    New BMW X1 which will debut the next month will focus on similar powertrwins as Tonale. 1.5 Inline 3 with 140 and 170 HP mated to a 7 speed Magna/Getrag hybrid DCT.

    They can always opt for an 8 speed Aisin. I don't know what have happened with the new 8 speed automatic which was under development of FCA US. The new 8 speed for FWD based cars. GME T4 Evo or GME T4 2nd Gen is also under development. I don't know if Tonale is using it.

    I still can't understand to base it on failed project called Mokka or DS3 Crossback. 2008 II size as the starting point would be much better. But it seems that they always need to shoot themselves in the leg. Not to mention use of very bad PSA motorisation. IMO Italian car fan wants to drive Italian car with Italian engine.

    In my opinion much more sense would have 2.2 diesel with aluminium block in 2 power steps, let's say 150 and 200 HP, than this 1.6 cast iron base diesel with 130 HP. But as it was in the past transmission is a bottleneck of Small Wide platforms. 9 speed ZF is just not good enough while even Getrag DCT is torque limited. When it comes to design this car is very good.

    Only 130 HP TSI is Miller, not the 150 HP one.

    This project is long in the plans and will be based on Small Wide platform for South American market.

    Idiots! Very bad PSA engines and Chinese platform. Don't forget that CMP is Chinese. It has very bad packaging, not much of interior space. So I'm wondering why will they use short wheelbase as on Mokka and not the longer one as on 2008 II.

    It can be DWCT or similar but never DDCT because clutches are not dry. Strange I must say. Not to mention that many people prefer wet over dry DCT. I'm one of them. In few years I may buy a car with this engine and transmission.

    MHEV engines will be really nice, something new on the market, much closer to HEV than to current MHEV offerings. They will offer limited EV range and e-creeping. What I was expecting is 1.5 turbo with more than 200 HP.

    I'm unaware of any big plans for STLA Medium for US brands. US was and should be all about Gio... ehm STLA Large and of course STLA Frame.

    1.6 diesel will have more than 137 g/km. Keep that in mind. But in general premium cars are setup for reactivity, not for fuel saving i.e. lesser CO2 emission.

    @Franky... You have right. It seems that most people here don't understand advantage of a P2 hybrid system. Some will be pleasantly surprised. My only disappointment is with power level. The first version which was planned was with 190 HP. Now there is no word of it.

    Yes, inspired by QP. But I also see Grand Cherokee WL there. I prefer QP interior design over Ghible and Levante.

    It seems that Harman units in FCA products had some very bad review and FCA did their best to improve the situation. So they switched from Harman to McIntosh Group. This means that Jeep is now using McIntosh branded sound systems with Maserati using Sonus Faber.

    Still Stlvio petrol or diesel weighs from 150 to 250 kg less than direct competitors. Here we talk about car which has size of Porsche Cayenne with weight of Audi Q5.
