quindi, riesce più facile spremere alla follia una cosa che in caso di cappella agevoli il recupero, che un oggetto piccolo agile e nervoso come la 4C

Questo discorso vale per noi comuni mortali...per piloti e collaudatori non si discute, si tira alla morte e basta...e questo distacco dimostra che come al solito a Dieppe le macchine la fanno con i controcoglioni!

The Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy-R just took the front-wheel drive Nürburgring lap record from the Seat Leon Cupra 280 but it looks like the Spanish automaker isn't going down without a fight.In an interview with Auto Express, Leon Cupra chassis development manager Sven Schawe said "Yes Renault have the record, but it's a very different type of car to ours. If we removed parts from our car, it's only four seconds, I'm confident we could beat it."

Schawe went on to suggest the company could offer a lightweight model to retake the front-wheel drive lap record. While nothing is official, Schawe said "We already have a car like this" and they have to decide if they want to "continue this competition with Renault." There's no word on whether or not the lightweight model will be approved for production but Schawe suggested it would only be green-lighted if there was enough demand from customers.

Credo che anche loro, però, la sera vogliano tornare a casa con le ossa nello stesso posto che avevano la mattina e questo, su 22km, fa la differenza.

Non volevo sminuire il risultato della Megane, semplicemente spiegare come la conformazione di quella pista può esaltare alcune caratteristiche e penalizzarne altre.

Il pilota della Megane l'ho visto molto carico, mentre il pilota della 4c era in maniche di camicia, probabilmente su 22 km di tracciato qualcosa di meglio si poteva fare.

Se non sbaglio il tempo sulla 4c l'ha fatto von saurma che è un grandissimi esperto di ring ma non è un collaudatore ufficiale o un pilota professionista, non è sicuramente "motivato" altrettanto! (Tornando al discorso di Luca )

L' auto ha senso dal punto di vista del marketing (leggi tornare ad essere la TA più' veloce al ring) ed è' stata messa giu' per rendere stradale quella che ha fatto il tempone. Al contrario di Leon che, se non ricordo male, non è in commercio con la versione del ring che presentava parecchie differenze con la Cupra di serie.

Da quello che so io la Leon cupra del record era di serie, idenica a quella acquistabile. Magari avranno cambiato i pneumatici, non lo so.

Ciao, in realta' la vettura aveva un performance pack non ancora disponibile sull' auto di serie, ed in piu' era priva di aria condizionata

SEAT confirms Performance Pack; 'fesses up that record car mods included stripping out air-con

UPDATE: Earlier in the week (see below) we reported the SEAT Leon Cupra 280's headline-grabbing sub eight-minute Nurburgring lap was achieved in a car fitted with a Performance Pack not yet available on production cars. Meaning, strictly speaking, the Cupra you can buy wouldn't be capable of the same feat.Assuming you wanted one that was here's the full information on that Performance Pack spec. First up, the 'ring car was stripped of its air-con system in what we can safely assume was a weight-saving exercise curiously not mentioned in the initial press release celebrating the record. This subsequent disclosure does mean SEAT is honour bound to offer that choice to Performance Pack buyers too, even if it expects few to go that far.

New wheels, brakes and tyres and no air-con

SEAT has also confirmed details of the wheel, tyre and brake package fitted and to be included in the Performance Pack. The record car had to run on Mk2 Cupra 19-inch wheels to clear the Brembo brakes, which run four-pot fixed calipers clamping 370mm discs at the front. Standard brakes are single pot sliding calipers and 340mm discs, the rear brakes the same on both. Homologating a new 19-inch wheel for the customer pack is one of the reasons it's not available yet. Wheel offset and tyre size (235/35R19) remain as before but the Bridgestones or Pirellis of standard cars are replaced by the Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2s. There were no further modifications to the chassis, engine or any other parts of the car.SEAT expects to have the pack ready for sale before the end of the year with UK pricing and availability to be confirmed.

Meaning if you absolutely, positively have to have your Cupra in full 'ring record spec and truly live up to that hype you'll have to wait, tick the necessary box and then source some Mk2 Cupra alloys for the finished look. And explain to your no doubt awe-struck passengers that sweaty pits are the price to pay for ultimate Nurburgring credibility, all the while hoping Vauxhall doesn't run the Astra Extreme round there any time soon and steal the record for its own ends.

Non é disponibile in Italia, in paesi normali tipo Spagna (sticazzi é casa sua) e Germania dove Seat non é visto come il marchio dei poveri c'è eccome.

Consiste in impianto frenante Brembo, cerchi da 19" orrendi, minigonne Seat sport, verniciatura del tetto nera e pneumatici Michelin Pilot sport cup 2. Tutta sta roba a circa 2700€.
