  1. Imagine the outcry if the next Giulia had such a clumsy profile. I'm really curious if Alpine succeeds.
  2. Doesn't say much without context. Is there a chart somewhere with comparison numbers? Junior shares the platform with Avenger/600/… but has its own chassis and steering setup. So that might be a disadvantage in this specific test. Other testers praised the driving behavior (also non-Veloce) to be best of class though. 🤔
  3. Doesn't look like they used it for the EX30 with horrible "screen-only" ergonomics.
  4. No matter how it looks, how are the market chances? EV-only model of a brand that only sold exotic sports cars in tiny numbers so far. This as a newcomer has to compete 1:1 with the Chinese.
  5. I like the general design, but the lights at front and rear appear very sleepy. And I hate the huge triangle at the C pillar. 🙂
  6. If the whole launches are postponed incl. BEV, do the current cars stay on the market until then – with all engines? There's certainly no MY updates to expect after this sudden change of plans. I just hope the BEV versions are not outdated when they finally arrive.
  7. French state and unions can not want too close ties between Stellantis and Renault because every shared project would obviously mean a reduction in needed French workforce. That would only make sense as the last rescue solution before lights go out.
  8. Has anybody heard about a Junior Q in the works? Allegedly a hybrid. This could match the Abarth ICE talk by Olivier.
  9. Must be priced under R5. Such a lazy masquerade, only a tad better than Tonale > Hornet.
  10. Where do you read your summary? According to the article they don't plan to sell their share, they just don't aim for a higher share.
  11. Why the heck should they? Stellantis has (e)Mini ready as BEV and installed in 2 factories. They just need updated battery tech. If they want to spread the platform, they could couple 500 with a new Opel Adam and Panda with a Citroën C1/C2. Here in Germany the 500 is bought most often as a 2nd car in the household. The perfect application for a BEV, when you have another car for travelling. Problem is only the price.
  12. Sorry, but I think it will be a flop in any case, after Lancias B segment (in reality rather A) only – selling in Italy only – history over many years. What sales numbers do you expect? My guess: 15k for the Ypsilon, 6k for the Gamma in the first full year.
  13. Is it the same system in DS4 and Compass? This one is still on the old platform. I don't know if fast loading is important for PHEV, but the range helps.
  14. New subsidies for BEV are coming with the new German government though. And the tech is more or less ready. Last but not least we can always hope for a general downshift of BEV prices at Stellantis. Stricter emission rules have not been cancelled.
  15. 4, on the market since early 2021. Just got a facelift. Why not? Maybe with more realistic pricing.
  16. Welcome to FIAT group! 😄 I'm not sure the original car had a design problem or that this MCA is better. That front radiator is still irritating. Just surprised there wasn't an electric version before.
  17. The separation of eMini projects between Mirafiori and Pomigliano is economic nonsense though.
  18. Are those platform names really official? So far Stellantis didn't rename unchanged existing platforms. Rather still eMini? And DS N°8 still could simply be STLA Medium or … MP2, mirroring the Large variants. If the 2030 500 stays on eMini/City I guess Mirafiori doesn't get STLA Small. And re-looking at the Italian plant map I see that the new battery for 500 was/is planned for 2025. Why do we think it doesn't come this year next to the Ibrida? secondo me Renegade should go to Pomigliano (next to compact Alfa) to keep Italian customers on board and the C-Cross Opel should go to Rüsselsheim if that plant gets STLA Small for the Astra anyway. Strengthening brand identity whenever possible.
  19. One has to repeat that "crossover" must not mean SUV, depending on context and language. Basically it just means type mix. Next Giulia: crossover between sedan and hatch like A5 and 4 series. But the DS No. 8 is only 158 cm tall instead of 164 cm of the 3008 or 162 of the current Tonale.
  20. Are we sure that the Alfa C segment will be a SUV crossover? secondo me next Tonale should be lower already (like new Stelvio) and the smaller C should be classic hatchback or a hatchback/coupé "crossover", to be US compatible (new GTV/Brera, like Imparato indicated). About this Facelift: Even if they would bring an exterior facelift, they didn't have to test those new elements in public. Only if airflow changed.
  21. I like it somehow. The egg logo was a mistake though. As the Peugeot shield, which is unrecognisable when small/far away.
  22. K0 is the medium (Scudo) van. K9 the small (Doblo) one, X250 the big (Ducato) one.
  23. Good decision. The Ypsilon is not strong enough to re-introduce the brand. I could imagine the reason is simply that not enough dealers wanted to invest in it, currently.
