La Sport Concept si distingue per un bodykit sportivo, un paraurti anteriore ridisegnato. Anche il paraurti posteriore ha ricevuto aggiornamenti, tra cui un rivestimento in stile diffusore rifinito in nero lucido, completato da un sottile spoiler posteriore. Il concept è rivestito in una tonalità esterna in acciaio opaco proveniente dalla Corolla GR , con alcuni pannelli della carrozzeria decorati con un rivestimento in tessuto in stile carbonio. I cerchi in lega da 21 pollici in stile BBS con pneumatici Michelin Pilot Sport S da 245/40R21. La sospensione invece è stata abbassata di 20 mm.

The next electric drive generation for the ID. family is now being launched. With the new APP550 rear-wheel drive, Volkswagen’s electric model family will receive a completely newly developed power unit. In future, this will offer higher performance combined with improved efficiency for the ID. models. The ID. family will therefore benefit both in terms of power and increased range. Volkswagen is planning to deliver the first vehicles with the new drive generation in a 210 kW (286 PS) version from the end of the year. The design basis for the new drive remains the modular electric drive (MEB) matrix, Volkswagen’s vehicle architecture tailored specifically for electric models. Karsten Bennewitz, Head of Powertrain and Energy Systems in Development: “Because the available space has not changed, we were compelled to develop a new drive that achieves significant improvements in performance and efficiency in spite of being subject to the same constraints. That was a great challenge for the team of Technical Development and Group Components. The result shows that we were able to reduce the use of raw materials, while at the same time achieving a considerable increase in vehicle efficiency.” More power and significantly more torque The new powertrain has an output of 210 kW (286 PS) with a maximum torque of around 550 Nm – depending on the vehicle’s gear ratio. The significantly higher torque in particular ensures superior power development – both from standstill and at higher speeds. The new APP550 electric drive achieves its high torque thanks to an enhanced stator with a higher effective number of windings and a larger wire cross-section. The rotor as its counterpart is equipped with more powerful permanent magnets that has a higher load capacity. The drive was also reinforced to withstand the considerable torques produced. Inverter delivers high currents The current is a decisive factor for the power of an electric drive. As a further important component, the inverter was developed so that it is able to supply the high phase currents needed for greater power and efficiency. It acts as the controlling “brain” in the powertrain whose functional software ensures efficient system processes. This applies to the clock frequencies and the modulation methods for generation of the alternating current for the electric drive motor, for example. The drive motor can therefore operate more efficiently, depending on the load phase. Optimised thermal management through intelligent cooling In order to increase the efficiency of the electric drive, Volkswagen optimised a number of components in the powertrain, including the thermal management system. The new drive therefore has an energy-saving cooling system that operates without an electrically driven oil pump. The system is able to independently cool itself via the gear wheels of the gearbox and specially formed components for oil supply and distribution. The heated oil is cooled by the vehicle’s coolant circuit, which keeps the drive at operating temperature. The outside of the stator is equipped with a water heat sink. Volkswagen Kassel as the production centre for the electric powertrain The drive system with gearbox, rotor and stator will be produced at the Volkswagen Group Components plant in Kassel. Alexander Krick, Head of Technical Development E-Drive, Power Electronics & Transmission at Group Components: “We have been developing electric drive motors and their gearboxes for 15 years now, and have also been producing them here at our location for over 10 years.” Product and process innovations in the electric drive motor and gearbox result in a significant increase in efficiency and performance. Krick: “Drawing on our many years of experience, we optimised the overall system through, among other things, the use of special electrical sheets and customised machining processes, and were thus able to significantly increase efficiency.”

Obiettivo di Volkswagen: nel 2025 una EV a 25mila Euro. Fattibile? Sì se si utilizza una vettura molto simile alle GOLF (ma che è basata sulla piattaforma MEB debitamente accorciata) equipaggiata con un singolo motore elettrico da 226 CVp / 166 kWp che le consente di scattare da ferma e raggiungere i 100 km/h in meno di 7 secondi, lo stesso tempo di una attuale Golf GTI. Le dimensioni? 4,05 metri di lunghezza, 2.6 metri di passo e molto spazio interno, con un vano bagagli di 440 litri. Proprio all'interno la strumentazione si basa di due tablet formato lettera da 10.9" per il quadro strumenti e 12.9 pollici per l'infotelematica. La batteria non ha una capacità dichiarata, ma Volkswagen dichiara che è possibile avere un range WLTP di circa 450 km con una singola carica e che può accettare potenze di ricarica fino a 170 kW (il caricatore di bordo è da 11 kW)

Inoltre, i proiettori fendinebbia, che compongono una specie di lettera X, sono integrati nella griglia inferiore e sono visibili anche gli splendidi cerchi in lega che espongono le pinze dei freni rosse. I cerchi in lega hanno una dimensione di 17 pollici. Opzionalmente ci sono circa 18 e 19 pollici. Lasciando da parte l'esterno, se ci avventuriamo all'interno, la prima cosa che troveremo sarà una caratteristica tappezzeria in cui le cuciture sono rosse. Il volante sportivo multifunzione ha tre raggi e ci sono dettagli in rosso. I pedali sono realizzati in acciaio inossidabile. L'equipaggiamento di serie è davvero completo. Ha un sistema di accesso e avviamento senza chiave, fari a LED, Bluetooth, chiusura centralizzata, alzacristalli elettrici, quadro strumenti digitale ed un lungo elenco di sistemi di assistenza alla guida. Tra le altre funzioni abbiamo il cruise control adattivo, l'assistente per il mantenimento delle corsie e il sistema di sorveglianza anteriore Front Assist con rilevamento dei pedoni. Il telaio ha un set point specifico per migliorare le prestazioni della vettura. La sospensione adattiva è la chiave. Inoltre, è disponibile un selettore della modalità di guida che ci consente di scegliere tra i seguenti profili: Comfort, Eco, Sport e Individual. La presa di ricarica si trova sul pannello anteriore laterale, mentre dietro abbiamo un interessante spoiler sul tetto. Lo scarico è nascosto. Lasciando da parte l'esterno, se ci avventuriamo all'interno della nuova Golf GTE saremo circondati da un ambiente con un tocco di sportività. Evidenzia il volante sportivo con tre raggi blu. Dobbiamo anche fare una menzione speciale ai sedili sportivi con un rivestimento che mostra le cuciture in blu per creare contrasto. In modalità completamente elettrica, la nuova Golf GTE può percorrere circa 60 chilometri e la velocità massima sarà di 130 km / h. Nel caso in cui la batteria abbia una carica sufficiente, la Golf GTE si avvierà in modalità "E-Mode". Cioè, in modalità elettrica al 100%. Sarà disponibile da Luglio 2020 e sarà presente al Salone di Ginevra. A livello estetico, ha una relazione molto stretta con il resto dei modelli GT della gamma Golf. E, le differenze rispetto a Golf GTI e Golf GTE sono minime . Ha una serie di fari a LED e, lungo il cofano, una linea sottile si estende sulla parte anteriore, che, nel caso della Golf GTD, è argento. Se la luce di marcia diurna è attivata, una banda LED sul proiettore accompagna la linea d'argento. Si accende anche la griglia del radiatore. Un altro dettaglio caratteristico della nuova generazione della Golf GTD è la grande griglia di ingresso dell'aria inferiore senza divisioni con un design a nido d'ape. Il tutto circondato da appliques nere. Di serie sono montati cerchi in lega da 17 pollici . Opzionalmente puoi optare per ruote da 18 o 19 pollici. E terminando il nostro tour all'estero nella parte posteriore, troveremo uno spoiler sul tetto e gruppi ottici posteriori a LED. Ha anche un sistema di scarico con due uscite sul lato sinistro. Il nuovo concept di Renault anticipa un'innovativa piattaforma che permette di combinare un pacco batteria da 40 kW con 16 kW di celle a combustibile. Il risultato sono 800 km con una sola pausa di pochi minuti per fare il pieno di idrogeno e una migliore sostenibilità, grazie a delle batterie più piccole. La sostenibilità è accentuata dal mix di materiali riciclati e riciclabili (che costituiscono il 95% dei materiali totali), che Renault vorrebbe portare in produzione come standard entro il 2030. Lunga 449 cm e con un passo di 283 cm, la vettura anticipa la nuova Scénic E-Tech che uscirà nel 2024 basata sulla piattaforma CMF-EV della Mégane E-Tech. Jean-Michel Jarre is an artist and also an engineer, he has constantly linked technology and creation. This is very close to how Renault has always seen innovation. JMJ is also highy involved into protecting the environment as a UNESCO ambassador since 1993 (on environment and education topics). The collaboration with Jean-Michel Jarre started in the early days of making Scénic Vision, precisely on the acoustics and signal processing. The artist teamed up with the design team in order to shape the sound signature of the concept-car, following the idea of “caring for the resources” with a “less is more” approach with only 1 loudspeaker on each door and the soundbubble system on every headrest. Scénic Vision sets the beginning of a close collaboration with Jean-Michel Jarre. The artist will be an ambassador of the Renault brand, working with the teams on future solutions to be included into the product lineup. Caring for the resources Eco-design and short loops 70% of the materials used in the vehicle are recycled and over 95% of the vehicle is recyclable, including the battery. The floor of the vehicle was composed by agglomerating plastic scraps from other sources (milk bottles, plastic pipes, etc.). On the whole vehicle, 30% of the plastic is biosourced. The vehicle's fittings are made of recycled carbon from the aeronautical industry. A detta di alcuni articoli, pare che siano molto piü concreti di altre proposte (dicono che abbiano iniziato a lavorare al progetto anni fa e che abbiano aspettato di essere nelle fasi finali per rivelare i veicoli). In ogni caso non si vedranno su strada prima di un paio d'anni. Pacchi batterie tra i 100 ed i 180 kWh, fino a 400 miglia di autonomia ed hanno curato le capacità fuoristradistiche. Esteticamente sono entrambi molto interessanti, secondo me.
