  1. Jean-Pierre Ploué was also the Lancia design of head, right?
  2. They all had big plans to sell cars online, directly via website, and skip the dealers. Logically that didn't work with such expensive products. It's not like ordering an iPad. Now the dealers got more important again. I hope they invest in the network, specially in Alfa's thin one. But I agree, the configurators could be so much better.
  3. Junior has some different components and tuning than Avenger, for example more direct steering also in standard versions. No wonder way more Progresso shields are on the street so far, since all Speciales (= launch deliveries) have them. secondo me they should be selectable like wheels. Any info on MY26 changes?
  4. pumadog ha risposto a Osv in Opel
On the one hand it's boring to see the identical tech everywhere, on the other hand it's great that all the brands get a hot hatch again. But they must get the EV prices down.
  5. What do you know about components for Stelvio and Giulia, apart from the announced EDMs? I guess production for 2.0 GME T4 and (Nettuno) V6 will stay in Italy. I doubt the Polish trio has interior plastics from PSA sources. Wish it had.
  6. My harsh opinion: Nostalgia aside - common sense screams since years that it’s too late to rescue Lancia. At best it can be a local double brand with DS, like Vauxhall with Opel. Even more common sense says DS won’t make it as well. Will Ds8, Ds7 and Gamma combined reach 15,000 sales a year? Rather 10,000?
  7. So after all Italpassion was right and Ficili went from Maserati CEO to COO and Imparato is now CEO. https://www.stellantis.com/en/brands/maserati https://www.stellantis.com/content/dam/stellantis-corporate/brands/brand-ceo/bio/santo-ficili-en.pdf
  8. pumadog ha risposto a Osv in Abarth
They made very good, fun cars with Junior Veloce and Abarth 600. They are just way too expensive. And Abarth has the same BEV problem as Dodge: Brand image is set very much on hard & loud, while BEV are smooth & silent by nature. If they can't sell the planned 600s, they can get rid of the components with an Abarth Line for the Ibrida. 🙃
  9. They better benchmark the latest X1/X2, Q3, GLA/GLB than the potential 2,500 Gamma sales per year. 😜 But within Stellantis the premium brands should always be up to date in comparison to the mainstream brands.
  10. If yes, they don't have to test drive them in public. I hope for 1.6 HEV.
  11. It's hard to believe they present the new generation only 12 months after a "heavy facelift". Even if you add the usual six months between premiere and first deliveries it hurts sales of the old one. Would only make sense if the new one is BEV-only for some time.
  12. It works for me. I added a slash at the end if that helps. You should also find it here: https://www.topgear.com/car-news/interview/
  13. What do we make of this interview between Top Gear and Santo Ficili? It's no direct quote but the editor still expects the Stelvio BEV debut for end of this year. Last minute changes to the front for combustion engine cooling according to Ficili. “There will be PHEV and HEV and BEV.” And the deep facelift for Tonale late this year. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/interview/alfa-romeo-boss-quadrifoglio-can-be-bev-it-can-also-be-ice
  14. Ok then it's like I thought and blogs like Italpassion and Clubalfa claim wrong. I don't find a current brand CEO matrix at stellantis.com
  15. pumadog ha risposto a Osv in Fiat
According to the German press release the car is now always called Pandina. The website doesn't reflect that though. Stupid name for non-Italian markets. List price close to 17k (too high!) but offered for 13k.
  16. So what has actually changed from MC20? I need a side-by-side. And did Imparato really become CEO of Maserati and Ficili COO or was this a misunderstanding by some media because Imparato is STLA Europe COO and therefore involved?
  17. In Germany the 500 will sell as 2nd cars and to women like it always did, just needs a new advertising push to get the word out.
  18. 1. It was simply too expensive. Might be better now, but too late for the reception. 2. Frontend design is an ugly Frankenstein, rest doesn't match Dodge image. 3. The knowledge that it's badge engineering.
  19. But do people know? They should adjust the list prices and do proper advertising. If the list price is high it won't be included in any "BEV to buy under 25k" list or press comparison.
  20. I can't believe personal taste of one person is the only reason for such a major delay of a critical project. The original design has been approved by the team after all. Big money has been spent. There must be other aspects to it. Maybe different shortcomings came together and they said: ok, it's not competitive yet. We'll move it behind Giulia and do it right. Or they want to sync it with Maserati? I hope the picture gets clear and logical when we see the new brand/industrial plan with facts and not only rumours.
  21. I still don't understand why the battery update hasn't arrived already. Even if they bet 100% on BEV when developing the 500e, they must have planned updates from the get go? Olivier François should keep his face out of cameras regarding his mismanagement with this. He planned wrong under FCA and kept the same route under STLA.
  22. But if they really intended to bring out more Alfas in 2017, 2018, 2019 — did they even start to develop them? Or was the best-case scenario "let's see how Giulia and Stelvio sell and then green light the next model so it's ready in > 2020"?
