Sai molto spesso i ritardi sono noti già da subito...ma sai com'è il reparto commerciale:scendono una mattina e ti dicono "deve essere tutto pronto per la data X"...e ahimè va rispettata,solamente che qui parliamo di un aereo,non di un frullatore elettrico :lol:

Riepto:complimenti ancora per l'azzardo e sopratutto hanno azzardato su un modello commerciale che rappresenta il loro core-businness,non hanno fatto cento modelli sperimentali X-50/60/70/80 che poi sappiamo come vanno afinire :)

EVERETT, Wash., Sept. 27, 2008 -- Boeing [NYSE:BA] successfully completed a high-pressure test, known as "high blow," on the 787 Dreamliner static test airframe at its Everett factory today. The test is one of three static tests that must be cleared prior to first flight. During the test, the airframe reached an internal pressure of 150 percent of the maximum levels expected to be seen in service - 14.9 lbs. per square inch (1.05 kilograms per centimeter) gauge (psig). It took nearly two hours to complete the test, as pressure was slowly increased to ensure the integrity of the airplane.

"We had every confidence going into this test because of the extensive work we've done on larger and larger pieces of composite - from small coupons to fuselage sections," said Pat Shanahan, vice president and general manager of the 787 program. "Still, it's very rewarding to see a whole airplane being tested and having the results we expected.

"I am so proud of the team that has worked on this program and the progress we are making."

Nuova tegola sul progetto 787: sembra che non ci saranno consegne fino al 2010:

Analyst: No 787 deliveries until 2010

UBS analyst David Strauss released a report earlier today stating that the first 787 deliveries will not take place until 2010. Strauss cites the original schedule for flight test aircraft laid out in April, which says first flight was supposed to take place October 29, following a targeted assembly completion of August 31.

The assembly completion of Dreamliner One slipped to October 6 prior to the strike. FlightBlogger is not able to confirm one way or another currently if assembly completion was reached per the revised schedule, though this blogger has learned the left engine was recently reinstalled and the aircraft has been powered on consistently in recent days.

The schedule, published by UBS and confirmed by FlightBlogger, also states that assembly was set to be completed on September 10 and September 25 for Dreamliners Two and Three, respectively. Strauss identifies the strike, along with a five week slip in assembly completion on Dreamliner One, as the primary catalyst for his bearish analysis.

Watching flights into Paine Field in Everett: We are tracking movements of Boeing's modified 747 "Dreamlifter" fleet to gauge the progress of 787 production. Specifically, we are monitoring Dreamlifter flights into Snohomish County Paine Field Airport (KPAE) in Everett WA, adjacent to 787 production, to gauge the pace of shipments from the major structural suppliers. Major structural components are delivered via the Dreamlifter fleet to Boeing in Everett and include the wings from Japan, aft fuselage from Charleston SC, center fuselage from Italy (via Charleston), and forward fuselage from Wichita KS.

Strike halts already slow-paced structural deliveries: We did not track any Dreamlifter flights into Everett in September as Boeing has apparently halted all 787 deliveries from its suppliers given the ongoing Machinists strike. We continued to track some center fuselage deliveries to Charleston.

Flight test program now unlikely to complete prior to early 2010: Even prior to the Machinists strike that began in September, the slow pace of structural deliveries had led us to believe that Boeing was highly unlikely to hit its revised 787 flight test schedule. Boeing has now missed the scheduled assembly complete dates for the first three flight test aircraft and we believe the flight test program is unlikely to complete prior to early 2010.

With this new assessment, launch customer All Nippon Airways of Japan will not receive its first 787 next year. James Wallace of the Seattle Post Intelligencer reports in his blog today that the airline was set to receive ZA007 (JA801A) on August 15, 2009.

With the global markets in free fall, along with this grim new assessment, Boeing's stock today was trading at the same level it was on the day the 7E7 was launched in April of 2004.

Without any deliveries in 2010, Boeing's production ramp up would be snarled, inevitably forcing a revamp of its previous production forecasting. Geoffrey Thomas of The Australian reported last week that:

Following the most recently announced delay in April, it was expected that the company would deliver 25 next year, 69 in 2010, 103 in 2011 and 120 in 2012.

Boeing still maintains it is targeting 2008 for first flight of the 787. If this goal is accomplished, however unlikely, the challenge of getting the remaining flight test aircraft airborne remains extremely difficult without the machinists who were responsible for the remaining structural work that was still yet to be completed on ZA002, ZA003 and ZA004.

Comunque noto che in questo thread non ci sono foto reali dell'aereo completo, solo rendering, nonostante un mock-up semicompleto sia stato presentato l'8 luglio 2007 (in notazione anglosassone 7/8/07 :lol:).

Questi aerei che tipo di assemblaggio hanno? Dalla foto mi pare che usino il sitema di assemblaggio ad isola...ma potrei sbagliarmi,Impianti Industriali è una materia che mi fa cagare :lol:

Per il tipo di assemblaggio, non saprei esattamente come si chiama. Purtroppo da noi a Napoli un esame di impianti industriali non l'abbiamo fatto :oops:

Boeing still plans to complete 787 maiden flight this year

Boeing is still aiming to get the 787 airborne before the end of the year, despite the ongoing industrial stoppage that has brought production at its plants to a standstill.

"We are still planning first flight for the fourth quarter," says the airframer. This target was set in April, when Boeing announced the latest rescheduling to the 787 programme, pushing back first deliveries from late this year to the third quarter of 2009.

The reconfirmation of the planned schedule came in reaction to comments by early 787 customer Northwest Airlines that it needed its first aircraft to have the range and technical specifications that have been promised by Boeing. The North American launch operator is due to receive its first of 18 787s in the last quarter of 2009.Speaking at last week's Boyd aviation forecast summit in Aspen, Colorado, Northwest vice-president international marketing and sales Fred Deschamps said: "We need the full range and the full efficiency."

Airbus has claimed that it has learned from "market intelligence" that early-build 787s will have performance penalties due to "tonnes" of extra operating empty weight.

Boeing says: "For our customers, the ability to fly their missions is paramount and we're committed to making those airplanes meet those missions." It adds that it will have "more specific airplane performance data following flight testing. That [performance testing] is scheduled to happen first quarter 2009."
