  • Più o meno la differenza di dimensioni e volumetria tra corta e lunga dovrebbe essere così.     E ora ricoveratemi davvero

  • I don't know current state of affair but originally Jeep WL and Alfa 964 were closely related. Of course they would use different engines GME T4 D and GME T6 for Jeep, GME T4 M and V6 90° for Alfa. Th

No, nothing like Pacifica. It's a Jeep Cherokee with longer wheelbase and longer rear overhang.

It wouldn't work as a Jeep in North America. Maybe as Chrysler.

BTW. It seems that a RWD based Giorgio Cherokee is almost a done deal.

Do we know anything else about it? I'd be one of the first customers 😍

I suppose the 4x4 version would be replaced by 4xe?

No, the 4x4 will be not only PHEV. RWD probably will have only for engine with less than 300hp (2.0 turbo, 3.0 diesel and 3.6 V6).

Facciamo un favore a questo mondo... Meno SUV, più 4C e Lotus...

OT:
Well, consider that in the USA Jeep Cherokee is like our GOLF, and it's currently sold with these options:

Latitude/Latitude Plus/Altitude: 2.4 L4 9SPEED (TIGERSHARK) engine
Latitude Lux/80th Anniversary/Limited: 3.2 V6 24V VVT engine and 2.0 L4 TURBO engine
Trailhawk: 3.2 V6 24V VVT engine only
High Altitude: 2.0 L4 TURBO engine only

So it could be that over there it will be sold with mechanical 4x4 but...

Here in Italy in the past years it was only sold with the:
- 2.2 194 CV Mjt engine
for all models except the trailhawk  version that was sold with the
- GME 272CV 9SPEED engine, petrol (even though I think i've never seen one).

The question is, even if they confirm an RWD Giorgio Cherokee worlwide, how will they be able to sell a real 4x4 (in EU) when their goal in the past months was to push the 4xE technology?(Trailhawk versions of Compass and Renegade disappeared and not even less  extreme off road versions are available with mechanical 4x4 but only 4xE).

Cherokee wasn't selling very well in the past years, I doubt Stellantis will choose to give us anything >300 hp with real 4x4 when it will only cause them to increase their co2 parameter.

I'd be glad if they did it but I really doubt it unless they basically take Stelvio, change its sheet metal giving it a "jeep" form and rebadge it as Jeep Cherokee for europe but with Tavares firing in the US and critizicing Italy's plants costs  I don't see it happening.
