If the switch from EB2 Gen 2 to Gen 3 didn't happen already, it will now. As for every new or updated model after mid (?) 2023. I'm most interested in interiour changes. Will it get new door cards or at least softer plastics, less shared switchgear? If so, will the siblings get the changes early? And will the Tychy BEV trio get a battery update like the EMP2 cars recently got?

Too bad they have absolutely no concept for FIAT in the USA. When they started it was "copy MINI". But FIAT never did the necessary investments and expansion. If Alfa gets the C model an STLA Small and the next Tonale right, they'd have four models for the market, even without E segment. If tariffs allow.

But if production during start-up is simply slower for the same output, couldn't that cross over the border from three to two shifts when everything runs fine and you don't need the full capacity? That said, I don't want to claim that sales of the trio don't slow down, It's just another factor.

Who says that? The article only mentions "the products" as a unit. But if it is, it would be the normal turn of every modern Alfa: Highest sales in the first full year, then sinking. What Stellantis really needs to address without a doubt are the high list prices of the BEV versions. Only sellable with high rebates against cheaper competitors. Lower entry prices and bring 1.6 MHEV and 210 hp BEV for the mid-range. And bring new door cards for better quality feel ASAP. In general I think you need more manpower for the launch phase than for the continued production. Could be totally normal.

JPI — is he really leading Maserati? Or rather a honorary CEO? I only see Santo Ficili in action. Apart from that, did JPI do harm to Alfa? The focus on BEV that leads to delays now was company mandate under Tavares, the Tonale on old platform was done already. How much freedom does a brand CEO have, when he's dependent on group platforms, powertrains, electronics?

I don't think Leapmotor has much more to offer than electric power modules and batteries. For sure not mechanics or driving dynamics. It was FCA that decided to stop developing anything except 500e in the mid 2010s. I still miss any proof that STLA Small is based on CMP though.

I like the interior apart from the two free-standing screens. Nice fabric, nice layout and seats. But why not a hood for the instruments. Keep in mind that this is the top version. Probably 35–40,000+. The entry level might look drastically different.

If it offers more than a 25k Big Panda the Fiat prices have to adapt. Has to be seen though. Could be very bare bone. I hope STLA Small SP1 (208/Corsa) will offer 500 km WLTP. Do you think they'll also get entry-level ranges or is that left to Smart Car?

Great marketing by VW as always. They are building up excitement for a product like the 2nd coming of Christ that doesn't really offer more than existing competitors. Maybe the engines are a bit more economical and the loading is a bit faster than the CMPs and R5. ID Polo has the same height as Alfa Junior by the way, just not labeled as a SUV. Strange that the GTI has only a tiny bit more power than the next version. The price of the longer range versions will be crucial. That's where Stellantis fails. I'm sure it will be a solid success because of big brand trust, marketing, network and fleet contracts.

Seems to be a well researched article, while nothing shocking in there. While much needed mainstream models like the Smart Car family or Jeep Cherokee were started under Tavares already, the product outcome by Filosa will take time to shine. So true, the curse of small market share. And a reason why Alfa needs the B segment and unnecessary brand fragmentation should be corrected.
