Consiglio: quale modem+router wifi?

Si, si, lo so. E' per non prenderne un ennesimo nel momento in cui andrò a cambiare pc...

Quello che volevo capire è se N "tira" + lungo a prescindere che il pc sia G o altro

Ma tecnicamente sia N che G hanno ottime coprture, così come quei vari G+ nati poco tempo fa per fare concorrenza agli N ancora acerbi

E' solo che per esempio con la nostra schedina wifi 802.11h non ho mai provato a connettermi ad una rete 802.11n ma se devo fare lavorare il router con standard 802.11g non penso che abbia la copertura da N usando lo standard G :D non so se dico una stronzata,sto andando un po a tentoni

il problema è che basta un muro,un angolo,la cassetta del cesso :lol: per variare di molto il segnale per cui molti discorsi sono aleatori, bisognerebbe chiedere a Stev che è l'esperto di teoria dei segnali :D io mi fermo a nozioni base di elettromagnetismo Happy

Un'ultima domanda (forse :D): mi dicono che tiscali abbia un particolarità nella (???) banda di connessione (???), che è leggermente differente da tutte le altre.

Io ho sempre utilizzato il modem tiscali, agganciato ad un router D-link, mai nessun problema.

Se sostituisco il modem tiscali con il Netgear (sia per avere meno aggeggi, sia per avere roba + di qualità), potrei avere problemi per il motivo di cui sopra?

il problema è che basta un muro,un angolo,la cassetta del cesso :lol: per variare di molto il segnale per cui molti discorsi sono aleatori, bisognerebbe chiedere a Stev che è l'esperto di teoria dei segnali :D io mi fermo a nozioni base di elettromagnetismo Happy

Se non erro usano il PPPoA al posto del PPPoE: non credo che ci siano router ADSL che non gestiscono i due protocolli.

Domanda agli esperti, qual'è il migliore nelle due coppie, per ciascuna alternativa? e soprattutto, consiglio spassionato se prendere modem/router o solo router...

il problema dell'802.11n è che ancora in draft, quindi per ora non è ancora standard, quindi boh, secondo me ora non ha molto senso, anche se ad esempio il mio MBP ce l'ha, perché Apple è stata la prima ad introdurlo nei suoi computer, con il MacBook della seconda metà del 2006 (un po' come accadde con la 802.11b e l'802.11g).
