  2. La Skoda Fabia XE sperimentale elettrica di Mundl Baumschlager ( plurivoltr Staatsmeister di Austria) consuma in modo corsa 80-100kWh per 100Km, con una batterie di 57kEh la macchina ha una autonomia di ca. 50Km, abbastanza poco per una gara in WRC.

  11. TURIN – Fiat could launch an upscale version the Citroen Ami electric two-seater quadricycle next year, according to the brand’s dealers. The Fiat version would revive the Topolino name, dealers told Automotive News Europe. It could also be sold with a convertible variant with a canvas top, something not currently available on the Ami and its sister model, the Opel Rocks-e. Topolino means Mickey Mouse in Italian and it was the nickname given in the country to the original Fiat 500 that was launched in 1936, bringing car ownership within the reach of the masses just like the Volkswagen Beetle did in Germany. A dealer who saw the vehicle told ANEurope that it was more refined than the Ami. Citroen launched the Ami in France in April 2020, with Italian sales following in December. Registrations in 2020 were 2,719, mainly in France, according to Citroen. Last year, after adding Spain, Belgium and Portugal, registrations of the Ami grew to 9,183 units. This year Citroen plans to build about 15,000 Amis after the brand expanded sales to other countries including UK and Germany, plus Morocco, where the car is built. Opel launched the Rocks-e at the end of last year. It is available, like the Citroen model, in a passenger or delivery van version. Opel aims to sell about 5,000 Rocks-e this year. The Stellantis plant in Kenitra, Morocco, is expected to increase production to 20,000 this year from 18,000 units built in 2021 and grow to about 35,000 to 40,000 units from 2023 including the Topolino, supplier sources told ANEurope. The Ami and Rocks-e are classed as quadricycles because of their small size and low speed, so they can be driven from the age of 14 to 16 in various European countries, including France, Germany and Italy, with a light motor vehicle license. The models are only 2410 mm long and 1390 mm wide, excluding the exterior mirrors. The relatively tall height at 1520 mm allows the drive and passenger to get in and out easily despite the vehicle’s overall small size. Weight is just 471 kg, about the same as a battery pack fitted in a conventional full-electric car. The car's range is about 75 km (47 miles) on a full charge, which can be achieved in 3.5 hours on a household electric socket, Citroen said. The models are powered by a 5.5-kilowatt-hour battery and have a top speed of 45 kph (32 mph). Stellantis declined to comment on an eventual Ami variant for the Fiat brand.

MILAN -- Vehicle production from sites owned in Italy by Stellantis and previously its predecessor Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is set to fall for a fifth consecutive year in 2022 due to the microchip supply crunch, the FIM CISL union said. FCA and PSA Group merged at the start of last year to form Stellantis. At the time of the merger PSA did not operate its own production facilities in Italy. FIM CISL said overall Stellantis production in Italy fell 14 percent year-on-year in the first quarter due to the semiconductor shortage, which is weighing in particular on the Melfi and Sevel plants, two of the group's main sites in the country. In particular, car production fell 2.6 percent to 123,484 units, while van production fell 30 percent to 56,690, it added. Melfi covers around 40 percent of Stellantis car production in Italy, while Sevel is Europe's largest van production plant. FIM CISL Head Ferdinando Uliano said exceptional factors such as the coronavirus pandemic and the ongoing chip shortage were becoming a constant. "The war in Ukraine is having an impact on supplies," he said while presenting the union's quarterly report on Stellantis production in Italy. "There was hope that 2022 could mark an improvement on semiconductors and raw material supplies, but we now doubt this can happen." FIM CISL said that based on trends seen in the three months, 2022 production could fall below 600,000 vehicles, with cars amounting to less than 400,000 units. That would mark a fifth consecutive year of declining output, including COVID-hit 2020, and compares with a total of over 1 million vehicles leaving the assembly lines in 2017, the last time Fiat Chrysler reported rising annual production in Italy. BYD Announce End of ICE Vehicle Production and New Sales Record BYD, the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in China, has announced it stopped making vehicles that rely purely on a combustion engine in March and will now only produce full battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. The news comes alongside the company’s announcement that March deliveries set a new record with over 100,000 units sold, all electrified models. Of those, 53,664 were BEVs and a further 50,674 were PHEVs. “By doing this, BYD has become the first automotive manufacturer in the world to stop the production of fuel combusting vehicles”, the brand posted on their Twitter channel. This time last year BYD was celebrating NEV sales of just 24,218 units, but in June it was reported that BYD had stopped all planning on future ICE vehicles. A more than fourfold increase in electrified vehicle sales since then appears to have given them confidence to take this decisive action. BYD is part of a six-strong group of carmakers who signed up to a campaign to phase out combustion engine vehicles by 2040, the others being Ford, General Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo. By continuing to produce PHEVs, BYD will still make use of small, efficient combustion engines, however with BEV sales currently making up more than 50% of total sales, it seems only a matter of time before all sales end up being totally emission-free. Owners of combustion-engined BYDs will remain well served with production and supply of relevant parts and components, as well as after sales services, continuing for the full lifecycle of those vehicles. The move supports the Chinese government’s pledge to see carbon emissions in the country peak by 2030 and coincides with unprecedented demand for electrified vehicles in China. Last year, NEV sales rose by 158% in China and topped 3.52 million units. BYD’s strong start to 2022 has already led the brand to upgrade their annual forecast from 1.2 to 1.5 million units, potentially reaching 2 million if supply issues can be overcome. (carnewschina)

Se fanno davvero, poi sarebbe una soluzione ancora piu radicale come quella di Ford (che hanno solo diviso l'azienda in due parte gestionale) - una operazione un po come han' fatto le banche con i crediti "accidiosi", che hanno trasferito in una bad bank. Lo stesso succederebbe nell settore dei automobili con le macchine ice.

  20. TURIN – Alfa Romeo's next flagship model will be a full-electric SUV larger than the current midsize Stelvio and will be launched by 2027, CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato told journalists. Speaking last week during a visit to Stellantis’ Pomigliano factory in southern Italy, which builds the Tonale compact SUV, Imparato said the new flagship model would be crucial to increasing Alfa Romeo’s sales in Europe, the U.S. and China, according to Italian media reports. It will compete with the X5 from BMW, the brand that Alfa Romeo has set as its benchmark, Imparato told Automotive News Europe in an interview in February. There were 46,238 BMW X5s sold in Europe in 2021, according to Dataforce. The model will be Alfa Romeo’s fourth SUV, following the Stelvio, which was launched in 2017, the Tonale that went on sale this year and a small SUV set to debut in 2024 that likely will be called Brennero. Alfa Romeo will not become an SUV-only brand like Jeep, Imparato said. "We are not abandoning the Giulia" midsize sedan, he said. "There will be a future Giulia, and it will be an electric-only model." Alfa Romeo has decided not to launch a successor to the Giulietta compact hatchback, which ceased production in late 2020. “For the [compact segment] we have the Tonale, which is a global product,“ Imparato said. “The Giulietta was only a European model, and we want Alfa to be global.“ Imparato said in the Automotive News Europe interview in February that a large model was the most likely addition to the range, while a Giulietta replacement was not among the top priorities. The new Alfa Romeo model would compete with leading large SUVs such as the BMW X5, shown in plug-in hybrid form. Return to 100,000 global sales After becoming a part of Stellantis in the merger of PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Alfa Romeo was profitable in 2021 under Imparato after decades of red ink. The brand hopes to return to 100,000 global sales, possibly by 2023 and helped by the Tonale. Last year, Alfa Romeo sold 56,000 units globally, mainly Giulias and Stelvios. Europe accounted for 28,000 units (18,334 Stelvios, 6,479 Giulias and 3,037 Giuliettas, according to figures from Dataforce), and the US for 18,250 (10,539 Stelvios and 7,634 Giulias, according to figures from the Automotive News Data Center). The Tonale went into production in March, with a capacity of 23 units per hour, pointing to potential output of 40,000 to 80,000 units a year. Imparato said in February that global sales of the Tonale could be in the range of 70,000 to 80,000 units. Europe could account for 45,000 to 60,000 units, with 10,000 to 15,000 possible in the U.S. Alfa plans to ramp up Tonale production to about 20,000 units this year. The model will go in sale in Europe in June and reach the U.S. by the end of the year.
