  1. Hmh, from what I've looked DS7 is compared to Audi Q3 and not against Q5... So Alfa Tonale will be its competitor.
  2. Maybe they'll receive Level 2+. That's something. AFAIK no one offers Level 3.

  4. Let's say that B SUV is wrong in a case in which it's based on a Mini platform and with around 4 meters in length. With Small Wide platform and around 4.25 meters in length it could be a perfect fit and replacement for Giulietta. Such car is a good product even otuside of Italy. But FCA and above all Alfa has a major drawback. Very weak sales network outside of Italy. Lack of models is related to this.
  5. In my opinion 4 meters long SUV is only good for Italian market and it will a disaster outside of Italy. Just look at where are all going with B segment SUVs, all except VW. Most modern B SUVs are 4.2-4.3 meters long.
  6. Some rumors for Tonale in Detroit 2020. That's in June. The same month as 110th Alfa's birthday. It's also true that some FCA employees from various EU countries have an invitation for Alfa Romeo birthday on June 24th in Italy.
  7. Every European non-premium PSA and FCA brand will be very important for their domicile market. I.e. Pug and Citroen in France, Vauxhall/Opel in UK and Germany, Fiat in Italy...
  8. Italian production start with pre-MCa model but MCa will come shortly after. They are doing similar operation as when Cherokee has switched over to Belvidere.
  9. Toyota HEV is an obolete technology but they have invested so much into it that they must keep offering it. The near future is the fleet combined with a P2 MHEV and PHEV. Actually some suppliers as for example Continental are already calling some future P2 MHEV as a P2 48V HEV. In the next 2 years we will see a lot of P2 MHEVs with 25 (Getrag and ZF) or 30 (Continental) kW electric motor. That's 34 to 41 HP.
  10. To me it seems like a dedicated "skateboard" BEV platform. It has independent rear suspension. FCA has a lot of interesting new patents for rear suspension. Just compare it to eCMP which has rigid axle at the back. LOL https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/detail.jsf?docId=US251637261&_cid=P11-K13NKY-98968-1 https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/detail.jsf?docId=US251637222&_cid=P11-K13NKY-98968-1 https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/detail.jsf?docId=US251637217&_cid=P11-K13NKY-98968-1 https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/detail.jsf?docId=US251637218&_cid=P11-K13NKY-98968-1
  11. @lukka1982 All Unions from Italy gave this information. All of them mentioned 1.5 engine. All, not just one. So... 1.5 engine talk is much older, at least year or year and a half old, maybe even older. 2018 Vienna Motor Symposium. I hope I got the right name. Back then FCA engineers gave all technicalities about new GSE turbo engines, namely GSE T3 and GSE T4. They said that Alfa Romeo will receive version with twin scroll turbocharger. As I'm aware there is no twin scroll turbocharger for engines smaller than 1.5 liters.
  12. @lukka1982 No 1.5.on the engine list? Are we sure that rear suspension will be MacPherson and not multilink?
  13. It still looks like a powertrain mule.
  14. 4C pumped? LOL You can troll better that that. Carbon fiber monocoque is surely more advanced than aluminium spaceframe. Actually I'm wondering why is Ferrari still pushing with aluminium spaceframe with such a low volume production and with a lot of dedicated platforms.
  15. All Unions have given press release for new engines. There will be 1.5. Most of them are saying it's turbocharged engine which will be made exclusively in Melfi. And they are not retiring 1.3. At least not anytime soon.
  16. AFAIK in the near future FCA will start GSE production in Kokomo, Indiana.
  17. @stev66 Killing 1.3 doesn't make sense. Or killing any GSE/Firefly especially if 1.5 is coming. Why? GSE or engines from a single family can kill both 1.2 and 1.5 from PSA which are from two different engine families. So GSE and GME for the new Group.
