A meno che......vista la volontà di BMW di fare una 1er supersport, l'Audi nona bbia deciso di "mutuare" la meccanica TT-RS anche sull'A3 in tempi brevi per proporre una "farewell edition"....

The Audi A1 and all-new A8 may not be in line for a Frankfurt Motor Show reveal, but the Germany automaker will reportedly use the September show to takes the wraps off its RS3 hot hatch. The RS3 promises to take the already potent S3 to the next performance level.

According to Auto Motor & Sport, Audi will use the Frankfurt show to unveil its high-performance RS3 model. Work on the RS3 has been ongoing for several months now, as evidenced by our spy photos. Audi board member Michael Dick also confirmed a hotter version of the S3 was under consideration earlier this year.

At the heart of the RS3 will be an Audi TT RS-sourced 2.5L five-cylinder turbocharged engine. Tuned to produce 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, the RS3 should be able to easily scoot from 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds, with the electronic nannies kicking in at about 155 mph.

In order to keep that extra power in check, look for the RS3 to also feature an upgraded suspension as well as more powerful brakes.

credo che vederla a Francoforte sia molto improbabile

per essere pronta fra un mese, ci dovrebbero essere numerosi avvistamenti dei muletti, invece è apparso una volta sola qualche tempo fa.

piuttosto, sono anche dubbioso che quest'auto verrà effettivamente prodotta. ci hanno pensato seriamente, come dimostrano sia le parole del direttore di r&d sia il muletto, ma imho ci sono alte probabilità che il progetto sia stato scartato.

ovviamente si tratta di mie supposizioni, vedremo fra poco

anche meno... l'erede di A3 dovrebbe essere presentata l'anno prossimo ed essere venduta da inizio 2011, stando alle poche notizie trapelate

p.s. sul sito svedese da cui è partita la "notizia" dicono che una eventuale RS3 dovrebbe andare più forte di una R8 4,2

ora non so cosa vogliano dire con "andare più forte", ma comunque no comment

la fiancat indubbiamente si e forse anche il retro ma il frontale del FL lo trovo ben riuscito ed attualissimo:-P

vabbè su auto bild il prox mese faranno una comparativa con la 458 italia...

naturalmente vincerà l'audi di un punto per migliore insonorizzazione e capienza bagagliaio.
