Consigli per gli acquisti: Mitsubishi Lancer

Salve a tutti Prima di tutto mi complimento..Gran bel forum e sopratutto molto utile

Volevo porvi alcune domande sulla scelta di un auto che a me piace davvero tanto ma purtoppo non ho modo ne di provarla ne di vederla dal vivo

comunque l' auto e la lancer 1.8 berlina (non sportback) che ne pensate della motorizzazione mivec?

ho trovato solo pareri purtroppo discordanti.. non so che pensare..

Ciao Alex, purtroppo come scritto da Mansell, l'auto in questione è rara come un ago nel pagliaio ! da quel che so dei Mivec, comunque sono motori validi, dicono un pò assetati forse.

si riferiscono alla lancer saloon in generale, ma ci sono note circa il 1.8

Performance

The 1.8 isn’t very quick, especially with an auto gearbox, although it is quieter at motorway speeds. The diesel engine is an ageing VW-sourced 138bhp 2.0-litre, it has strong mid-range punch, even if it's rather lifeless at low revs.

Ride & Handling

The Lancer is an easy car to drive, if not a particularly entertaining one. There's a decent amount of grip, but the steering is too light in bends and the body leans over more than it should. This wouldn't be so bad if the Lancer had a cosseting ride, but it doesn't - you'll be jiggled around in your seat at most speeds.

Refinement

The Lancer's cabin is far from peaceful. Wind noise isn't too much of an issue, but there's plenty of road noise, even at low speeds. The engines are the biggest annoyance, though. The petrols sound wheezy and overstrained, especially the 1.8 when combined with the CVT gearbox, while the diesel chugs away noisily and sends vibrations through the main controls.

Buying & Owning

The Lancer is very well priced in comparison with other small saloons, especially when you consider the amount of kit you get for your cash. However, resale values aren't likely to be spectacular and the fuel economy is a touch disappointing. Carbon dioxide emissions are higher than many rivals', too, so the Lancer doesn't make a huge amount of sense as a company car, either.

Quality & Reliability

3 out of 5 stars

A high standard of assembly gives the Lancer a rock-solid feel, and if Mitsubishi's steady record for mechanical reliability is anything to go by, this should translate into years of trouble-free motoring. While the interior plastics are chunky and hard-wearing, they don't have the tactile appeal and smart appearance of those in a Ford Focus or Volkswagen Jetta.

Safety & Security

5 out of 5 stars

All Lancer saloons have an excellent roster of safety kit. Twin front, side and curtain airbags are provided, along with another two 'bags designed to protect the driver's knees. Importantly, stability control is also standard across the board. All Lancers protect themselves with an alarm, immobiliser and deadlocks.

Behind The Wheel

Mitsubishi has taken a keep-it-simple approach to the Lancer's dashboard. The amount of switchgear has been kept to a minimum, giving the dash a clear, uncluttered layout. The driver's seat has two-way adjustment, but the steering wheel doesn't move for reach. Most drivers will easily find a comfortable driving position, though.

Space & Practicality

3 out of 5 stars

The Lancer provides good cabin space compared with its family hatchback competition. Front-seat occupants won't want for space in any direction, and although headroom is a wee bit tight in the back, there's lots of space for long legs. The saloon's boot is a decent size, but intruding wheelarches make it annoyingly narrow, and the narrow opening means it doesn't have the easy access of a hatchback.

Equipment

All four-door Lancers get a sporty look thanks to a bodykit, alloy wheels, foglamps and privacy glass. GS3 models also have sports suspension and climate control. If you want luxuries such as heated leather seats, sat-nav and a stereo with a 30GB hard drive and iPod socket, go for the range-topping GS4.
