[h=2]Could be launched next year[/h] According to a recent report, SAIC is developing a new MG5 sedan.

Little is known about the model but Car News China says it will be based on the Roewe 350 sedan and launched next year. The car's styling will likely be influenced by the hatchback, so expect an aggressive front fascia and a prominent charchter line.

The model is expected to be powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that develops approximately 127 bhp (95 kW) and 147 lb-ft (199 Nm) of torque. It will likely be connected to a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which should help to improve performance and fuel efficiency.

Nothing is official, but European availability remains in doubt as higher ups are reportedly favoring the production version of the CS concept over the sedan.
