Mazda’s MX-30 Rotary Range Extender Has Been Put On Hold Mazda has for quite some time promised that its famed rotary engine would return in the form of a range extender, but that plan may now take longer to become a reality than initially planned. The Japanese car manufacturer planned to launch a new range-extender version of the electric MX-30 in the first half of 2022 with a particular focus on the U.S. and European markets. However, local media reports out of Japan assert that Mazda has ditched plans to launch a range-extender version of the MX-30 as it would require the fitment of a larger battery pack that would make the vehicle too expensive. In a statement issued to Auto News, Mazda spokesman Masahiro Sakata said the automaker could still use its new rotary engine as a range extender in the future. “We are still considering using rotary engine as a range extender, but the timing of its introduction is undecided,” he said. Ad agosto andremo in Sicilia 10 gg e, una volta lì, ci sposteremo con un veicolo a noleggio. Dieci giorni fa abbiamo prenotato il mezzo, ma ora la compagnia (Hertz) dice che il veicolo - per il quale abbiamo già pagato - non è disponibile causa difficoltà nelle forniture e dobbiamo effettuare un'altra prenotazione. Rosico non poco, perché avevamo trovato una buona offerta: 280 euro per un veicolo commerciale tipo Fiorino, contro i 750 di una Panda. Ho il sospetto che abbiano disdetto per farci andare su una vettura a loro più redditizia, ma è una teoria basata sul nulla. La domanda è: possono disdire così di punto in bianco senza nemmeno offrire una compensazione (o quantomeno un veicolo allo stesso prezzo)? Loro dicono che devo essere io a disdire, e non che la prenotazione è decaduta... e se non disdicessi?
Cosa suggeriresti in questo caso? Preciso che non ho l'ambizione di diventare ricco come Bezos, ma è da un pò che coltivo l'idea di investire oggi qualche migliaio d'euro nella speranza che fra X anni ciò mi permetta di togliermi un bello sfizio
