Presentata per la prima volta al Salone Internazionale dell'Automobile di Ginevra 2018 con quella che allora sembrava un'impossibile potenza di 1.914 CV e 2360 Nm di coppia, l'hypercar elettrica C_Two di Rimac è stata finalmente svelata in veste di produzione. C_Two è sempre stato un nome in codice per il progetto e martedì Rimac ha rivelato il nome definitivo dell'auto come Nevera. Secondo Rimac, il nome deriva da una tempesta mediterranea che può apparire improvvisamente al largo della costa della Croazia, il paese in cui ha sede Rimac e sta costruendo una nuova sede e un campus tecnologico. La Nevera avrà una modalità di derapata e una tecnologia avanzata di assistenza alla guida che fungerà da allenatore di guida sui circuiti e offrirà alcune capacità di guida autonoma. Il driver coach, che sarà disponibile come aggiornamento via etere nel 2022, si basa su 12 sensori a ultrasuoni, 13 telecamere e sei radar e fornisce una sovrapposizione visiva dello schermo di infotainment di brani popolari insieme a una guida audio per aiutarti a perfezionare l'accelerazione, la frenata e la sterzata. Il risultato è un'auto che sprinterà a 96 km/h da fermo in 1,85 secondi, supererà il quarto di miglio in 8,6 secondi e alla fine raggiungerà il massimo a 415 km/h. Anche i miglioramenti aerodinamici sono stati una delle principali aree di interesse, con un miglioramento del 34% dell'efficienza aerodinamica rispetto al concetto originale. Anche l'efficienza di raffreddamento è stata migliorata. Comprende la struttura per la batteria, in questo caso un'unità a forma di H da 120 kWh, nonché il controtelaio posteriore e gli inserti di supporto in alluminio. Il peso della monoscocca è di circa 200 kg, e Rimac vanta inoltre l'intera struttura è la più rigida di qualsiasi auto mai realizzata. La distribuzione del peso per la Nevera è quasi ideale 48/52. Le consegne dovrebbero ora iniziare entro la fine dell'anno, con il CEO di Rimac che prevede di testare personalmente ciascuna delle auto prima che vengano approvate. Il primo modello della sub famiglia Hyundai di vetture elettriche basate sulla piattaforma dedicata e-GMP è la IONIQ 5, derivata dal Concept 45. L’auto, il cui stile pesca a piene mani dal concept, ha diversi primati e spunti interessanti, uno su tutti il sistema di ricarica a 800 V con ricarica dal 10% all’ 80% in soli 18 minuti e la possibilità di equipaggiare l’auto con pannelli solari posti sul tetto per una massima cura dell’ambiente. Altra novità, il trattamento dei LED a mo’ di Pixels: sono ben 256 e fanno tanto concept e tanta scena. IONIQ 5 è enorme: ha un passo di 3 metri, più di quanto offerto dalla gigante Palisade, una lunghezza totale di 4,63 mt, è larga 1,89m e alta 1,60m. Gli interni, che godono del pavimento piatto, sono realizzati per buona parte in materiali riciclati e i sedili sono ampiamente reclinabili e scorrevoli al fine di sfruttare al meglio lo spazio disponibile. Using front view camera, radar sensors and navigation data, HDA 2 works to control the vehicle speed and following distance, while keeping the vehicle centered in its lane. It can also assist the driver when changing a lane. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) can detect a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist and can help avoid a collision with any one of them. It includes Junction Turning, Junction Crossing and/or Lane-Changing Oncoming. FCA with Junction Turning activates the brakes if it detects oncoming traffic when the driver is turning left at an intersection. FCA with Junction Crossing senses vehicles approaching from the side when the driver is going straight through an intersection. FCA with Lane-Change Oncoming makes switching lanes safer. If FCA senses an approaching car that has crossed the center line when the driver is changing lines, it automatically assists with avoidance steering, if there is no danger of secondary accidents. If a potential secondary accident is detected, FCA will only produce a warning. Other semi-autonomous driving features include Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), which adjusts vehicle speed to match the speed limit, and High Beam Assist (HBA), which automatically turns high beams on and off to avoid blinding oncoming drivers. IONIQ 5 has several driver attention-related functions to ensure safety at all times by detecting if the driver is drowsy or distracted. Driver Attention Warning (DAW) displays the driver’s attention level and provides a warning when signs of driver inattentiveness are detected. DAW sounds a warning if the vehicle remains stopped for a long period of time (such as at a traffic signal) and the driver doesn’t react quickly enough when the vehicle ahead starts moving. Several functions work in tandem to help avoid collisions in a variety of driving situations. Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) helps avoid collisions at the rear side of the vehicle by using radar to detect other vehicles and applies differential braking, when necessary. BCA is particularly useful in situations such as changing lanes or exiting from parallel parking. Another function, Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), uses a camera to show the driver views to the left and the right of the vehicle on the cluster screen if the driver indicates to change lanes. IONIQ 5 also assures the safety of backseat passengers with Safe Exit Assist (SEA), which helps keep the rear doors closed by maintaining the electronic child lock when there is oncoming traffic. A variety of parking assistance features make parking in a variety of circumstances easier than before. Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) allows the driver to remotely park or exit a parking spot from outside the vehicle. This feature works for both parallel and perpendicular parking and can be activated via a button on the vehicle’s smart key. Non ci sono odori o liquidi che possano mettere in allarme i passeggeri, i soccorritori o chi dovesse avvicinarsi al mezzo. Eventualmente ci si potrebbe accorgere di cavi alimentati scoperti ma il pericolo potrebbe venire anche dai moduli della batteria in corto circuito con la carrozzeria. Oltretutto le batterie sono spesso altamente infiammabili, e non si tratta di un incendio facile da spegnere: occorrerebbe un estintore a CO2, che però richiede di avvicinarsi per avere efficacia.

Dal concept al modello di serie...la Nissan Ariya che tra ispirazione dal Concept IMX e dalla Nissan Rogue. Lungo 4.595 metri, Largo 1.85, con passo di 2.775 metri ed una altezza di 1.66 metri, sarà disponibile con motori elettrici sull'asse anteriore o su entrambi gli assi, così da avere una trazione integrale elettrica.sarò disponibile. La variante a motore singolo 2WD offrirà 160 kW / 218 CV e 300 Nm di coppia mentre, in configurazione a doppio motore AWD arriverà a ben 290 kW / 394 CV e 600 Nm. In termini di prestazioni, le varianti AWD avranno bisogno di circa sette secondi e mezzo per completare la corsa 0-100 km / h prima di raggiungere il massimo a 160 km / h. Il più veloce di tutti con il doppio motore farà lo sprint in 5,1 secondi e raggiungerà i 200 km / h. Sulla base della stima fatta da Nissan, l'Ariya offrirà fino a circa 483 chilometri di autonomia negli Stati Uniti. Tale numero sarà applicabile per la variante a lunga percorrenza a due ruote motrici con il pacco batterie da 90 kWh che ha una capacità utilizzabile di 87 kWh. Ci sarà anche una batteria più piccola da 65 kWh di cui sarai in grado di utilizzare 63 kWh. La scelta della AWD andrà ad impattare sul vano bagagli che passa da 467 litri a 413 litri. Dotato di doppi display da 12,3 pollici e Apple CarPlay e Android Auto wireless standard, Ariya integrerà anche Alexa e offrirà supporto per gli aggiornamenti over-the-air: una novità per una Nissan. Conterrà inoltre gli ultimi sviluppi dell'azienda in merito ai sistemi di sicurezza, con ProPILOT Assist 2.0 che offre la guida a mani libere in determinate condizioni. Morris Commercial era la divisione della Morris Motor destinata alla produzione di commerciali e camion. Il marchio (legato a quello MG) era di proprietà della SAiC ma nel 2016 venne venduto ad una start up inglese finanziata sia da cinesi che dallo stato inglese per lo sviluppo di veicoli a zero emissioni. Dopo alcuni anni ecco il primo prototipo semi definitivo del JE, che si ispira direttamente al Morris J Type anni 50. Il target sono poste e commercianti oltre che tassisti. Akira Marumoto, CEO di Mazda, ha confermato che dal 2022 sarà in vendita una versione della MX-30 dotata di range extender basato sul motore rotativo Wankel, per estendere l’autonomia elettrica che attualmente è di 200 Km. La MX-30 infatti monta un pacco batterie di soli 35 Kwh, poiché la filosofia di Mazda è quella di ridurre le emissioni di CO2 in tutto il ciclo di vita dell’auto, una batteria più piccola significa meno peso, quindi meno dispendio di energia, e meno emissioni di CO2 per la produzione delle batterie. Nonostante 200 Km siano sufficienti per la maggior parte degli spostamenti quotidiani, l’ansia da autonomia rimane un freno determinante per l’acquisto di un’auto elettrica, per cui un piccolo e leggero range extender può essere la soluzione di emergenza quando non sia disponibile una colonnina di ricarica, non si abbia tempo di ricaricare o si voglia fare un viaggio più lungo del solito. Al momento Mazda non ha rilasciato dati tecnici, ma in giro si parla di un’autonomia di almeno 320 Km con l’utilizzo del range extender. In realtà i brevetti e gli schemi diffusi da Mazda, mostrano la possibilità di declinare il sistema in funzione della maturità di un determinato mercato, nei paesi dove l’elettrico è ancora poco supportato il Wankel funzionerà da generatore in modalità ibrido serie, dando una mano alla trazione elettrica, un po’ come avviene nel sistema Honda, che però utilizza un tradizionale 4 cilindri, invece di un più semplice leggero e compatto motore rotativo. Dalle immagini diffuse l’anno scorso si vede che il Wankel è costituito da un solo rotore, posizionato all’interno di un sandwich elettrico, accoppiato a sinistra con il motore elettrico di trazione, per un eventuale utilizzo ibrido serie, e a destra con il generatore. Qui sotto il video in giapponese, dove dal minuto 7:30 Marumoto parla della MX-30 col range extender Wankel nel 2022.

Genesis ha finalmente rilasciato le specifiche tecniche della sua GV60, primo crossover elettrico basato sulla piattaforma e-GMP del gruppo Hyundai Motors. Sarà disponibile con un unico pacchetto batterie da 77.4 kWh e diverse opzioni: - motore singolo posteriore RWD da 225 hp (168 kW) e 350 Nm; - motore doppio AWD da 313 hp (234 kW) e 605 Nm; - motore doppio AWD da 429 hp (320 kW) e 605 Nm. Genesis ha implementato il veicolo con l'Active Sound Design, e-ASD, una scelta di sound creati in laboratorio che spaziano dal Futuristic, al G-Engine (sportivo e vicino ai motori a combustione), al E-Motor che reinventa il suono dei motori elettrici. GV60 è anche dotata di differenziale elettronico a slittamento limitato e Preview Electronic Control Suspension, un sistema che mediante telecamera corregge il set-up delle sospensioni a seconda del tipo di strada o ostacoli che trova davanti a sé. Le varianti a trazione integrale, inoltre, sono dotate di Disconnector Actuator System, che permette al guidatore di sceglie se guidare l'auto a trazione posteriore od integrale. Immancabile la ricarica veloce da 400/800V, su sistema da 350 kW, che permette una ricarica dal 10% all'80% in circa 18 minuti. Le portiere possono essere sbloccate tramite riconoscimento facciale, mentre all'interno oltre al cambio "Crystal Sphere" troviamo un impianto audi Bang & Olufsen (il primo per una Genesis) con ben 17 altoparlanti.
