  1. But PSA way of doing thing and using their tech brought nothing good. If I'm not mistakes STLA fall of from almost 25% of combined market share at one moment to mere 16%. How is that good? I repeat. PSA was they one which according to some knows how to fix things and how to make cars in Europe. At the time I disagreed. Unfortunately I have right.
  2. Disagree. On engine side FCA has nothing to be shy about. The same about many electrification projects. Car platforms may be different but IMO ex PSA did nothing to further develop their platforms to suit FCA brands. Not to mention poor product planing. I'm stil wondering why is Peugeot 2008 out of all (6 in total) STLA B segments SUVs is the only one on the long wheelbase version of CMP platform. CMP platform offers poor packaging and making car on short wheelbase version makes them uncompetitive.
  3. Bare ha risposto a Osv in Jeep
Nice looking car but that's it. Basically a FWD only Jeep. It even doesn't have beloved Uconnect.
  4. Wow wow doesn't have P2 or P3 MHEV on Golf and sisters.
  5. 1.2 tCe LPG is both multipoint and direct injected.
  6. How they plan to sell it in US with such powertrain choice and without mechanical AWD?
  7. According to this site it's both GDI and MPI: https://www.auto-data.net/en/dacia-bigster-1.2-eco-g-140hp-lpg-53508 But also form what I remember from YouTube videos during Bigster's unveil many journalists said that's it's dual injection which only makes sense. Clio LPG should have 120 HP.
  8. @4200blu They can use Italian V6 if they want a proper QV. I would argue that V6 has more character than Inline 6.
  9. They need bigger and more powerful P2 MHEV or HEV, with better transmission than Punch. And of course they would need a diesel. I don't know if this platform can have a 4x4, classic 4x4. It's essential for American market.
  10. So basically... Car will grow in size on the outside but no on the inside... Engine choice will be poor with BEV first approach. It will be (prohibitively) expensive. What could go wrong with sales? Ehm.
  11. C3 and 208 have 1.6 from TU family.
  12. @diciottocavalli From what I understood EB2 indeed was chosen in Europe because of thinking that internal combustion engines would be soon death in Europe. If I got it right even internal analysis has shown that GSE would be a better choice in the long term. But... Speaking of diesel. 2.2 diesel for all car models is preferable, of course at various power levels and it's desirable to have it as aluminium engine block for passenger cars.
  13. I'll repeat myself. They had 1.5 turbo MHEV in house and ready... Cost cutting measures are taking their tool.
  14. Hmh, new 3008 has a very limited rear knee room, less than current Compass or Tonale. That's not good especially for US market. But it seems that STLA Medium has picked up the torch from EMP2. I.e. bad packaging.
  15. It seems that 1.2 Puretech always had a problem of fuel consumption at constant speeds higher than 110 km/h. Even French media tests always see this is a drawback. For example 1.0 tce consumes less in such scenarios.
  16. EB3 doesn't even shine on a highway at a constant speed? Where it shines? On test rig? Engine made for test cycle only?
  17. https://archive.ph/0aTb1 Stellantis NV is planning another shakeup of its management ranks as the automaker deepens its overhaul following the ouster of Chief Executive Officer Carlos Tavares, according to people familiar with the matter. Chief Software Officer Yves Bonnefont is stepping down from his role, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing internal matters. Linda Jackson, who has been in charge of the Peugeot brand, is also losing her role, the people said. Considered a Tavares protégé, Bonnefont has been in charge of the software business that was responsible for delays to key new models in the US and Europe, including an all-electric Ram pickup truck, the people said. Chief Engineering and Technology Officer Ned Curic will oversee software in the future as part of operations streamlining, they said.
  18. @Graziano68dt Cars on Medium are also tall and very wide with around 1.9meters in width. Do I need to repeat myself? They had perfectly fine 1.5 turbo on the shelves. They also had 2.0 turbo. French engines are IMO surplus. Not to mention reliability issues but above all image they have in many customers eyes.
