mmmh non so, se lo anticipano al 2013 significherebbe aspettare due anni per un rebadge, rischiando di importare un modello ormai vecchio e non al passo con la concorrenza. Secondo me il voyager non lo importano, per un semplice motivo, perchè dovrebbero togliere volumi alla rete di vendita americana rischiando di avere auto invendute qua ma che sarebbero state vendute facilmente là. Oppure rischiare di aumentare i volumi là, con conseguente adeguamento impianti e costi connessi, trovandosi con macchine non vendute qua e che non sarebbero comunqe state neanche vendute là.

bhe in relazione al suo prezzo il voyager vende molto meglio di altro all'interno del gruppo e anche rispetto a svariati concorrenti nel segmento. Tra tutte quelle da importare il voyager di certo è quello che ha più speranze, vista la sua storia

A new report indicates Chrysler will launch the next generation of the Town & Country in 2015.Production is expected to kick off in 2015 at the Windsor Assembly Plant, according to WardsAuto Information Products industry analyst Haig Stoddard. He added the minivan will be sold as a 2016 model year. Stoddard also said production of a Chrysler crossover will start in 2016 and be offered for the 2017 model year as a spiritual successor to the Chrysler Pacifica.

The current generation of the Town & Country came out initially as a 2008MY when it was assembled in St. Louis, Missouri. In late 2008 production was relocated to Windsor, Ontario, Canada, while for the 2011MY the model went through significant changes in terms of mechanicals and styling.

Più probabile che si tratti dell'ormai arcinota separazione tra Chrysler Town & Country e Dodge Grand Caravan, uno che diventa van e l'altro che diventa crossover.

Il crossover replacement della Voyager era apparso nei product plan Chrysler almeno un paio di volte.

Le fonti ufficiali (sebbene non recenti) sembrerebbero accreditare l'ipotesi Chrysler D-Crossover e Dodge Grand Caravan.

Personalmente la ritengo anche la soluzione più auspicabile, anche in riferimento ai rebagding per l'Europa.

Chrysler FWD-Based 7-Passenger CUV Could use Next-Gen Minivan Platform

Chrysler is developing a new seven-passenger crossover to take on vehicles like the Chevrolet Traverse, according to brand president and CEO Al Gardner.

Per Fiat Chrysler’s five-year plan, we know this vehicle will launch in 2017. What we didn’t know until our chat with the Chrysler brand CEO yesterday is what platform it would be built off of. Per Gardner, the Durango simply isn’t large enough for many customers in the segment and is too aggressive. He envisions a vehicle to go head-to-head with large people-movers like the Chevrolet Traverse and Toyota Highlander. Gardner suggested that the vehicle will follow the established formula closely, in that it would be a front-wheel drive platform with an all-wheel drive option and powered by a V-6 engine. Naturally, then, the Durango platform is out. Gardner also spoke of the need to build more models off of existing architectures to maximize the investment in those platforms, so we believe this new crossover will be built off of the next-generation minivan platform. Furthermore, the crossover will feature a plug-in hybrid variant and the only plug-in hybrid currently being developed at Chrysler is the next-generation minivan.

While the two vehicles will likely share underpinnings, we expect they’ll look significantly different, with the as-yet unnamed crossover adopting SUV styling cues to distance itself from the Town & Country minivan. The two will likely share powertrains, from the plug-in hybrid to standard gasoline V-6 engines. It’s possible Chrysler could offer both the smaller 3.2-liter, 271-hp Pentastar V-6 and the larger 3.6-liter, 275-305-hp Pentastar V-6 to give customers a range of power and fuel economy options. No word yet on whether the Aspen nameplate will be revived.
