Auto dell'Anno 2025
If you look at the website and check the voting system and huge jury, it's no wonder that the winning cars are not special exotics but rather common denominators: https://www.caroftheyear.org/

Jaguar 4-doors GT BEV 2027 (Spy)
Could be cool. But not launched in 2025. Official word is 2026.

500 doesn't need an exterior style update, but they should use the occasion for a marketing bang. Some interior updates, latest infotainment. I hope they can get the Elettrica ready for summer 2025. They can launch it then with a late '25 Ibrida delivery. And with more competition (R5, Twingo and upcoming VAG models …) they should lower the price for the extra door.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio II 2028 - Prj. 951/A5U (Notizie)
According to Mesonero (at Junior interviews) the design will be an evolution from model to model. Keeping the 3+3 signature in different forms. And he spoke about a closed Scudetto for the EV models, containing the ADAS. Maybe they have to change that plan if MHEV or REX versions come.

I prossimi modelli Fiat e Abarth
I don't think that Peugeot has priority. They just had ongoing product development when ex. FCA Italy needs time to catch up because it was dormant. You seem to forget the long development phase. And I don't get why people think that Opel is lower than Peugeot. They go head to head for different tastes. Exception is the Frontera, but Opel always had a cheap entry level (Agila, Karl) like also VW (Fox, Up) had. Why do the crossovers from Poland share more visible parts than C3/GPanda? Because they are a FCA/Manley project, who also thought the Tonale/Hornet doublet was a great idea.

Alpine A290 2024
The German Motor1 tester is pretty disappointed by the driving characteristics: https://de.motor1.com/reviews/739903/alpine-a290-test-leistung-preise/ He loves the design, but gives only 6.5/10 points in contrast to the 9.0/10 of the R5: https://insideevs.de/reviews/736829/renault-5-electric-2024-test/

MINI Aceman 2024
The new base Minis are totally naked. You can‘t even pick a color. Try configuring. Edit: It seems like they pulled the prices down. Last time I checked the Aceman, you had to pick a 4000 € trim to get some decent options. Now you can start with the Classic Trim. I'd pick the SE (for 400 km range) with pack M and end up with 40,700 €. So quite cheaper than the Alfa Junior with Premium and Tech packs.

Opel Mokka Facelift 2025
Compared the press release with the current price list from the German website. STLA marketing = Olivier François 😛 It's premium when you buy the premium package = speciale. 🙃 The entry level of the Mini Cooper doesn't feel premium and the entry level of the Mito was not premium either. It's more about the offered options. The Junior Ibrida is priced very sharply against similar equipped competitors like Ford Puma, VW T-Cross etc. Just the Elettrica is too expensive.

Scelte strategiche gruppo Stellantis NV
Stellantis is in a rather good position for the upcoming rules, compared to other European carmakers. But I expect price cuts (or special offers) for all the e-CMP and e-EMP cars for 2025. Also, Germany is likely to introduce some EV promotion again. Any news about the new BEV version of the 500?

No surprise about the Tonale. Remember "Alfa Romeo is Alfa E-Romeo from 2027". Not possible with the current generation. Good they won't have a generation gap (to 2028 or 2029) again. So no changes with the Alfa plans (yet). And the final decision for the E-segment still to be made at the end of this year, according to an other interview.
