  1. First versions were identical. But now 200 HP versions is without EGR. For years now we have heard that 350 HP has an additional battery for 48V system. But IMO. The most interesting part is. Will it have e-turbo or not?
  2. I know that PR material could be wrong. Actually I was contacted by one guy who worked something for GME. They messed up even a place where will it be assembled in the USA. LPDC or LPSC have some other advantages over HPDC. Like higher stiffness even with open deck design because walls are thicker. This is compensated on HPDC designs with "ribs". Also they have advantage if you need heat treatment or aging treatment. Something you can't do with HPDC. All of this can have repercussions on GME T6. Especially if it is a Inline 6 engine. Although GME could mean just a combustion chamber design, common bore and stroke dimensions... This was posted by one insider on Allpar. By someone who had worked something related to one GME:
  3. Can they use balance shafts on the side of the block with HPDC? Teksid is already making HPDC engine blocks for GSE in Brasil. Italian foundry is in the pilot process. What's interesting. Press release for new Cherokee says that engine block for 2.0 is made by LP sand casting and that engine itself is for now assembled in Termoli, Italy. If some of you remember. When they introduced Giulia for US market spec sheet for 2.0 GME version said that engine block is sand cast. All this sounds odd to me. Sand cast for mass produced engine block. Really? And Termoli as only place for assembly right now sounds like they have some issues in North American factory.
  4. Every GME is open deck. At least every currently available versions including one for Alfa. I don't know where foundry is. But I believe for now there is just one foundry used. For certain all GME engines are now assembled exclusively in Termoli.

  7. Press conference is publicly available. What to say? Some journalists are morons. Sergio has dislike to some of them and he was very sarcastic. The last sentence in the answer was: "We believe we will hit the target.".
  8. From press release: Interesting if true, that leaves place for closed deck design if necessary. This is first time they mentioned engine block in any car with GME T4.

  10. There is a place for improvement. But certainly FCA saved some money with 12" UConnect and no physical HVAC controls. And styling is for us Europeans not so good. But than take a look at Chevy with Chinese suorced interior and than you realize how RAM is actually very nice.
  11. And that's not all... Certainly FCA will announce more upcoming engines during press conference. You can watch it here at 15:05 Central European Time: https://livestream.com/FCALive/Ram2018NAIAS And here are all press conferences including the one where Sergio will answer numerous questions and reveal some future FCA plans: https://livestream.com/FCALive
  12. It's very hard to explain it. They will try to win it on size. And all products will be RWD based. For example CT6 with price is aiming at 5er. CT5 will aim at next gen 3er. And CT4 which will be ATS successor will aim at future 2er Gran Coupe.
  13. They will have both CT4 and CT5. One is coming out in 2019, and the smaller one in 2020.
  14. Yes, but they are next to each other. Same should be for the engine plants. Question is what will replace Heavy Duty trucks. Maybe small trucks?
