Mercedes has announced the S 350 BlueTEC is now available, in Germany, for €76,279.

Under the hood, the car is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine with 190 kW (258 PS / 255 hp) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the S 350 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, before topping out at an electronically limited 250 km/h (155 mph). Despite being more powerful than its predecessor, the engine is 11% more economical thanks to AdBlue aqueous urea injection. This allows the car to have an average fuel consumption of 6.8 L/100km and CO2 emissions of 177 grams per kilometer (an improvement from 7.6 L/100km and 199 grams of CO2 per km).

Besides the new engine, the S 350 is available with Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, PASSION leather / Alcantara upholstery, and a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG sound system with 15 speakers, two amplifiers, and a total output of 1200 watts.
