exhibited vehicles will also include production vehicles such as the 86 GR and the Vitz GRMN, a 150-unit limited edition model for Japan. The vehicles scheduled to compete in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in May will also be revealed, while the drivers for the race will be announced on January 12.

Inizia a vedersi qualche anteprima del Motor Show 2017 di Tokyo....Toyota presenta un concept ibrido su base GT86....sfruttando il nuovo logo sportivo GR (Gazoo Racing). IMHO a parte il posteriore....i Giap continuano a sfornare prodotti potenzialmente interessanti con estetica potenzialmente migliorabile...sic!

concept che anticipa la nuova generazione di Toyota Crown, modello storico del marchio Toyota nato nel 1955 che rappresenta l'ammiraglia sportiva della casa. il concept praticamente definitivo riguarda la versione RS che sará quella caratterizzata da una estetica piu sportiva, il pianale é il nuovo TNGA-L a trazione posteriore utilizzato dalle nuove Lexus LS ed LC, lunghezza 4,92 metri. sara prevista anche una versione ibrida ed una lussuosa con calandra diversa. l'auto é carina ma ha ruote troppo piccole a mio parere, e un frontale troppo carico, il logo rivisto é quello storico Crown. La gamma motori dovrebbe esser condivisa con la prossima Lexus GS
