Previously, it was reported that the DOM is underpinned by Nio’s third-generation platform, NT 3.0. It will offer customers two optional batteries for 60 kWh and 90 kWh. The entry-level DOM will have a single electric motor developed by Nio. This decision was made to reduce its starting price. However, the DOM will also be available with 4WD. Same with every other Nio car, it supports the battery swap function. According to Nio officials, over a thousand PSS will be available for the Alps after the market launch.

Previously, Nio’s co-founder and CEO William Li asked people who want to buy the Tesla Model Y to wait for the Alps DOM. He underlined that their car would be cheaper. The DOM is expected to start from 250,000 yuan (34,700 USD), while the Model Y costs 258,900 – 363,900 yuan (36,000 – 50,500 USD). William Li also mentioned that the Alps crossover will have faster charging and a bigger screen.

There is no exact information about the launch of the Alps DOM. However, we expect Nio to officially introduce it shortly as its trial production is scheduled for July.

Molto intelligente e la scritta "meglio di Model Y" è la testimonianza che ci vuole una linea cheap per fare concorrenza a Tesla, ovvero con la loro stessa strategia, il risparmio ad ogni costo, che è il non-segreto di Musk.

 

Se fai un EV di standard qualitativo e dotazioni convenzionali, non ci stai dentro coi prezzi.

 

secondo me, non solo Musk ha fortemente pressato il mondo auto a virare sull'EV, e perciò lo sostenevo, ma purtroppo anche ad abbassare il livello qualititativo, vedi VW ID. Spero solo che altri non seguano i suoi tagli sulla sicurezza...

Ma il problema è che le Polestar hanno prezzi inavvicinabili (ma anche le Nio, infatti va male in EU), e questa dovrebbe essere low-cost.

Tesla insegna che auto EV cheap, nude e fatte male sono la chiave per il successo commerciale, quindi credo che queste ALP low cost salveranno NIO.
