Discutendo con un giornalista-"amico" che copre la F1, ho imparato un retroscena abbastanza interessante, anche se non sarà mai confermato dai diretti interessati.

Durante la stagione 2006, pare che Schumi sarebbe stato disposto a rimanere un anno supplementare. Ad una condizione : che Kimi non fosse il suo compagno di squadra. Todt era d'accordo, ma il veto è arrivato dall'alto. Montezemolo voleva Kimi, puntando sul futuro.

Se questa storia fosse vera, non dò tutti i torti a LCDM. Ha deciso di puntare sul lungo termine, non voleva farsi filare Raikkonen.
