  1. They took 28 months to make a clone without any significant change for exterior design. And now someone is telling me that they will do a new car in 24 months with unique design and feasibility study included in those 24 months. Are you joking?
  2. Are you looking at Europe or globally? If we look globally and if want to slash number of engines globally than PSA EB(1.2 turbo), EC(old 1.6 for South America) and EP(1.6 turbo) engines will all be retired. All of these engines could be replaced by a single GSE family of engines containing 1.0, 1.3 and 1.5 liter engines. The only question is about French pride. Can they swallow it?

  7. Speaking open minded. Nobody cares about Lancia outside of Italy and even in Italy it was all about Ypsilon which was not originally Lancia model. Since 1970 which is half of century the only Lancia which caught eyes is Fiat Delta. And that's all. So the most convenient would be to finally kill this brand. On the other hand I'm interested what will they do with Fiat. 500 or retro family is still ongoing or is it a dead with a single model? Anyway Italian brands including Fiat can not be just a chic brands like French. Usually people want some mechanical substance when they are buying Italian brands.

L’avanzato sistema Active Noise Cancellation, insieme alla carrozzeria a doppi pannelli, alle guarnizioni delle portiere e ai vetri acustici completano la serie di miglioramenti apportati per azzerare i livelli di NVH.
  9. 18 months doesn't sound possible even with a simple CMP reskin. I always thought that CMP or any PSA based product would be here no sooner than mid 2023. Even Opel Corsa reskin took 28 months for development. And it's pure reskin. Even silhouette is the same as on the 208. Thus second half of 2022 sounds like e-Mini Wide. There is another option. PSA engineers started their work on FCA CMP based products much earlier than anyone has told so far.
  10. Have you seen torsional rigidity numbers for Jeep Renegade? It's at around 28 000 Nm/deg. Of course that it must be a very heavy car. I doubt that 500X has such high torsional rigidity.
  11. Update Small Wide to BEV version and together with eMini it would made CMP surplus but also a good portion of EMP2 v3 and v4(eVMP) based products. 😂
  12. PSA sells only in Europe and PSA sells only non premium brands. This leads us to conclusion that Tavares plan will be bad if he tries to apply it to ex FCA. He can apply it to Fiat in Europe but that's all. Not to Fiat in South America, not to Alfa and especially not on Maserati, and not on Jeep or Ram.
  13. VAG has 3 different platforms for FWD with transverse engines. It's 4 if you add Up into the mix. Those are MQB A0, MQB A1 and MQB A2. In addition to this they have MLB for FWD with longitudinal engine and MSB for RWD. So far this makes 5 highly used platforms. On the engine front VAG has EA211. Part of EA211 family are 1.0 TSI, 1.2 TSI, 1.4 TSI and 1.5 TSI. EA288 engine family has 1.6 TDI and 2.0 TDI. EA897 is a 3.0 V6 TDI. Similar EA898 is a 4.0 V8 TDI. AFAIK they are related. EA888 has or had 2 different engines, 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI. EA839 are 2.9 V6 TFSI and 3.0 V6 TFSI. EA825 is related to it and is a 4.0 V8 TFSI. VAG has some additional specialty platforms and engines. Compare it to PSA. 😂
  14. GME T4 is related to PHEV. GME T6 should be P2 MHEV and should have eBooster. Always related to the 4th gen ZF 8HP. But it's very unlikely that we'll see if before 2023. If they do not cancel it. 😂 They played it safe. New platform combined with old engines. I understand this choice. The way they did original Giorgio project is not the way how it's recommended to do it. All new platform combined with all new engines.

  16. They are finally moving away from Harman sound systems. Harman didn't receive good reviews in the past. So it's McIntosh for Jeep, Sonus Faber for Maserati. Both are part of McIntosh Group.

  21. Very hard to achieve unless more models join in and/or Jeep Junior is exported to US. Only 30k for Alfa Mini? Interesting. I think that potential is higher with properly engineered car. With a car which has Alfa's driving dynamics, steering response and feel. As @Davialfa said Alfa is not bout big and powerful engines, it's about handling, about feel.
  22. I think that some people would be more than happy with B-SUV which is FWD and has 1.5 turbo with around 200 HP coupled to a hybrid DCT which produces around 25 kW (34 HP). Add to that Limited Slip Differential (LSD).
